This is a gorgeous planner! But, my goodness!, how no-rings planner girls impress me! There is no way I can imagine myself planning without rings. You all are superstars!!
I've learned so much by watching your videos when I first discovered the planner community and all the different planning systems. You really made me think about what planning style worked best for me and what I hoped to get out of my TN ( this was a while back, circa 2014, 2015). I was just getting into this world of planning and time management and your videos helped me a lot. Saw your video today and just wanted to say thanks.

In love with this 😍😍😍 You got me to de-ring my Malden (which was amazingly easy) and I’m now using a B6 Stalogy in it, and loving it, and so fun to be using a whole different system after a thousand years 😂 in rings. Thanks for the inspiration Carrie 💖💝💖

I never, ever thought I’d love a single notebook this much! Sectioning it all out in advance helped my very-linear-thinking brain grapple with the concept of so many blank pages.

Wait..... a B6 fits in a Filofax?! OMG. I think you just became my favourite person!
It does, and it fits beautifully! It’s as if the B6 Stalogy was made for the Personal Malden or vice versa. What really helped the Stalogy covers slide right into the Malden pockets was that I ran a butter knife all along the inner edges of the Malden pockets to loosen up and remove any excess glue. Didn’t have to trim my Stalogy covers at all!
The color of the binder reminds of the ice grey bag in your what’s in my bag video from 4ish years ago

I saw the Malden, and forgot that you de-ringed it, and ...saw a notebook.... I have the old ochre Malden that was given as a gift to me. The rings in it have started to gap... Maybe one day I will make it into a cover for TN... And I have the rings on a plastic board from another filofax that i could take out easily... I'm tempted! And I want to try the B6 size!

I have an A6 stalogy and love the notebook. Yes I agree the set up is the best part. I think that’s why we switch so much. But I can say I’ve been happier in the stalogy. I love the paper and the ability to change it as I need to. Thank you for sharing. Always enjoy watching your videos. I like my order of set up monthly, weekly, then dailies. So each month is all together , if that makes sense. Lol.
What is it about setting it up that’s so much fun?! 😊💕 I love it. It’s funny, I go back and forth between separate Monthly, Weekly, and Daily sections, as I have it now, and setting it up like yours, with each month all together.

I love my Stalogy notebooks. I have an A5 and an A6. I use the A5 for school (I'm a teacher) and the A6 is for personal stuff. Have found the paper to be pretty fountain pen friendly and the price is right. Going to MySummerTouch now. :)

I now have ordered the B6 Stalogy yay!!! What size of insert did you get from SMpaper??? Personal wide, B6 or B6 for rings??? I want to start printing before Amazon gets here. I’m in good company!! 😊💕 I usually use Personal size for inserts that I want to tip in and use both sides of, and I use B6 for ones that I’m going to attach fully to a page.

I’ve read your planner posts/presentations/articles for about five years 🤔 (starting with the Filofax blog and your paper planner magazine) and always enjoy your information. Until today, when I saw a glimpse of your drivers license, I had no idea you were in Illinois! I live in the middle of the state near Bloomington/Peoria. I have a completely non-planner related question: what nail color are you wearing?! Gorgeous!

I see you’ve gotten away from the structured inserts planning and into more of a bullet journal. I just have a question, are you finding it easier making what you need to plan with the blank page journal as opposed to creating your own pages for your TNs or other planners using a word processing or spreadsheet apps for structured sheets? I love the creativity, but I don’t have the patience (or time as a grad student lol) so I use word and excel to customize my inserts. Perhaps you can dedicate a video or an article on this topic and share your thoughts.

Carie, Love your video! I'm in the process of setting up a Moleskine as a planner for a Chic Sparrow Wide TN. Can you tell me the name of the font/script that you used at the top of your monthly calendars for the days of the week, please (ex: March's monthly calendar). Thank you so much!!
Hello! I just drew those letters for the days of the week freehand... I did them in pencil first because I’m horrible at lettering! If I do it in pen first, I’m guaranteed to mess it up!

Did you have to trim the front and back cover to make them slide into the front and back pocket?
I didn’t trim the covers to make them fit. What I *did* do, however, was run a butter knife all along the inner edges of the Malden pockets where I was going to put the Stalogy covers. That removed any excess glue and opened the pockets up a bit without harming the stitching.

Do you still work out of 2 planners? If you do, When you get ready to archive do you transfer everything to one planner? Or do you archive multiple ones? Do you keep all your inserts or scan and archive selective things? By the way, Thank you so much for sharing I LOVE your videos!
Where are your week number page tabs from? Love how you deringed the Malden for the staology.. genius!
Those little week number tabs are something I cobbled together. I used little circular sticky notes (I got mine from PaperPanduh, but I’ve also seen them on Etsy, sometimes on Amazon, and at Kinokuniya bookstore), and I put number stickers on them from a Heidi Swapp sticker set that I found ages ago at Michael’s.

Is the stalogy notebook pages sewn in or glued in?
Are all the pages blank prior to set up or are they structured?
The pages are very nearly blank. There is small print at the top listing the months, days, and dates, and then a timed schedule down the left side of each page, but it’s all so faint as to be unobtrusive. I tend to forget any of it is even there. And then the page is gridded, again faintly.
Thank you for the reply! I did order an A6 size from Amazon! It arrived yesterday. I do have a Personal Malden with rings. Not sure what I will do with that. I may purchase a B6 and de-ring later, for the start of 2020.

Never mind. I’m impatient and on prednisone. 🤦🏻♀️ I used the hammer, needle nose pliers, and screwdriver. Sheer determination. Got the honey in on it to help hold things. I am so happy it’s done!

Carie Harling I am in love. It’s amazing how with personal rings, the paper is so small. This is so much more compact! One question. I removed the backing/metal piece by removing some of the stitching at the bottom. How did you repair that? Did you use a certain type of glue?

how did you draw your monthly pages out as i have a b6 stalogy notebook
I counted out how many grid squares I had to work with both horizontally and vertically and, based on that, decided what size each daily box should be and how many columns I wanted on each page. I marked the edges with pencil first, double-checked a paper calendar for reference, and then marked the lines in with marker and a ruler. My daily boxes ended up being 5 boxes wide and 6 boxes tall.
