    It's 2024, and I get to work with Mr. Newton, playing bass with him a few times a month. He is as humble and kind as he ever was! Awesome to know him and to find these video snippets on UA-cam!

    Wayne Newton IS The ULTIMATE SURVIVOR. To have endured all the jabs & innuendos and Still have this optimism, that alone is a testament to the man's character. There have been only a handful of PHENOMENAL SHOWMEN....WAYNE NEWTON has defined that term.

    The man has given up his entire life to the entertainment industry and made the brunt of jokes forever, yet he remains the consummate entertainer, a sharp businessman and (believe it or not) a real guys-guy. Obviously it takes toughness to be this resilient - 👍 He’s been in Vegas performing since he was 10 yrs old - that is amazing.

    Patsy did a superb job interviewing ... surpassed only by Wayne's natural and genuine attitude throughout the interview. Wayne is assuredly a role model for anyone wanting to succeed in show business. His parents really impressed me, I must say!

Wayne was rehearsing. I am sitting at a table drinking sprite when he saw me alone ok guys take 5 he gets down off stage walks over and say what a beautiful young lady may I sit.i said yes. He said you alone I said oh no Mr newton my aunt producer of Jerry telethon he smiled and no it's wayne. We talked 15 minutes when he left I got a autograph a rose and kiss on the cheek.loved him ever since.

    Thank you Patsy for posting this interview with Wayne. He is a wonderful person and I have been going to Vegas to see him since 1978. He is everything you said he is and more. He is a genuine, caring human being that has worked so very hard since he was a young boy and he is still doing that to this very day. What a wonderful person he is!!

      He looks the same as when he came out on the big carousel singing his hit song. He was a very handsome young boy and has matured handsomely.
      A wonderful kind and gentle person.
      I've loved him since that time.
      God bless him.

    September 12, 2015: I always write and ask myself, what have "I" Learned. I never followed Wayne Newton as long as he has been an entertainer. I recall him as a young man singing a song or two that was about it! However, I am always interested in a persons personal and professional life. today I heard his and I enjoyed what he had to say. Therefore I learned something I was not aware of. Bruce W. Marchetta PcMA hypnotherapist/educator.

      Wayne was blessed to have parents that with the little money they had helped him by paying $6.00 a week for piano lessons. He was helped by them to achieve his dream of entertaining. Wayne was born with the gift to sing, play instruments and entertain and knew it when he was very young. The universe gives us gifts and it is up to us to perfect them just like Wayne did. At 77 he is still going strong. He loves to entertain and will be forever young in his heart, spirit and soul because he loves what he does, making people happy. THANK YOU WAYNE NEWTON!!!

    The aspects of any person varys,Wayne always seems very well spoken,fair,decent,and honest.There are very impacting shows as his 1989 hilton on 70th anniversary covered by showtime,where his true genius and master of music resonate.In the world ever Wayne is very much at the very top,it comes from hard work i am sure and dedication to something he loves.

    I like Wayne, he's a nice person and puts on a good show but I's so sad he's broke for the 2nd time. Wayne never riped off Elvis or was jelous of him, he really liked the guy so much he wanted to be like him, in some ways. Elvis was flattered the way Wayne was. I would be too . If you go on goggle it will tell you that Wayne made more then Elvis.

    • @adrinathegreat3095
      @adrinathegreat3095 4 роки тому +2

      Elvis would give away cars, motorcycles, horses and homes, he spent money like it was water.
      He also supported many different charitable organisations, when he died he had 5million in the bank in 1977 money.
      Plus Graceland and his other homes, cars etc etc.
      So if wayne was making more money than Elvis, how the hell did he end up broke

    • @thomasandersen2938

      Reason Wayne made more was because elvis left us on Aug 16 1977 that's the reason

      Hi Liane, I like both singers, yet I didn't discover Wayne N til I surfed youtube. I had heard some of his songs in past but couldn't put a face to the name.
      I grew up listening to Elvis. Most people I knew in Germany loved Elvis. Liane AneLi

    ok this interview was done in 1998, he looked great, probably sang great at the time,however when did the voice go and the facelift happen?..This skin tightening technique ruins the their looks. i.e. kenny, burt, wayne..thank goodness Elvis died before this came into vogue.

    I never knew Wayne Newton was a super star. Please don’t anyone get upset but he has only had one top ten hit in his entire career and it’s not the one your thinking. To mention his name in the same breath as Elvis and the Beatles is baffling.

  • @teresaferrer4748
    @teresaferrer4748 2 роки тому

    He can't sweat on his face from the stretching, this man never got over his star struck phase. Obviously he loved Elvis ,unfortunately he never had the talent like him. He caught on early that Vegas was his ticket to everything. I think he has issues that he has never confronted.

    If he spoke to elvis more than 2 or 3 times there'd be lots of pictures of him an Elvis, Elvis loved having his photo taken and was followed and photographed everywhere he went.
    Then you have Newton, Did anyone ever photograph him if they did that increases the chances of a photograph of the pair of them.
    Understand that wealthy pop stars always carried cameras themselves and loved taking photos of each other.
    Yet Presley never once mentioned newton, none of the 100s of books on Elvis mention wayne newton.
    Wayne newton Never mentioned Elvis in any interview on tv, radio or magazine until he had died.
    I smell the stench of bullshit
