I was homeless when I graduated college. Luckily my buddy let me sleep on his couch. It took me about five weeks to save enough money to get my own place. It was very scary and I know my buddy didn’t like me living on his couch.
Whatever we are doing to solve this problem, is clearly not working. Why would anyone want to pay property tax, and insurance and a mortgage , or even a campsite fee, if they don’t have to
This angers me so much. I know people working full time jobs that are homeless because they still can't afford rent. And what about the mentally ill? WTF Florida???? THEY'RE PEOPLE!!!
I was hoping this would make things better, because the cities would have to house them in hotels or shelters and if none were available set up homeless camps with running water and bathrooms, but then I just learned many cities cannot afford it, and are hoping non profits will step in and help. But will they?
The problem is that they printed money for decades and the inflation is so high that nothing works. People tried to warn us for decades but it was easier to spend the money and then disappear. No consequences.
Parks are for kids and the parents who pay the taxes and upkeep not for homeless. If 5 homeless people worked they can pay and share the rent. It’s not always the states problem it’s a people problem so don’t blame the state. There’s lots of wooded area move in their with the gators 🐊 or get a job I don’t want to look at your 🏕 tents.
This new law is going to be a mess. We are not solving the problem we are trying to sweep it under the rug. Would the police really enforces this new law? We have options if we need to put people in places like churches. However they will be homeless people that really want help and others who won't. I got a cousin who would rather be homeless. Then have a home and be part of society.
They have try as someone who help at homeless shelter we have ask if they want to go to a rehab center they say no it’s mental health and drug addiction
@@echotapout183 IMO, US GOVT needs to build and staff facilities for all homeless to attend, MANDATORY, where they will get help they need. Thats my big idea!
All homeless are not addicted . Homelessness can happen through divorce, job loss, death of spouse or a family member that shared rent cost , physical illness like cancer ,etc . Help someone. Don't just bitch and moan ..
It won't work. the Supreme court just ruled against the homeless in an Oregon case that will affect this law, that it's law banning homeless from sleeping with blankets, cardboard boxes, or pillows while in city limits. is okay. That will affect this law.
Some homeless people have issues not All and need help and some do need to get jobs, but treating the homeless in a disrespectful manner and not helping them at all is just wrong..
You saw how big and plush his office is…..there is big money to be made in homelessness (just don’t be on the wrong end of it. We’re have meetings, we’re having workshops, we have wrap around services and housing first…..it’s all a crock of 💩
@@Tracy-m3nyou can go to public restroom and take a sink bath. Get a 1$ wash rag, soap, towel, shampoo and conditioner at the dollar tree. Many homeless people have cell phones so should be able to get money for this.
Criminal records, lack of ID, no way to clean up to look presentable for an interview, lack of suitable interview attire, lack of references, deteriorated social skills, poor mental health, physical health problems. Don't know about law,but another 2500 came in yesterday just in the crossing at Tijuana. A couple hundred Arabs and Chinese came through about 1 am.
Here is a plan. Buy land in various areas that allow for homeless to live in tents. Provide some security and provide dumpsters and portable toilets.
The need WILL BE ENDLESS as long as the Border is WIDE OPEN!!!
No more napping while I fish? That Sucks!
Those are the best naps.
You people don't really care cuz if you did you wouldn't let this law come into effect

So why not build a place for the homeless to live
Because, here in the real world, nothing is free
@@trustoldpaths1415 But the boarder crossers 🤔
@Misty-gc6bq one 1 side is to blame for all of it, too. Obama care was the start of it. We'll never have affordable health insurance again.
That is if you actually work a job.
They get paid to talk about the problem. Then they need to get paid to do report about the solution. After that there is no money left.
The homeless commit alots of crime especially around Busch gardens area and the trinity cafe
So do the people that come from trailer parks
This is happening all over America 😢

Use trackable shipping containers as tent platforms
Help someone if you can .
Build more shelters
It isn't going to help you will be still get kicked out during the day
All homeless need to enter a rehab facility. Otherwise, YOU ARE NOT HELPING. YOU ARE JUST GIVING THEM A TENT. DOESNT HELP THEIR PROBLEMS.
