feMARIE614 hahaha thank you! It should sound pretty close. The only major difference between our engines is headers, which you can get so you might sound even better!
I've got a 6th gen V6, and with the NPP dual mode exhaust, I've always loved the sound. But I've been thinking about doing this; going 3 inch all the way back from the downpipes
I was wondering do you think it would be too loud around 2k-2.5k rpm? Basically that’s my starting speeds and I don’t want to sound like I’m ripping through gears going from 0-40 mph at a slow pace lol

Michael Lopez I got this 3 years ago, it cost me around $1200 for the pipe, the catback and paying to put it on (everything came separately so I went to exhaust shop three times)

Is there a Break in period for the x pipe? Just had mine installed, removed h pipe and stock resonators (I have flowmaster 40 mufflers already) and I'm I little disappointed so far, expected more. Thanks
Dave Lombardo If you’re looking for louder, upgrade your pipes to 3inch, and use a different X pipe - the one I have is resonated, so it quiets the sound a lot to assist with the droning.
I love those downshifts so much. How can i get it to sound like that? Right now i have x pipenwith no cats and the stock npp exhaust mufflers quad tip. You still have the cats on? Switch my xpipe to a borla? I think my mufflers are fine but maybe not?
Allen Dueweke it all has to do with the Muffler. If you’re running a stock muffler, it won’t sound like the Borla. I have a mixture of 2.50 and 2.25 inch piping through the exhaust system (due to the converters)

Allen Dueweke you’re welcome! We’re glad to help. So, I will say first of all, if you have a older model v6 with a LLT Motor, I have no idea how this setup will sound compared to mine because I have a LFX, but if you have a LFX then it’s fine. The Resonated X pipe simply helps with droning, but in doing so it does quiets your overall sound. For piping, like we said in the video don’t worry about a 2.25 to a 2.50 , most muffler shops have those converters, and a mechanic / welder will know how to get everything set up! Now, also consider this. I have a friend who has this same exact set up, but with 3 inch piping and I personally find that to sound a lot better then what I currently have. Play with the sound, no matter what route you go, especially if you do at least get a Borla muffler, you’re going to fall in love with the sound!
Its fun. I love mine too, I almost want to keep the engine after the swap just so I can rip around in something lighter like a MX5 with the LFX. Or maybe an old mini-truck like a 89 Ranger or Dakota... Lol with a 380hp LFX... oh the possibilities
MasterGXP someone told me they went with 2.5 inch piping all the way through instead of pipe converters and told me it pops a lot more! Just a thought 🧐 but other then that I think you’re gonna enjoy it!!
brundage123419 I would also buy pipe converters and bring it to them, but yes they should know what to do! I took mine to a basic corporate spot and they took care of it
Hechicero. You have the same year as me, I just have an LT, I’m fairly confident they will fit just fine! If you type in your information via Amazon on what car you have they should confirm if it will fit. You may need pipe converters, but your mechanic should have those available at his shop (they’re very cheap like between $5 - $20)
I'd think ANY muffler would work on just about ANY vehicle. Ive ran Ness car mufflers on my full size truck. Different od sizes in stock piping can easily be worked around. Borla offers a S type and the attack system for the 3.6tt application. They have comparison videos on UA-cam using a Cadillac ATS Vsport...which is a 3.6 tt . Attention is what keeps me from the louder setups. Honestly, IMO , id prefer something like half the loudness of the S type. Borla used to make a gmpp (general motors performance part) touring muffler. Its barely noticeable only at WOT. otherwise just a great glowing muffler without the "Hey cops! I'm over here..! Or disrespectful to folks as I work nightshift and know yall wanna sleep until your alarm clocks go off lol

I think it'll sound better because on your car you have the ability to swap out your headers. It will sound close, but you do have a different engine then mine.
A R every LFX that doesn’t have some sort of tune / throttle body upgrade is gonna have a bit of a drone at the 2.5k RPM , however the resonated x pipe helps with the droning ALOT
I live in California as well and their dumb ass rules make car mods hard however I still don’t want to get in trouble with the law so this is perfect, thanks for a great video only one I’ve found that’s worth a shit, easiest sub I’ve done
Just saying,I got that same sound or better with Flowmaster 40 series with just resonator delete. Down shifting amd everything. No need to get borla atak or an x-pipe. Sure I thought bout it before at first. But you definitely get that sound or better without all that. Trust.

@@13BloodyAprons start with deleting the resonators and keeping the stock mufflers I did that only costed about $200 changes how it sounds a lot

Is your car lowered?
Yes it is. It's on KW V1 Coilovers - I recently lowered it more, it's a 2 1/2" drop in the front and a 3" inch drop in the rear.
