- 🙋♂️ Welcome to the French's favourite village. Walking tour in Medieval Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (France).
This charming medieval town is nestled in the picturesque Lot Valley of southern France. The beautifully preserved village is sure to captivate you with its stunning views, cobblestone streets, and historic buildings. As you wander through the narrow alleyways, you will feel as though you have stepped back in time to the Middle Ages. We will walk up to the imposing 12th-century Romanesque church of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie overlooking the village and offering a glimpse into its rich past.
In June, the town comes alive with vibrant blooms cascading from window boxes and the scent of freshly baked croissants wafting through the air. The warm sun bathes the stone facades in a golden light, creating a magical atmosphere that is perfect for exploring this enchanting destination.

Such a great video about a fairy tale village. 🌹🌻. Coincidentally, this lovely medieval village was and still is one of my dreams destination. ‼Many greetings from a windy Saturday evening in Athens.
I’m glad you liked it. I send you all my best wishes. I hope you some day get to see this fairy tale village 🥰🌸 Greetings from a sunny day in Norway.
@@world_paths thank you so much! Well, in fact, Norway is the most beautiful country in the world.🌻🎯
@@georgialouropoulou8660 it is beautiful indeed. But how about Greece? I’ve never been there. Any personal recommendations? Any fairy tale villages over there? I’ll take notes 😃
@@world_paths 😀My country has another kind of eternal beauty. Our islands around can easily create unforgettable memories for travellers. E.g. Santorini and Milos (Cyclades) or Hydra and Spetses (Saronic Gulf), or Ithaca and Paxoi (Ionian sea), or Symi island (Dodecanese) or Sivota (Thesprotia) or Monemvasia (Peloponnese). Or just a night walk under the Acropolis in Plaka area. Well, there were some of my recommendations....and we never stop dreaming.⛱🏓⚓
@@georgialouropoulou8660 Now… that’s a list of great and gorgeous places to dream of! I imagine the greek islands unbelievable and peaceful places to have a quiet and nice life. The Acropolis another must-se, of course. I’ll keep all these places you’ve mentioned in mind and saved in my TripAdvisor map as options to consider. Many thanks for your tips. I really appreciate the things you’ve shared with us. All my best wishes 🌸😊❤️
I have travelled across France 🇫🇷, From Paris, to Etretet, to Nice, Vile Franche sur mer, Principality of Monaco 🇲🇨, Luxembourg 🇱🇺, lovely french vibe ! Great video man. Come to Canada 🇨🇦- Quebec is beautiful too.

베리굿입니다🎉
Hi! I don’t speak Korean. But thank you very much for your kind words 🇰🇷
If you could choose to visit ANY medieval town in the world today, which one would it be? 🏰
Only looking around the surface of this town? Not really interacting with the local people? Outsider or tourist?😉
Hi Janie! I don’t really know the difference in between outsider and tourist, but I went on holidays there, so I guess I was a tourist ☺️ Also, I don’t know if you have enabled closed captions, I have done some research and explained throughout the video some interesting insights about this magnificent place. Maybe you missed that? I’ve interacted with the local people, but now while filming, it would interrupt the flow of the video. What do you mean when you say “only looking around the surface of this town? Do you have any suggestions? I’d like to know your thoughts 😊
Many France little villages were very similar, the more you review them the more you will realize it is just the way of their local life. French friends complained a lot, always saying the town was too old, and they would rather go to the bigger city or Overseas. That is the reason, it will be nice to interview them or understand the true feelings of the locals. An outsider or tourist will never know the current situation. Well, enjoy the old French culture and their achievements! Fairyland needs a lot of upkeep! Best Wishes for traveling!@@world_paths
Thanks for your feedback. I totally understand your concerns as I am from Spain and have friends living in very old towns and houses too. Unfortunately I don’t interview people in the videos because it isn’t part of the concept. I belief there are channels that talk about such issues, but this one has a different focus and unfortunately it isn’t possible to cover all topics in one short tour. This video it surely only shows just the surface of what you can see of the town and there’s probably much more to it as you mention. All my best wishes ☺️
bello ma la gente dov'è? un luogo bello ma triste
nice but where are the people? a beautiful but sad place
Hello! I visited this place in early June and before high season. Things also closed at around 18-19h, and I filmed when the sun was setting. Maybe next time I should film a little earlier when there’s a little more activity. However, it’s a very small village and not many people live there, but there was quite some activity during the daytime and a very nice atmosphere 😊
Do people live in a village or don't?
Roughly around 190 people. But apparently during the evening’s there’s little activity. It was early june (high season hadn’t started yet) and shops closed at around 5pm, so there weren’t many people on the streets. I’ll upload a second video of the surrounding area of this town in June; there you’ll see more activity, as it was recorded at noon 😊
@@world_paths Okey, I started to watcН France yesterday, liked places, I dont know FrencН.
@@user-vn3jp8bb9p France is truly beautiful. It has many beautiful places to see. Check, for example, Le mont Saint Michelle and try to find a walking video from that place. I’d love to make a walking video there in the future. Thanks for watching 🥰
@@world_paths , well
Not ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful town, isn’t? 🥰
Мне не понравилось,как вы снимаете видео, вы не умеете пользоваться кинокамерой. Зачем закрывать половину экрана титрами? Больше не буду смотреть ваш канал. Вы мне не интересны, как оператор.
Greetings! Sorry, I am not a professional movie camera like many others and my main focus is speed control to make it as relaxing as possible. My channel is quite new and I believe that my videos will improve over time.
I’ve hesitated whether I should use captions or not in the intro, however, it doesn’t cover half the screen. Perhaps it has something to do with your caption adjustments? Are you talking about the intro captions I add in the film or the [CC] captions that the users have to enable?
Of course you don’t have to watch my channel anymore, but life is about giving second opportunities as we learn from the feedbacks. I hope you find pleasure and peace somewhere else if not here.
Anyways, thanks for your feedback and be kind to the next youtube channel creator you judge. The way of saying things are really important. Luckily I am very comprehensible and try not to let the critics affect me negatively, but please be careful because you might hurt the feelings of the next person 😊
