Subnets is the networking area where your resources resides, a subnet having route through internet gw is public and subnet having route through NAT gw is private!
After creating Elastic IP for my Natgateway.I got this (Primary Elastic IP address). This Elastic IP will be my gateway to connect to Internet ? I have to give this IP to my Partner so that he can whitelist this on his end to receive the data. Please correct me here ?
@@techlogic9713 Thanks for the reply, I want some suggestion, is it good practice to keep the ec2 instance private, I saw your video that how to create private and public EC2.
if we want to calclulate the number of ip address in a particular subnet range, we have to keep two things in mind i.e min of bits = 16, max number of bits=32, so to calculate the number of ip address in one particulare range use this formula :- 32- (Subnet mask) 2 ^ (32-(subnetmask))
Hi , I am not able to SSH to my instance which is launched in public subnet, getting connection timeout, why is only private IP is shown in instance details not pubic IP? How can I SSH to those instance? Please reply.
