This is very refreshing and inspiring to hear. I feel you on the time management of a full time job and UA-cam. Wish you all the best and for the channel to grow more and more!
You have a great personality for content creation, and your ability to keep it real is definitely admirable. If I were you I would focus on everything you are still doing but work on the hook and get straight into business people don’t have the attention span to hear a whole background on everything. Put the background into the middle while doing something. How to videos are huge, a lot of people want to know how to Can and live naturally. You’ll get it eventually, keep it up!
Just Subscribed ! I can highly relate to this , I started posting a few months ago , stuck at 29 subs and UA-cams stats stress me a bit , when I spend hours , sometimes days editing a video, that I think is great , only for it to completely flop. 😔 Your video is encouraging me to keep going ! Thanks for posting 🙏🏾
Thank you for making this video! I started my channel last July and I'm doing ok. The part I find most challenging is time. With a full time job, volunteer work, keeping up with life/family and a YT channel I struggle to get videos out. Channels like VidIQ and Think Media say consistency is key but that is not really possible for me. I started my channel because I would go walking around Mall of America for exercise during the winter. I finally decided it would be great to share a tourist hotspot and get exercise at the same time. Not sure if I will ever be monetized but I am learning a lot! That is my biggest thrill. Good luck on this channel. I see you gained subscribers from this video. Congratulations!
I watched the whole thing 😌and I subbed. Looking forward to baking and gardening with you. I also have a new channel. Started around 5 months ago. My journey has been much much different though. I hope this doesn't discourage you or anyone else .. I got monetized in 4 weeks, and I currently have ~13k subs. This endeavor does require some forethought, and a thick skin at times. I post consistently, and I listen to my viewers. If there's anything I'm convinced of , its this: Make sure your content has one thing that can't be found in other videos. This could be your personality, this could be your style, this could be your editing methods. There has to be something Different. I happen to have a very particular art style and teaching style that is appealing to a good number of people, and its working for me. You can do this! I hope for the best for you. 🧡💜💙💜🧡
Totally relate to this! I started my UA-cam journey just over a year ago. I've had some successful videos, tons of views, lots of comments and likes, but am still not monetised. Like you, I avidly watch my subscriber count (currently have 844) and respond to all the comments either with a response or a 'heart' sign. Some of the videos I have expected to go well just haven't, and I have discovered that the ones I 'know' are going to flop are the ones that do great. I guess it's just a case of sticking at at, keeping the content coming and eventually you and I will make it! I used to find it disheartening to not get 1000 views (the goal I set myself for each vid, and so far I've achieved that and more) and those darn 'thumbs down' but now I put it down to experience and take the negative comments on the chin. If I took it all as a personal attack I would have stopped long ago. Keep going and you (and me) will get there. It's not about the money, it's about the satisfaction of having achieved something worth while. You've just gained another sub!
I totally understand what you are saying! I have been on here a year. I have a channel for autistic adults. I just thought once I got 1000 subscribers, things would be great. It's one thing to get 1000 subscribers, but then the other part of the requirements is to have 4000 watch hours. I get the highs and lows feelings too. However, my hobby is editing the videos and putting them together. That's my passion. I think that's why I've held on this long to uploading. Good luck to you and your channel. :)
don't be disappointed if your next video doesn't pop after this one. This particular video is a very universal sentiment across content creators big and small no mater the niche. LOVE the channel name BTW.
Don't give up. I have watched some of your videos and I was subscribed I thought. I checked and saw that it was one that had been unsubscribed like some that I used to be subscribed to that I went back to watch another video and saw that yt unsubscribed me. I have had my channel for a while but I don't know what I'm doing and I don't know how to edit. So as I have gotten busy with work so I hadn't had a chance to make enough videos to share. I can't afford certain things that other channels use to make good videos. I'm planning my wedding and trying to earn enough to save for that and my business has completely changed so I have to work out my new prices to keep up with inflation and expenses being too expensive. I have so much to do so I got overwhelmed and wasn't ready to make more videos. I'm going to keep trying and learn how to do UA-cam.
I think your personality is great and enjoyed this video. I stopped watching over the summer because I was concentrating on what people were growing and harvesting. I was put off by you repeating that you didn’t have the prolific garden you wanted because you were in Europe. Have you looked into creating a collaboration with some of the popular UA-camrs? That is were I have found a lot of newbies with few subscribers. I always try to support them as they are starting out. Good luck💥
Thank you for commenting! Collaboration is a good idea and something I haven't really considered, but will! Thank you for pointing out what put you off, I really appreciate the feedback because I want to get better at this! Thanks!!
I heard somewhere YT have changed their requirements. You only need 500 subscribers and 3,000 hours but I think that's only for to get access to super thanks, super stickers, merch shelf, and channel memberships. To get ad revinue is still 1k subs.
I don't have an Insta-perfect life. I go to film something and remember that I needed to finish cleaning the table or counters. Oh no the spoon rest needs cleaning or the windowsill looks dusty.
Well said. After 1 year, you are ahead of me at 1 year. I’m at more than 2 years now, and just a few subscribers more than you. Keep up the good work and keep enjoying sharing your knowledge and experience. Thanks!
It really depends on your niche / content. If you have entertaining content it will blow up in no time. I saw lots of new channels that are 2-3 months old and they channel took off in the sky and they are earning lots of $. 6 months is enough to test if you failed maybe try a different entertaining niche, Good luck.
I just subscribed, so that should help you a bit. I think you will hit 1,000 subscribers and that you're doing good. Just keep going! The at-home cooking / domestic niche is very competitive. I'm in a tricky situation, a similar situation where I recently started to put effort into growing my subscribers and it's hard to understand what is going on. I was able to do this by creating videos that generate a lot of views, but I've only been able to replicate this once so far by copying what worked before. I only have about 200 subscribers right now, but I have a better idea today of what needs to be done. I don't want to spend any money on equipment until I'm monetized. I looked through your videos and there are two things that I think could help: I am having a little trouble hearing you, so if you could boost the audio or get closer to the microphone, that would help people like me with bad speakers and are hard of hearing. Also, if you could add a cheap diffuse light to your setup. Some of the video appears gray, muted, and cloudy/fuzzy but this could be fixed by blasting your sets with white light. Also, consider a costume, accessory, or uniform like an apron to emphasize the niche or what the video is about. If any of that helps, please let me know! And I gave you a like, too. XD
Well have been on UA-cam for. 2 year going to 3yr and not fully monetized sometimes it can be had but i just focus on creating the best video that i can
I’ll subscribe I eat organic and wish I could homestead. I’m almost a year of travel vlogging I’m on the grind too and it’s hard but fun. Same with the money thing for me. Thank you I don’t feel alone.
Beside the usual click bait traits that help videos go viral "hot girl/acting seductivg/viral topic/have the right "connection"/market research /timing of posting" there's a huge like 80% of the go viral formula is where exactly are trust me if your in a rich neighborhood it's not the same as being in the middle of butt f nowhere and once you realize that your Channel is ganna bomb
Keep going, you will reach your goal!! Exellent thumbnail btw👍🏽
Thanks!

No its not. Learn how to create a website and then do blogging instead. You'll have more control over your life. And that's what is important.
