Arkansas is the best kept secret in the US! Every time I go, I'm blown away with how beautiful all the camping areas are.

I just love lake Ouachita. Did a multi day kayaking trip there a few years ago. We camped at the state park and some of the islands on the lake. Been planning on going back with the Teardrop. Buckville Recreation Area on the North side of the lake looked nice as we paddled by. Ron Coleman mine just to the East of the lake is a great stop to go and dig for quartz crystals if you're in to that sort of thing.

After this stop we will come back for an extended stay. Crystal dig would be fun. Maybe a good fall activity. Appreciate the comment Mike.
