Hi Mike Mulligan o&m mobility instructor and I am visually impaired adult with limited vision and I use a white cane with a roller ball cane tip that I replace and buy a new cane tip every 6 months or so.I enjoy watching your videos and they are helpful to me when using my white cane on the buses, let train,on my walks, when I go to the two malls in my Alberta country and city.I have had o&m mobility instructions with my instructor whenever I move to a new area that I am unfamiliar with.I do practice your techniques with my white cane that does an awesome job of picking up where stairs are, curbs, objects, etc but when I am on the grass potholes are much harder to find and stay away from and I have occasionally sprained my ankle so I only walk on the sidewalk areas etc.

Hi Mike, the only two annoying things about using my white cane is the pot holes and bad cracks on the sidewalk areas around my Alberta city

Even though my cane picks up objects, pot holes etc it is the cracks in the sidewalks that my cane catches and bumps my stomach area
