Stop-Motion Transformation of Magic Square MS-B52 Munitioner. I love these bonkers transformation designs from Magic Square. I managed to figure this out in less than 24 hours. It jumps the line because it’s awesome and also the most topical of the figures I have in the queue. I forgot to include stowing the bumper going from jeep into the primordial mode, so you see it happen near the end of jeep to leg, but not from jeep to robot (and pointlessly from leg to robot).

If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.

You made the legs look so easy. I got hung up on the legs real bad but I made it through 😂
Sequence is very important with these guys.

@@peolesdru huh. I guess ymmv. I only have two things from MS and the plastic just feels rough. Similar to SS86 Blurr

Man, that's awesome.
Did you know he has two leg modes? One is more toy and the other is more toon accurate. You showed the toy accurate one. Toon accurate mode involves rotating the upper half to show the other side forward with the purple square.
I guess I was just doing the version that looked "right" to me.
Such a complex transformation for a boxie robot..

I'm getting the IDW set, haven't gotten either of these guys yet, but they are on the way. Like the designs of these two so far. Only thing I'm not liking about them that hasn't been on any of their other combiners either is that they don't have a weapons storage in combine mode. The closeted thing that I've seen is Mixmaster's blaster becoming a heel for Devastator. I'm still excited to see how Onslaught will be able to connect to Brawl and Swindle, and see how much of a thigh Bruticus will have, like how Devastator's hands, thighs and head made a drill mode, what if anything the parts of Bruticus will make. Maybe an artillery piece, maybe just have Onslaught haul it around on his trailer, who knows at this point.

If I were to assume based on the g1 toy, perhaps the combined mode bits would work as a base mode of sorts? The leg fillers brawl and swindle will get that come with onslaught are vaguely ramp shaped...
Is this the toon version?
Yes. The "IDW" version would have grey feet.
I have it and I must say it is a very flimsy flimsy piece with extremely odd transformation. Counter intuitive experience for me. Cheaply made and its sad cause the Brawl figure is so good. So this is what I’m gonna do I’m gonna get the next figure try it and if its the same cheap quality I’m sending it back and not gonna finish the set. Sad

@@peolesdru Cool then enjoy your piece. I cannot say you are wrong because that is how you feel and think and I’m good with that. For me I have made a different connection to this piece. Again the Brawl was sooo good though and I can’t say enough about it
