Yeah, I hated that no matter how much i used it, It just wasn't getting dark. It was worse in person. Hopefully this new strap will be better

I got my classic speedy 25 in monogram print this year in June and have carried it since I have bought it and it has developed a beautiful patina and I’m in love with it 😍😍

My SpeedyB strap has also developed a strange patina. I don’t find it comfortable and don’t use it that often but it is definitely not all the same color which makes me like it even less. I asked my SA and was told it was fine, of course. Ugh. Glad you got a new strap and are happy with your speedy!
Yeah it’s so weird! I’ve never had that happen before. Like i said about my speedy b 30, I mainly used it as the short strap and it STILL all matched. It’s so weird

Yeah it really was bothering me. I used it SO often yet that middle pieces was like “screw you, I’ll stay pale” lol. Rude
My pochette metis did this - the top handle is darker than the two loops that hold it in place. It looks a little weird but not enough to do anything about it. Your strap is a different story though! Glad you got a new one.
I’ve seen Metis bags for that exact thing! It would make me crazy too lol.
I’m all about an even and dark patina
Hi! I have 2 louies with beige vachetta and swore I wouldn't buy any with that again. As gorgeous as it looks when it's new...I don't care for it when it gets darker. And the water marks bother me. I have water marks on the straps of my Totally PM which was my first LV about 10--12 years ago. The rest of the bag is pristine. Thanks for sharing!
Oh man I LOVE dark patina!! :) I’m not a fan of them when they are light but so many love it new
@@LVCoffeeLVer It's amazing and awesome how we all see things differently. I think if the patina was perfectly even, I would like it, but it always seems to be spotty.

Yeah it’s so annoying that it did that. Odd really. I’d get it if I never used the middle but I did for over a year and it just wouldn’t budge. Fingers crossed it’s better :)

Great video! I’m curious about your comment about loving the smell of the bag. I just bought a new mm Monogram Neverfull and it’s the first time a LV bag of mine has had a smell at all. I purchased it at a boutique and it’s clearly unused, but it smells a little bit floral but also sort of has a chemical undertone. It’s MIF and only a week old or so. Is this normal? Do you think the smell will fade?

Hard to tell TBH, I can’t describe what I think it smells like but it sure does smell good!! It does fade over time but takes a while 😄😄😄

Thanks so much for the response! It’s lessening already. My sense of smell is all jacked from Covid so I can’t tell if I like it or not. Lol. Your perspective definitely helps!
That definitely would bother me too- Especially for the price point. I think they probably used different pieces to make the strap. It was nice that he sent you a replacement strap however you’re going to have to now deal with the new strap patina being lighter than your bag. Let’s hope that it ages differently than the original strap. Side question: as an everyday crossbody which size speedy bandolier would you suggest: 20, 25 or 30?

It's still looking pretty good but mine has changed color even without use. Its still getting darker. I hate when the LV stores always giving different information. My bag is an older bag and its doing teh same thing. The strap pieces has different colors. Just when I was about to get another LV bag, this video reminds me of the quality I won't be getting. TFS. I hope the new one wears better.
It’s just crazy. I mean I get it not being even if you constantly use it different but like 95% of the time I used it with the long strap. Even the top handles are light. It’s all just weird right
I have a speedy B as well and my straps patina’d faster than my bag itself by at least 3 shades and continued to patina and I stopped wearing my straps for that reason
So annoying right?? I’m hoping my new strap does better

The patina issue also happened to me on the straps of my bumbag. Keep getting stonewalled by LV it’s infuriating!
