Yay! I'm so glad you mentioned the Embassy Suites! My group and I are staying there before our cruise to the Bahamas in April. I love the Embassy Suites and I'm a Hilton Honors member. Thank you so much for the video and pics. I'm so excited!
Hello, we have stayed at Days Inn Miami airport North. They offer free shuttle from airport and to cruise terminal. Not the fanciest place but convenient
I’ve got it cooking and am truly thankful for y’all posting. I’m using chicken tenders as they were the least expensive option. I also have rice cooking in the rice cooker. So, I am excited to feed my husband some lunch and me a meal for when I leave for work tonight. Thanks so much. I also am planning on trying the stuffed green pepper soup, probably tomorrow.
Hi Sharon , been trying to watch all your videos pertaining to Miami recently, was wondering if Jamie could use his "pegman" trick to see if he could suggest a convenient store on the way to Hilton Blue Lagoon from the Miami Airport. One that we could have the taxi just stop at for a twelve pack on the way to the hotel, that wouldn't be out of the way. The one video you said there was some places walkable (like within a mile) but you said we would have to go down a long road....but that was a few years ago. Thanks for any help! We of course are going a day early to board a cruise ship, and would like to have some beers at the hotel the night before !
There is a Publix supermarket about a 20 minute walk from the Hilton Blue Lagoon hotel. Search Publix Airport Plaza. It's 4 minute drive. Uber might stop there, but sometimes they don't like to make those 10 minute stops.
Sharon we love the Holiday Inn I've stayed there many times last time was November 2019. It's right in downtown and the marketplace is just across the street. Never had a problem.
Is it a long drive to the carnival cruise port from the Hilton blue lagoon if I was to take a Lyft? I’m worried if I’ll get stuck in traffic the day of .
Reaching Miami at 1.00 am!!!! Cruise embarkation is at 11.00 am. Any advise .....can we sit it out at the airport (domestic arrival)? Is it safe? Or should we get a hotel for just 5/6 hours?
We have stayed at the Holiday inn express Miami Airport. Nice hotel close to some restaurants. Shuttle available. Sharon one thing you need to mention, Hotel airport shuttle is from the Miami airport they will not go to the Fort Lauderdale airport.
Great and really informative vlog! Do you have any tips for a hotel to stay? We are coming in at Ft. Lauderdale Airport and cruising out of Port of Miami. We were trying to find the most economical way to go about it as far as shuttles and ride share fees. Thanks
Thank you Sherry very helpful I will be going to the Caribbean’s leaving out of Miami on the symphony in December so I need that pre-and I will look for another and post downtown Miami what we could do more things thank you again
Great idea for Vlogs. Could you also include at least one hotel at every port, that has Stay and Sail package, while we cruise, for us that drive to the ports. Also, can you include which hotels give free shuttles both ways and/or one way.
Sharon, any suggestions for disembarkation day? We'll have luggage and the flight doesn't leave until later afternoon same day...Last time I remember just sitting in the airport, not enjoyable!
Sharon your missing one of the best hotels for pre cruise stay in miami, the Hilton double tree right on the marina next to port. Has three resturants, a little market, pharmacy, a couple bars, and more. A shuttle to port. And short trolly ride to Bayside Marina. Mid range price, just thought I would mention it.:) We love it.
We stayed there is August and had a horrible experience. First, we picked our room in advance from the app. We wanted to be as high as we could. When we arrived, they gave us a lower room. I told them I had a confirmation for a different room. She left and came back 30 seconds later and said she spoke with the manager and apparently there was a water leak in our room so they had to close the room down. I get to my room and decide to call the room I was booked to be in. A lady answers. Hmmmm, I thought the room was closed. I was pissed. I asked to speak with the manager. I was told the manager was not there. So who was that lady talking to when I checked in just moments earlier. I spoke to the person in charge and she said the manager would contact me first thing in the morning. And if that wasn't bad enough, there was a large hairball in the toilet when we first arrived. I have a picture of it. Also, there was no soap at the sinks. Not a huge deal but I'm already mad about being lied to and having my pre-booked room given away. The next morning I spoke with the manager and she did not apologize. She said there WAS a leak when I checked in and that it got repaired and then they rebooked the room. LIAR. The room was booked when I checked in. They were all protecting each others back but I hate being lied to over and over again. I caught them in a lie and they still didn't admit their mistake or apologize. Seriously? What kind of business does that? And it's a Hilton. They did offer to give me a small 5% discount on my room rate. WHATEVER!!! The balcony view of the bay was beautiful. I will admit that. Too bad customer service and housekeeping is a joke. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
I really like these informational videos. I hope you also do pre-cruise hotels out of Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, Tampa and Galveston. And maybe best beaches to visit for cruise passengers in the Eastern Caribbean, in the Western Caribbean and on the Mexican Riviera!
Aimee Rogers I plan to do most of me the main ports and have all of those on my list. Great idea on the beaches. We have been to many. We love the beach.
I think picking the right beach is so important especially for new cruise passengers. Early on in my cruising life I just took a cab with my family to a public beach in Jamaica and I would never do that again. I was followed and constantly harassed and worried about whether my stuff would be stolen . In hindsight now if I wanted to go to beach in Jamaica I would just buy a day pass at a resort . But sometimes new cruisers think they're saving money when they are really kind of ruining their experience because they're not taking good advice .
This is so true Aimee. There are some ports that are much safer to go off on your own then others. Last time we were in Jamaica we did a day pass as well.
I stayed at the Four Points By Sheraton Fort Lauderdale back in May 2018. Very nice actually everything is close by. It picks u up from the airport for free. Takes u to the port for a fee I think $8.00. Breakfast not included
We're going out of Miami twice next year and will be our first time in January. We booked the Hampton Inn Downtown Brickle. They had a stay and cruise package with hot breakfast. I was trying to decide between the Hampton Inns - Brickle, Blue Lagoon, and Coconut Grove. We were going to do the Holiday Inn at the Port but hubby doesn't like Valet parking.
Well Craig thats too bad you had that experience. But I have stayed there several times and have had friends that have stayed there and never had problems like that. But sometimes be it a hotel, restaurant, cruise, airline, etc, there is always someone that unfortunately has a bad experience. That’s just the way it goes, you get really good reviews and then there are those couple that are not good. We love it and have never had a problem, so to anyone else, try it for yourself, or not:)
I have stayed at the Hampton Inn Brickell. It was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. It was like staying in a 5-star hotel at a 2-star price
What was your experience getting to the port? I am thinking about booking with this hotel this summer. I have heard very little about this hotel when referring to a pre-cruise hotel. It looks like a really nice hotel.
There is a free metro mover right outside of the hotel. We took the metro mover to the last stop before the exit towards the port. From there, we ordered an Uber Taxi to the port for a couple of dollars. (This saved us alot of money for our family of 5). Othwerwise, I believe that they have a shuttle to the port for $18 per person.
Thank you. Your presentation helped me for precursor. Post cruise I want to take virgin rail from downtown Miami. Are there any hotels within walking distance at the train terminal?
The 3 closest hotels to the tri rail are Staybridge Suites and Sheraton Miami airport, both of these are 0.2 miles away and the Holiday Inn Express is 0.4 miles away. Hope this helps.
actually I have not stayed at the hotel plus me and my family have not been on a Crusie Ship before but we are planning a family and friends as a group on a Cruise on the Royal Caribbean on the Symphony of the Seas sometime in 2020 and I want to meet u guys on that ship thanks plus I love your guys videos
Marilynn Soto I'm glad it was helpful. I've stayed at a couple if them and i'm staying at the Hampton brickell on our next cruise out of Miami as well.

