The elves deck me of an interesting history but their history is obscured I mean the truth is a did falls is same principles that corrupts the teventer And the funny thing is there quick did judge humans yes humans did cause a lot of problems but even modern day Humans are judged pretty harshly by their ancestors actions but we've seen throughout the 1st game that there was even nobles it stood up for the elves. We know for example the Coulands and Highever The elves were treated just like anyone else that same rights But I am deafening rest to see how story develops now especially after the trasspasser DLC it will be interesting to see how they develop
Short Answer: We don't know. It's possible that they are and aren't. Ancient Tevinter had a nasty habit of taking things that were Elven and flipping them to be made out like they were always Tevinter things. So it's possible that the Old gods=Evanuris. But it's also possible that Old gods =/= Evanuris. Solas says in DAI during the Grey Warden quest(Forget the name but it's a main quest) that *"Nothing"* in the ancient Elven lore connects the Old gods with the Elven people. He could be lying but I tend to believe he was being truthful on this. We also know little tidbits about Old gods lore like the Old god Razikeal being the only OG being described as female with the rest being male. That wouldn't fit with the Evanuris. Overall, I believe in that the two are separate. What exactly the Old gods are has yet to be reveal but hopefully will get more lore about them in DA4 since that game is set to take place in Tevinter. Southern Thedas has a agenda against everything magic, nonChantry, and Tevinter. So what better place to learn more about the OGs than in the nation that the worship of the OGs started in? ☺
It's also very nice to look at it in a way that the are the same. 9 Evanuris, 1 is solas(dread wolf) and one is killed leaving 7 evanuris. The are supposed to be 7 old gods. The only problem with this theory is that the old gods were sleeping in the ground while the evanuris are meant to be beyond the fade.
