With all the automation and increased productivity, we have been promised for decades that people would have to work less and that robots would take over most of the work. But workload and stress have increased instead of decreasing. It's time for workers to get their fair share of the obscene profits (hence all the strikes) and finally a less stressful work-life balance. I think the quiet quitting phenomenon during and after the pandemic was one of the catalysts, as well as the YOLO feeling you get when thousands are dying in trenches in Europe's backyard every day.
i think it’s a lot of “doing what we did 50 years ago” despite advances in automation. i really think the next 10 years will be crazy and we will see a lot of office jobs seem more and more a relic of the past.
Good point, I forgot to mention this in the video. From what I could tell, it looks like some companies do 80% pay for 4 days, some do 100% pay for 4 days.
you have the same amount of work and longer workdays. most have 39 to 43 hours per week. with a free friday and same money it ends in longer work days. For me it would be 2 hours more per day.
Maybe when they have more AI/automation, but while there is still over 1 million unfilled positions in Germany I don't think the job market will soften anytime soon

Ade you sure about the '4 day, same pay' thing? I guess a lot of companies will reduce the pay accordingly

Do you still have your isolated property from the other channel in the US?
I do :)
After home office and 4 day work week, it wont be too hard on people when they get layed off.

Home office workers and bull$hit job workers will be the first to go. @@MattSuozzo
If it works out, why not. I'm now pre-retired because of burn-out and other things. Working your ass of doesn't pay off on your health.
amen 🙌🏼
