The 69 Memphis recording sessions, definitely reignited the the flames for Elvis, he recorded some top notch tracks at These sessions. The musicians said he was so up for it, he concentrated more on the vibe that he forgot lyrics but it never deterrred him. About to perform live again for first time in approach 9 years, he and his vocals had matured, the stuff he chose to record had a much more adult theme to it, he experienced life and put it into the tracks. His vocals had adopted a much more raspy gutsy earthy sound, add in soul, rthym, and blues , a mix of pure gold.
