As an Airline Pilot, if you chose to walk anywhere on an airplane (Especially the lavatory!) shoes or slippers are a MUST! So wear those slippers, and throw them out at the end of the flight!
I'm of the belief that you should never take off your shoes. If something happens and the plane has to ditch or otherwise make an unscheduled landing that doesn't include an airport, not having your shoes on may mean you are now walking around barefoot. If you experience severe turbulence, your shoes may also walk away from you, and if that happens you may not be able to find them easily in an emergency situation. That's just my preference and belief as a former private pilot (medically prevented from flying anymore).

Victoria, you are NOT a germaphobe. You are simply being smart. I always use hand sanitizer after I leave a grocery or other store. I always wipe down the bar on a shopping cart and some of them are really grungy. You are just being smart-and prudent. Great to have another update from you both. Safe flight home!!!

This is a real person review. I have seen a lot of flight reviews (bit of an aviation nerd too) but your’s review gives me a true sense of what it is like to fly Turkish airlines.
Feet swell on a plane from inactivity while being in a small space and not moving your legs and feet around. Getting up to walk once or twice to go to the bathroom or just down the aisle and back lets the blood circulation in your legs and feet get back to normal and get rid of the swelling.
@@NautiGuys DVT in flight can really play havoc with your plans. ..I know a guy a photographer flying from the UK to W coast Canada.. young fit but he developed DVT as they came up to NY ...they set down and put him in an ambulance.. he had to escape after a few days .. he hadn't got US travel medical insurance. He was hit with a £10, 000 bill way back. I've also known someone developed it just driving a car for two to three hours on a motorway.

One of my friends used to wipe down his seat and table areas regularly on plane flights. On one of thenm, an attendant coming up the aisle looked over while he was doing this and said "You are officially the smartest person on this plane."
Firstly, I want to thank V for being a team player & drinking the free booze in order to give us a full review. It's that kind of selfless commitment to the Nauti-fans that separates this channel.....lol... Seriously though, alcohol on a plane does affect me badly, too. Dehydration does your immune system no good & does make fatigue /jet lag worse, imo. Sartre once wrote that hell is other people. Never more true than on a plane. The greatest plus of biz class is the relative freedom from recliner/armrest battles, smelly feet invading your space between seats, etc. That this airline controls the window shade during sleepy time is outstanding. The closest I've ever come to murdering someone was a battle over the shade. The woman who kept flipping her hair over the headrest & blocking the screen in front of me & dangling it over my food/drink could easily have been scalped with a dull airplane knife, but I doubt it would have been fatal. I've always wondered if the vinaigrette dressing I flicked into her tresses was good or bad for shine & manageability....don't judge me; she'd been asked nicely by me & and the attendant before I went passive-aggressive tantrum on her. The stereotype/gender-role reversal regarding the airport shopping is hilarious; Rico: "Blah,blah,blah....ooooh a new Boss store...." V's struggles with the cam does seem to indicate that he's worth keeping around in general, though. I think you guys are too savvy for this to be an accident/one-off; very good idea to expand your brand into other areas. I look forward to more reviews/travel tips on non-nautical issues; hotels, AirBnB, etc.

Back in the 1970's I lived in Salalah, Oman, working as an air traffic controller for Pan American Airways. Many times I flew 1st class on a 13.5 hour, B747SP flight from Bahrain direct to NYC. I would have been jealous of your Turkish business class, even as I chewed on the Beef Wellington, drank the French wine, and admired the cabin crew in their short skirts! Slippers are great on a plane. You can take your shoes off and then if you need to leave your seat, you can put your slippers on. We take slippers that we get from hotels with us to use on the plane and then leave them behind after we have used them.

When I flew from HAI to Dubai I had time to watch the complete Band of Brothers which I had not seen for several years made the flight go so much faster.
Best Airline to fly on is Etihad Buisness or First Class... Singapore Airlines and Thai Airlines are Also Fantastic... The Shower on Etihad is Absolutely Brilliant 👏🏽👏🏽. The different Cuisines are non-stop and incredible...
In my opinion Turkish Airlines has the best Business Class, which is their top tier, and lets not even get started on their lounge at IST. Incredible. Hopefully you will do a review on that

Wow, I just came back from Portugal, and we both got sick. I never get sick, I think it was the flu, so bad of a chest cold and the chills ect, anyways, I’m going to do that with wipes from now on too. Business class is sweet.
Used to have a villa near Antalya so totally agree about Istanbul airport.🙂 Strongly suggest that you wear proper flight socks on long flights, they help to prevent DVT.

I know how Rico feels when in a airport, always looking for something new, when i was a inflight mechanic i thought the coolest airport was punta canta, it literally looked like Gilligan's island, all open air in the terminal. But Lady Victoria, you have to tighten the nose ring on Rico girl, keep that man in line because he is like a hunting dog, focused one moment, and poof! You shouldn't need to use any face cream, as reported in this video, if you're totally hydrated. WHO (world health organisation), recommend that everyone should drink 2 to 3 liters of water a day. But who can drink that much water, unless it's wine or beer. 😁 Taking moisture into your body is by far more effective than any cream. But, saying that, I'd SO love to travel business class like you guys. Your boat looks truly amazing so far, can't wait to see it finally build. Keep up the fab videos 👍

Feet expand on a plane so losen your shoes . Compression socks are a good idea to prevent Deep vein thrombosis. Which can affect anyone.

I flew 'Virgin Air' business class to London and it changed my flying habits FOREVER! OMG man was it nice! LOL I refuse to fly anything but business class+ on flights longer then 2 hours!

You shouldn't need to use any face cream, as reported in this video, if you're totally hydrated. WHO (world health organisation), recommend that everyone should drink 2 to 3 liters of water a day. But who can drink that much water, unless it's wine or beer. 😁
Taking moisture into your body is by far more effective than any cream.
But, saying that, I'd SO love to travel business class like you guys.
