- Special Train Venice Simplon-Orient Express - VSOE (with Swiss SBB locomotives Re 4/4 II 11203 & 11157) is passing the railway station of Immensee along the Gotthardbahn in Switzerland. This train has 15 special luxury wagons. This luxurious train has the comfort of modern times, but has inside the style of the Orient Express. On the side of each wagons is written: Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits et des Grands Express Européens.

Schitterende opname van een evenzo schitterende trein. Ooit heb ik hem mogen bewonderen in Interlaken-Ost, bespannen met een BLS-Lok Ae 6/8 nr 205.
Van Rivarossi heb ik 6 wagons van de VSOE. Ondanks diverse en beperkte oplagen (steeds dezelfde bedrijfsnummers) blijven ze zeldzaam.
De laatste productieserie is standaard voorzien van binnenverlichting.

@@TrainJJ It's running several times per week - so it seems, that there has to be a certain demand. On the other side, there used to be 17 VSOE carriages and no Couchette. Probably rather some lack of engineering manpower or spare parts ? ...
However - nice video with a beautiful train ! Can't wait - finding some time - treating finally the feedstock asap for my first VSOE season compilation(Léman, Jura, Ticino, Alsace, Basel/NWS) ...
