I think painting the McLaren white is a big mistake, it looks bla, not worthy the car. The Golden color looks sick and is going to be much more desirable in the near future.

You definitely should shoot a video driving it through the mountains after it’s complete.

Yeah, it's good to see Paul getting more involved with the episodes. It would be nice if he could tell us what equipment/guns he uses and explains the mixes/ratios for the different painting stages.

Excellent painter. But, the explanation wasn't much unless you know zero on painting. Still I agree. He's very comfortable on camera and explaining his craft.
Mad respect for Vtuned and his brothers for this amazing job , also your videographer and editor are really killing it .

if you completely restore almost any car, you have wiring, frame, lighting, windshield, paint and on and on it goes
There is just about the same amount of parts and tech.

I'm blown away at how sketchy some craftsmanship is from the McLaren factory. Wavy body panels, paint masking, velcro fasteners etc...
BRX...exactly I have a McLaren dealership near me about 5 miles. When I drive by I look and think how cheaply they are made.. now I dont feel as bad about my Chevrolet.
British carmakers are terrible at finishing quality. Even Astons and Bentleys squeak and creek whilst driven. Don’t even get me started on Range Rovers

It is great to see brothers working together and complimenting each on their craftsmanship. I know sooo manyyy family members that it would kill them to work with or compliment each other. I have been hoping for an update on the Mustang or the McLaren. Thanks for posting this and I will look Sunday for the next update. It is always worth the wait as the workmanship is always outstanding. Remember you can trade this car for a house when you are done. The body work is better than factory and the color is killer.

What an accomplishment. If nothing more than for personal reasons. To rebuild a car from thw ground up and have a cool ride in the end. As the back seat driver here it was interesting to see the ins and outs on a car of that cost. New fans for the booth.. I think I said to check them a while ago.. dont know if they are direct drive or belt driven. 3 phase or single. But hey it will make for better painting. Now keep up with filter changes regularly as that will help those motors.
Glad to see you back on the McLaren, although I was originally hoping you'd stick with the gold the white looks stunning, you made the correct call. It's very nice to see Paul explaining his process and being featured more in the foreground too. Well done on all the production improvements this channel has made lately, you guys deserve a much, much bigger audience.

It's unbelievable that you (and your bro) are rebuilding and repainting this better than it was when it left the factory considering how expensive this vehicle is. I'm still not a fan of the white, but hopefully we can see the light at the end of the tunnel soon here! 👍

Amazing job. Props to your big bro cause painting white isn’t easy. And awesome work on the rebuild. You can’t go wrong with a classic storm trooper paint scheme for an exotic if it’s done right.
I just cleaned my PCV valve with carb cleaner on an old Nissan. It got clogged and was blowing out oil between it and the rubber seal all over the rocker cover and even sent oil up the dip stick. When it clogs up, excess left over combustion gases have no where to escape which builds pressure in the engine that forcibly causes oil leaks. If you find you are losing oil overtime, have burning oil smell, or even leaking rocker cover gaskets, check your PCV valve. On my car they are just plugged in and easy to damage so I just use the hose it’s clipped to to pull it. Others are screwed in. It’s usually a cheap part when you can find it.

Mad respect for you. I just wish you would have painted it any color but white. Anyone in the body industry knows white hides imperfections. I would have loved to seen you push your Talent further.
Man I like the spray pattern on that spry gun, must be a joy to use a gun with that good of a pattern, I wouldn't know all my guns where cheap ones lol...
good expensive or cheap gun all can do same paint. if you have pro you can paint ewery gun cost gun 10$ or 5000 $ all can paint same good paint. mclaren or ferrari can paint. no matter what car paint.

During the pandemic in the past year our homeboi vTuned got a little chubby... but now is back to his fighting weight! I blame it for abandoning the Stang project, now that the Stang is back everything is getting in shape. Even the Mclaren.

Generally if your engine is smokey it's getting oil into cylinder via the compression rings or valve stem seals,also if its turbo the seals may be going out pumping oil into ehaust or into the charge pipes
