That was awesome! As a couple who LOVES Cantabria, it’s cool to see you enjoying the Picos and everything else about the region. Also, my wife says, you both look so much happier the longer you’re in Spain. 🇪🇸 Hope it’s working out for you. Looking forward to part two.
My grandfather had a trick to avoid being bothered by mosquitoes and flies, he would put his cane up high and his beret on the highest part of the cane and the flies would go to the cap, I don't know if it only works for Spanish flies.🤣🤣. Beautiful images that you have shown.
Hello from Burgos! I just spent the last 9 days walking from SJPP and now I’m gonna flip up to Santander to meet up with my girlfriend, hopefully do the coastal alternate I didn’t do last time because of weather, and then do San Vicente-Leon-Oviedo with her before continuing on to Santiago via the Invierno! How far in advance did you book the albergues? Hopefully the weather will hold up well enough this late in the season, but if it doesn’t is it easy to bail via bus from towns? Did you just use Buen Camino and Gronze? The face bugs were the worst during an alternate I took through the forest bypassing Estella last week. Luckily we’re packing head nets (which double as laundry bags). By the way, I was thinking today when I saw the Camino sign with the guy carrying a bindle that Shawn should totally try that. Why do a lumbarino when you can do a bindlerino? 😝
That’s awesome! Not sure what the weather will be like for you, but definitely check and be careful in the mountains. We used Gronze for accommodation and Buen Camino for the route. But, neither of them are updated for a few sections (especially from Potes to Espinama). Since we walked in Summer, we booked some places 2 months in advance. San Vicente, Espinama, Fuente de, Portilla de la Reina, and Riaño were all necessary to book way in advance. We never used the bus, but there are some sections were it’s not possible to bail unless you backtrack to the road. A face net is a smart idea! Shawn has definitely contemplated doing the bindlerino 🤣
We started our walk in San Vicente de La Barquera. From Madrid, take a train to Oviedo then a bus to San Vicente. If you start in Potes, you can get a bus to Potes from San Vicente. Or, fly into Santander and bus to San Vicente.
The BC apps GPS tracking works without connection to a network or Wi-Fi service. GPS does not require data to operate. I walked the Camino several times without having local network operation and relied only on Wi-Fi service when I reached alberge or pension accommodation. Try it.
Yeah, the Buen Camino app is great. We were using it too. However, on the Vadiniense, it’s been recently remarked and many times the route isn’t on the app tracks.
Me encantan vuestros vídeos! Y vosotros 😊
Muchas gracias!!!
Wow, what production value and photography! I've been on TV with 20 cameras on me and not get the great shots you did. What a job!
Thanks so much! Every Camino we learn a little bit more on how we like to film.
Sois muy simpáticos y unos caminantes muy expertos.
Muchas gracias!!!! ❤
❤ well done guys! What a joy of watching it 😊
Thanks so much!!!!! You two would love this route. ❤️❤️❤️

😂😂😂❤I love this trick!!!
That is brilliant!!!!
Thoroughly enjoy your videos! You guys are just too stinking cute!
Thank you so much!
Very natural and beautiful, PS I didn’t know that Shawn speaks Italian hand language 😜
Lol. Shawn loves to embrace his Italian heritage.
This is just awesome guys! Definitely put this one on my list. BTW have you ever done a video on your technical equipment? Like cam/mic?
Thanks so much! We haven't done a video like that yet, but it's definitely on our list. We've had a few requests for this.

What a gorgeous route. I hadn’t heard of this Camino before. One suggestion, tho’… Y’all need to try enjoying yourselves more, really. 🍷
😜🤪😝🤣 now it’s even more fun! 🤩
Fantásticos los picos de Europa. Si tenéis la oportunidad viajar alguna vez a Ordesa en los Pirineos aragoneses, os encantará
High Landscape Value !!!
YES!!! The highest landscape value!
Where did you start and how did you get there? If we are flying into Madrid, what city can we bus to?

No te olvidas de España. Conoces la " verdadera" España. El Norte de España, el resto es tierra conquistada. 😂
Sí, exactamente.
