Hi, got the same vehicle. The car became sluggish a lot. Alarm: Intake boost pressure low. I first thought it was the turbo. Nope it was clogged from the engine to the exhaust, also the intake ducting had oil in there. I rebuild the turbo, blanked the EGR inlet, cleaned the exhaust from the turbo manifold till the catalytic convertor. Drilled a 30mm hole right through the catalytic convertor to by-pass this unit-(freeflow now) Also put in a catch-can to catch oil from the crank to the inlet of the turbo to prevent oil from going into the intake. Now.....it is a Porche. Goes to 220km in a flash. Not a good idea...but it can do it. No alarms. Am going to make a video and post it. Oh, I am not a mechanic. Handyman, took me 2 weeks. I also build in an aftermarket touchscreen with built-in everything.
My dad had this car 2.2 CRDi 2008, sold (at my great displeasure) in 2014 with 360 thousand kilometers on primarily (very bad) Bosnian roads... Brilliant car. Maintenance was like only regular stuff... Very very sad that we sold it but yeah at that moment I wasn't asked I'd grab it for myself...
Great review. Please share the aftermarket system you are using for entertainment and the rearview mirror. Also, do you think that it is possible to buy the 3rd row of seats additionally and put it in a Santa fe?
I also have one, a 2007 unit in titanium blue. Though I have to say that yours is in way better shape than mine. What gas mileage do you get with this car in city driving?
Sorry for the late reply. The Everest (1st and 2nd gen) is longer and more spacious than the Santa Fe. The santa fe though feels more modern and the interior looks better. It depends on your preference and lifestyle. If you want a big SUV that can seat 7 adults, then the everest is probably a better choice for you. If you'd rather have a smaller SUV, then the Santa fe is a good choice
Hi sorry for the late reply. I don't have the exact measurement but there's plenty of space in the back with the 3rd and row seats folded down. You can fit furniture in there