We love Embassy as well. Always one of our 1st choices.
FYI, Royal Carribean has a free shuttle from Bayside to the terminals
Which hotel at Bayside?
Stayed at the holiday inn port of miami...was an easy walk to the port.
Hello, we have stayed at Days Inn Miami airport North. They offer free shuttle from airport and to cruise terminal. Not the fanciest place but convenient
Ralph Field Great!!! That's really all you need in a pre-cruise hotel.
Does it have free parking or fee for parking?
I’ve got it cooking and am truly thankful for y’all posting. I’m using chicken tenders as they were the least expensive option. I also have rice cooking in the rice cooker. So, I am excited to feed my husband some lunch and me a meal for when I leave for work tonight. Thanks so much. I also am planning on trying the stuffed green pepper soup, probably tomorrow.
Thank you for your advice. I just booked the Hampton Inn Downtown. It will meet my needs this cruise.
Yeah! I should have seen this sooner. Have a great NIght.
Is traffic in Miami bad if we took a Lyft from Hilton blue lagoon? First time sailing in December on carnival celebration
Yessss trip advisor gives you the REAL DEAL! 😅😆
Thank you for this in depth review!
Thank you, this is just what I was looking for.
Michelle Brown You're welcome😊
Very informative! Thank you!!
At the port: 1- Holiday Inn 2- Intercontinental Miami
Downtown Brickell Area: 1- Courtyard Inn Miami Brickell 2- Hampton Inn Miami Brickell
Near Airport: 1- Courtyard by Marriott Miami Airport 2- Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon
Miami Springs: 1- Embassy Suites 2- Comfort Suites Miami Airport North
This helped us to decide our Miami pre-cruise stay! We are going to try the Holiday Inn - it's a decent price for this area. Thank you Sharon!!

