Look at the facial expressions. This psycho does not like scrutiny. As for police numbers: the Tories have also cut almost 20,000 police support staff, so more paperwork for fewer police per capita.

Oh yes, remember that about the support staff. The Tories were waxing lyrical about getting more bobbies on the beat at the time, but failed to mention they wouldn't be on the beat, they would now be doing more paperwork instead.

Her being confident that the barge is safe should strike fear into anyone who cares about actual safety. After all she was confident that Rwanda was safe and it now fighting on all it's borders and the UK have had a large number of asylum claims from residents of Rwanda. So her word and her confidence means absolutely nothing as the courts keep showing.
Nothing said about hundreds of closed police stations (sold to Tory property developers). Many towns no longer have a police station.
My cop shop is a wine bar now so, wishing to hand a letter in for the police, I went to the ex-town hall where the replacement police 'office' was supposed to be open. It was not and there was no letterbox either. The letter never did get posted.
Imagine stooping so low as to try and blame charities for her incompetence. This woman is a disgrace.

How many of those "record numbers" of police officers are well trained and how many of them need to train the thousands who just joined to reach those record numbers? It does not help much to have people who basically have no clue of what they are doing and to say "but we have many of those clueless people, please applaud us for that!"
And how many are those turned down on first application, and contacted and begged to apply again, just so they could hit their targets.
The police have lost all the experienced officers. You can't recruit that.
Where are they as well? Is the met being expanded because the Tories need more thugs to keep the peasants off the streets?

Its not just police numbers. Experienced police have mostly been replaced by 20 year old recruits who last for less than 5 years on average, due to awful pay and working conditions.

Overall crime hasn't fallen over the years. Just thos corrupt govt stopped recording a lot of them, in many break ins police don't even bother to record anything. Too small fish for them. And there is the cyber crime that went through the roof, but Sunak didn't include that when he announced a few weeks ago that they halved crime statistics.... by not recording crime statistics. Starmer should have pushed more on that note, not just laugh and let it go.
