I learn a lot from you but it would help a lot for the English translation to come up a little after the phrase in Spanish. So that way I can work it out and not have the answer staring me in the face. That doesn’t challenge anything, it’s like cheating on a test.

You show the English translation way too fast. Allow the person time to give the answer first before revealing the word (s).
