I said this on twitter last week, but my favorite part of this season might just be the excitement and happiness that Dan Miller has this year. That dude is so good at what he does and he’s had to suffer through so many bad games and seasons. To hear him happy and loving it is the cherry on top of the good play that’s happening!
That's exactly what I was saying back at the Green Bay game. Miller has gotta be having the time of his life calling these games now that the Lions are actually solid. I think he deserves to have a fantastic season watching a great Lions time get wins!
@@KMAN-jd8lq Just pause the radio for a few seconds and then "unpause" it when the TV catches up. That's what I do. I ofen use the ref's announcement of a penalty to match up the radio broadcast with the TV broadcast.
Reynolds is a baller. Flat out. Love seeing the plays more than once. I think it helps you dig into the nuances of the play and I love seeing great plays over and over 😂 also would love to see more long form videos. Maybe some on offensive scheme or how Ben Johnson sets up defenses with previous plays. The flea flicker is an extension of 2 successful end arounds in my opinion.

I gotta start turning down the volume on the TV and turn it on this guy instead. We used to do that in the old days watching football. Radio announcers are always more descriptive then the TV announcers. Plus, they’re just a lot more emotional
I always wondered how Miller knew almost immediately that it was "a 53 yard punt with an 11 yard return" ? Like, man, I watch tons of football and I cant do the math like that. Never realized he had a human adding machine sitting next to him, Lol.

How does Dan not know the players he watches everyday at practice, and every single game? Why does he have to look at who the guy is pointing on his number sheet to see that it was Aiden with the interception? Or Josh Reynolds with the amazing to tapper in the back of the endzone?
My guess is it's hard to tell who's who from up where they are. It's probably more efficient to have Dan give an overview on what's happening and then turn to the paper to see who made the play than to call and try to figure out who made the play at the same time
