Lanie, you are spot on! (Wise beyond your years). I ran into the “in-crowd/outcast” (conform or be outcast) Bovine Scatology when I was in Jr High & High School. I wasn’t a conformist but nor was I an outright rebel, I learned to do my own thing and yes, part of that was learning music when I took up guitar and self-taught myself in 1981 and onwards. While at times doing my own thing had it’s painful moments, it also kept me from being mixed up in stupid/bad things “the crowd” got into. All of it made me a stronger and wiser person. Now many of those folks who once (immaturely) looked down their noses at me often come to me for friendship and advice. ALL is Forgiven as far as I am concerned, we all learned from our youthful exuberance (good, bad, indifferent). You're very right, being kind costs nothing, it sets an example others notice and pay forward.... You’re an incredible talent, keep up the good work! Stay safe and well....
