Hi guys, its finally come time for Horse Event. This year I have my very own stand (Matt Harnacke Collections) and I am doing my first show with Emporio and Daniel Bachman Anderson. Enjoy the video!

I really love how you said about Chase, just not being into competition and that some horses are just not meant for it. I wish more people would understand that.
my pony wasn't either, he enjoyed jumping when we did it for fun, but hated doing it in competitions, he's just more of a field and forest pony lol
My knowledge about horses comes from watching equestrian at olympics ... Melanie smith (?) was very good at talking horses. But i happened to catch a 60 minuets (TV in the US) news item that spoke of a horse that was not good at competition, jumping, etc. The horse was trouble and unruly. Some lady bought the horse and discovered he loved long distance running. The horse was a champion at these long distance events.
Same here lol I have a 13yr old TB that looks amazing doing, dressage, hunters, and Eq, but he loves moving out and doing x country and field hacking lol so instead of making a square peg fit a triangle hole I decided showing was not for him. We do fun shows, field hacking, and some dressage. Just purchased a broodmare so well see if anything she has sparks my interests lol
I had an absolutely wonderful, beautiful gelding that I later learned had been abused at a horse show and panicked every time he went to one. He went on to have a lovely career as an endurance horse, something he wanted to do.
Just like humans, there's plenty of people with amazing voices who can't sing live or people with the right genetics for sport- but lacking the necessary mindset and discipline. Horses, dogs,cats -all animals really - they are just as different from eachother as we are as people. Same training, similar genetics and upbringing can still make siblings the polar opposites of eachother so it's not surprising it's the same in other mammals.
Love that they used Matt's horses as models for the collection.

@@Janerane It happens. If a designers horse is really misbehaved, they're not gonna be good on a photoshoot, so they hire horses who have a good tempermant and are good with flashes as others might get spooked.
I love how gentle and calm you are with him, but still being aware that he IS a stallion and knowing that he does need the handling of a stallion. Love your videos.

What the HELL are you talking about? I don’t own a single obese animal, and I demand respect from all of my animals. Because I like that he is understanding to this specific horses personality but still make sure he handled like a stallion should be? But have fun with your idiotic assumptions 🤷🏼♀️
Hmm, I don't think dogs and horses should be handled the same way. They think differently.
I'd say I speak pretty good horse, but not so much dog. I've handled a couple stallions and a few mares in my life. They are different from geldings. I could say, 'bigger personalities', as in, a bit more difficult. Kinda easily offended.
I've noticed a similar behaviour works on ten-year-old children - calm, straight-forward, encouraging, firm. They like to question your authority at times, but if you are fair, adult, explain to them, and always stick to your principles, you can win their trust.
I think it's fair to say a stallion should be handled a bit differently from a gelding. They think differently too.

So i follow you for a few month now and just watched your video "reacting to hate comments" and i noticed: you actually read the comments! so i thought i want to tell you how much you inspired me and how i just think you are right in what you do! therefore i created a google account to be able to comment your videos. this is my first comment ever and just because i want to tell you how very nice you are with your horses and that you are so good in your way to explain everything you do! i worked several years as a groom and i can tell: you are so patient and adorable with your 3horses! that is sadly not given everywhere... and everything you do is so understandable and ... well... human. its finally a very clear and true look inside a riders/stable life!!!! and the way you explain things inspired me a lot in my work with my ridingstudents, so, THANK YOU! thank you for sharing everything just how it is!

He's a beautiful horse. I have NO idea why I started watching your videos. As I'm almost 50 and chances are pretty slim I'll ever own a horse. However, I just want to say you are giving young horse lovers a great view into dressage.
Anyway, this old lady just wanted to tell you nice work.
Sad you think you will never own a horse. I'm 71 and still ride, so never give up on a dream. Just pay and have a few lessons, meet up with horsey people . People like me who would drag you along to a show or comp and learn how to be hands on for free. Strapper are always welcome and wanted. In the end you will end up learning, and having a ride without it costing you a penny or one red cent, depending on where you live.
Jennifer, YOU ARE NOT OLD !!!!! You have a whole life full of adventures just waiting on you to change your mind set, young lady. Go get it girl !! It's waiting .. ..