@@SharonatSeaTravel I so appreciate you replying to me ! Thank you!
I wish you would give rates for parking and days we can park.
Hi awesome video, how far in advance do you suggest to book the Holiday Inn?
@SawChick249 As soon as it's available. You can usually book hotels about a year out. Prices tend to go up the closer it gets.
@@SharonatSeaTravel ok awesome thank you so much for the info I appreciate you.
Do you mean IHG and not HIG, I googled it and it is IHG Rewards? Just an FYI to the viewers.
Short drive..maybe 15 minutes tops...as long as it's not rush hour, there should be no problems...
Reaching Miami at 1.00 am!!!! Cruise embarkation is at 11.00 am. Any advise .....can we sit it out at the airport (domestic arrival)? Is it safe? Or should we get a hotel for just 5/6 hours?
Hellloooo. Everybodyy. Helllloooooo. Does anyone know if there is any Dollar Tree,,Walmart,, or Target near any ports in Miami??
We are staying at Hilton Hotel near the port this weekend and cruising Monday.
We have stayed at the Holiday inn express Miami Airport. Nice hotel close to some restaurants. Shuttle available. Sharon one thing you need to mention, Hotel airport shuttle is from the Miami airport they will not go to the Fort Lauderdale airport.
The price is right too, and there’s an IHOP next door and a sports bar a few doors down.

Would like to see some options for hotels for flying into Ft. Lauderdale but Cruising out of Miami maybe some place in between....
That's exactly what we are looking for.
Agreed 🤔😊😊
Orlando please trying to hook up Disney after Miami thank you. So love your channel you’re so easy-going mellow; not to mention informative!

There will be six if us. I would like to find hotel that offers pick up at the airport, then next day offer transfer to port. you know of that?

what about beach hotels
Does anyone knows the price for one room, 3 guess??? At any of the 2 first hotels?
Hi Feya, Prices change all the time..call or look online for current rates.
Is Hyatt place a good one?? I know that they offer free parking while you cruise and shuttle.
Brittany G I've never stayed there although Hyatt always gets great reviews. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Should be a good choice.
Sharon at Sea Thanks!!!
actually I have not stayed at the hotel plus me and my family have not been on a Crusie Ship before but we are planning a family and friends as a group on a Cruise on the Royal Caribbean on the Symphony of the Seas sometime in 2020 and I want to meet u guys on that ship thanks plus I love your guys videos

hopefully in 2020
Great video! Vidéos like these are so very helpful. I am going to book the hampton brickel for our 3 night cruise in march.

Could you do a vlog on Seattle hotels?
Seas The Day Yes I will. Watch for it in the next couple weeks.😊
Thank you!!!
We stayed in Bal Harbor which was WAY cheaper and only 10 dollar cab ride.
Deana Great tip!!!
Generator YMCA Hotel. by port. excellent
Do the hotels near the airport offer shuttle to the cruise port?
Yes, many of them do, but make sure to check before booking if that is something you need, otherwise taxi's are fairly cheap and plentiful.
Whats with the smaking sound you do???? Anyway aside from that great video with lots of info.. thanks 👍👍
Im sorry but 300 a night isnt a mid range hotel, i guess I just need to make more money.
Apparently its the specific day im looking at because all these motels are stupid expensive compared to normal prices.
how about the aloft Brickell hotel in Miami
Andrew Cabatay I have never stayed there, have you? Looks nice.
Long Beach and Galveston
