I think VOE is one of the few who didn't photoshop her pictures, not then, not now. At least not to the degree some bloggers use photoshop. I can pinpoint you to a few Norwegian bloggers who use it too much (Fotballfrue, Livingdoll). I think VOE looked more "goddess-like" back in the days because she was so young and had that flawless, childlike face. But I can definitely say that Norwegians are on an average more attractive than Americans, having spent a year in the states myself.