I have noticed Matt is very good at meeting lots of people. Believe me, lots of guys just cannot do this.
I really appreciate how sensitive you are with your horses💜 It seems some professionals, in the industry, treat their animals as machines; expecting them to turn out perfect right from the start.
I also admire how articulate and knowledgeable you are in conversation with other professionals. I would say that you are a very warm, empathic person and it really shines through 🥰

Matt, I am very proud of your new product launch. Your passion for horses is wonderful to see. I’m just a grandma from Ontario Canada who enjoys watching your videos as they show an honest portrayal of who you are. Nice job my dear.
I love that your and Jesses stallions are so well temperamented and balanced... really shows you work and handle them a lot and they get to live a healthy horse life. Too many stallions, especially breeding stallions are locked away in solitude and go crazy...

I can't even imagine how akward it must be to have people line up to say hi. They all know you but you know nothing about them. I would be the worst and so uncomfortabele for all of this.
yeah but can you blame him, he doesnt know them yet they know alot about him, so it is kinda awkward. he needs to be nice to everyone and hug them and be thankful for their gifts etc, but its kinda weird when you think about it because theyre strangers to him lol. i would def feel soo awkward
He has actually talked before about how nervous he gets when he´s going to meet fans and stuff like that. It´s a weird and awkward situation and you can see how uncomfortable he is, he still does it tho, for his fans, to give people an opportunity to meet him and have a hug, picture and a quick chat. That is caring

It’s good to know that people have put effort into making the products high quality so it’s comfortable for the horse because its sad to see horse products that look nice but is not in the best interest of the horses. I’m so happy that the collection is high quality looks nice but simple and it’s comfortable for my horse❤️👍🏻🐴😂🤩💎

Love the collection! How sweet that the fans give you gifts. Some people are so thoughtful. Emporio has really filled out and is maturing into an exceptional stallion. It is so good to see a stallion taken out and allowed to be a horse. A well socialized stallion is a happy stallion with good manners and easy to handle around other horses.

I own OTTBs, so I'm used to horses being on the muscle. Emporio seemed to have a certain grace with his tension - elegant, actually - that I don't typically see with my breed preference. His neck is goals, too! I'm slowly coming to love the PRE.
You are such a good horseman, Matt! You always think of the horse first and make sure they're comfortable and tune into their minds and make sure they have all their needs met, and you ride them with such Grace and style. Horses are truly your Kindred Spirits!

Working with cutting horses for years in America we hauled. Hauled, hauled all of the young horses to get them use to all kinds of environments. We also rode them outside of an arena to gather cattle and just riding also we roped and wld drag calves and feed bunks. They may have been worth millions each but we still gave them a job and that helped their minds forsure!! Not sure if you have ever tried vicks salve in a studs nose or not we had one that wld scream and get bowed up if just trailering and seeing *loud* colored horses ect another stud we cld lead with a mare horsing wldnt bat an eye and was a total gentleman only reacted at the breeding farm. He is doing so good for first time at a show. CONGRATULATIONS on your line and everything!!
Bobbi Stevens ...The more you do with any horse the better it gets. Stallions are no different, just like men, society whacks them into place. So the bothersome ones get locked up and go mad.
@@louisecassidy5991 Stallions are by far my preference my heart horse was one but was a little shit as well. We worked our studs even more than the geldings or mares usually keep their mind busy just like a teenager less time for trouble

Beautiful horse! Mat, you need a !ot more time in the saddle to reach grand prix !! Enjoy being in this moment so when you reach that level it will be that much sweeter. You seem to want to rush a bit. Good luck! No good horsemanship doing well in equitatation is key!
I am no longer in the horse industry but I feel like even though your tack is called the Matt Harnacke Black collection... that it would benefit from customization like if a person wants a tiny bit of a single color, they could order custom color from you. So the halter, although it is basically completely black, could then have a tiny amount of say turquoise beads or a tiny raised line of turquoise blue on the noseband or cheekbands... either that or a custom name plaque to go on the cheek bands. On the ear protection, the stitching could be custom colored. Either way, the tack is exquisite and the line looks very good. I just think a tiny bit of color would be cool if only ordered custom made for the person who wanted it. (For a fee of course.)
Love watching him ride, such excellent eq. He's so smooth, he's one with the horse.

What a good mind Emporio has! You could tell he was very excited/stimulated by the new show environment, but he handled it very well for such a youngin'.
that meet and greet part was so awkward to watch it was like an exact representation of how horse people act around strangers

Really enjoy seeing how thoughtful and caring you are about your horses. My only concern is that you are riding a four year old and horses aren’t finished their joint growth and formation until they are five or six. Perhaps because you don’t seem to weigh very much it might not be a problem. If you wait at the front end you have a much healthier and long living horse at the back end.
Emporio is great for showing off your new collection.
It's also nice to see so many young people interested in the horsemanship lifestyle.
Matt is a wonderful rider very knowledgeable Matt knows how to handle a young horse.
