This was the best match to watch so far..the 3rd set was epic..And the 2 break points saved by Zidansek at the end of the set were out of this world..She s so calm ,i love her attitude...Good tournament from Badosa she has some fire power,hope to see more from her..
Problem they least experience they didn't know how who was goin to win.Thought Paula had it all for her the game she has not quite there yet moments can do that.But Tamara quite crafty somehow won

I love it when some underrated players reach new heights. Everybody would have picked Badosa to win this, but Zidanasek prevailed. That is great. This girl is feisty too.

Always great to see a smaller player like Zidansek playing well. Badosa has a beautiful game too so I think she will be top 10 in a year.

She is STILL one inch taller than Belgian player won how man grand slams with 5 feet five again she was ONLY five feet five n Tamara is five feet six with medium frame U can see generate powerful shot (!) n ONE inch makes difference n clay court n grass court like Wimbledon still she can move fast n fast serve is not possible, very few n suck up so much energy to fast serve how many?, So, Tamara has chance to win grand slam in BOTH French Open, better chance than Wimbledon, but possible n forget about dam hard court. Just make money by being quarter final of course wish her to get win but serve speed count so much in hard court should slow down at least like Auzy Open, US Open is too fast thanks to ATP or WTA boards of directors ahols n beaches. @@manofdark6762 someone cant root for another player? It’s been 1 tournament and Zidansek has made the semis. She doesn’t have any main titles under her belt. This can be a fluke for all we know. Serena just beat her in AO last year
@@amandacerny8145 maybe a fluke but maybe a big breakthrough. Nobody knows. Serena beat her, so what. Tamara is young and will have a great career in future. And Slovenia is proud of her. For such a small country this means a lot. So a fluke or not, she plays great and deserves to be in semi final.

At 1 point in the match Tamara"s forehand was averaging 10 mph quicker than Paulas. Paula just couldn't work her way away from that forehand. Great run both.

Wow. What a wonderful match and fantastic display of the young talent in the ladies games. Relatively speaking, both of these players have pretty much come out of nowhere, and here they are squaring off in RG quarterfinal. I was rooting for Badosa because she seemed to have asserted herself more in tourneys this year. But Zidansek is a charming newish-comer who stays focused and plays smart. Bravo! Tamara v. Anastasia in this side of the draw. Awesome!

Their groundstrokes and moving are amazingly beautiful, especially from Zidansek. They are better than some men's ones in the tournaments. Its a pleasure to the eyes.
Good match ladies wanted Badosa to win but well done by Zidansek, I think she brought more variety today and was doing the drop shots better, it’s a shame they couldn’t have met later in tournament.

Awesome to see Zidansek beat the ever frustrating face of Badosa.
Unfortunately the past 6 sets (Bogdan and Vondrousova) turned Badosa slow and tired this match, she looked injured, not even try the balls, without emotion when pointed. Zidanzek always mentally controlled even when lost first three games deserved this semifinal. Badosa clearly needs a break

Did anyone notice the pixel delays from the ball? Look at 0:23. After the ball lands there is a green spot for a second there.

@@baharayana Only in FO, AO has 10 point tiebreak at 6-6, Wimby has 7 point tiebreak at 12-12, and I think US Open just has 7 point tiebreak at 6-6

Where are all her other matches? It is shame not only happened to last year’s qualifier Podoroska reaching semifinals but the eventual champion Swiatek whose first match uploaded was her 4R and only because she faced the #1 and former champ. Give recognition to all players.

Zidansek edged this with incredible grit and determination, but Paula wasn’t far behind. Unfortunately both of them served horrendously, particularly Badosa Gibert. She will NEVER win a grandslam until she finds a way to improve her serve tactically. Also it puts way more pressure on a player trying to defend a weak serve like that. All that extra effort really cost her in the end.
Both of these girls played very well. Now it would appear that Adnreescu got a bum draw afterall as Zidansek looks to be the real deal.
Can someone explain why there was no tiebreak and it went to 8-6? I’m not familiar with the French open rules.
Currently every grand slam has a different rule for final set tiebreak.
French open doesn't have a tiebreak in the final set at the moment.

Badosa tired out, she hit some short balls in dah 3rd set, & paid the price. Can’t believe at this day & age quite a few ladies are on fumes by the 3rd set. Well, it’s only 3 sets so they think, train, & play for 3 sets. It’s time for a 5-set tournament but the world continues to resist🤷🏻♀️.
