I'm cheating a little and starting in November. I want to use my 6x6 Christmas paper pads and thought it would be fun to do 12 days of projects in the month of December (and a little November) using those paper pads. Be prepared for a little bit of everything.
You still have time to make a few more cards if you need them (or it's never too early to start on next year's). I tried out an older technique I've always wanted to try but just never managed to get around to it and that's Iris Folding. Now I'm no expert but I'll walk you through what I did to come up with these cute Christmas Tree cards.

I’ve done iris fold cards before but never made my own template. Thanks so much for the detailed instructions. Love the colours you chose and that red heart is the perfect splash of colour. Love them!

It was actually easier than I thought it would be. A Christmas ornament die would be another easy shape to adapt. ~Melanie

I think these are so cool. Your instructions are great. You made it look so simple. I don’t know if my dyslexia type disability can work with all the lines. It is something I want to try and create after the Holidays when I am more calm. Do you work in half inches, no matter the size of the cutout? Does the stripes of paper have to be folded or can it just be laid flat? Thanks for the tutorial and idea.

I think a half inch is a general good size. The smaller the image you may want to make the size smaller or you won’t have too many fold. I think if you didn’t fold the paper it wouldn’t be quite the same. The folded bit goes each layer a little dimension from the layer below . It also gives a neat edge. But you could try and see what you think. ~Melanie

Thank you for good detailed instructions however the backgrounds music is unnecessary and distracting.
