Half year ago my dad had psa 450, he is 70s old, found prostate cancer 4a step. we went many doctors, took many medications and treatment, now PSA is 40, Alhamdulillah, its still very high, but don't lose hope everyone who reads this , everything is possible by God's will, make dua and never lose hope , keep trying. My dad took 4 Lu-177, 1 Chemotherapy, 4 hormone therapy.
My psa levels have been 12.4 for the last 12 months. Ive had 2 mri scans and my Urologist reassured me that no prostrate cancer is showing only inflammation and a slightly enlarged prostrate, both would raise a high psa score. But im still a little nervous.
Thank you for this comment. I understand your anxiety. I hope it’s nothing but inflammation and that your levels go down. I’m freaking out. My husband had his labs done and his PSA is 9.6 and we’re not even 40 years old yet. I’m terrified that he has cancer, since his dad has it. I just lost my dad to lung cancer after a short 2 month battle back in May.
@@lbrooks9226 Hi, what you need to ask for is a MRI Scan of the prostrate b4 a biopsy. My MRI scan shows inflammation and a enlarged prostrate. My Urologist said I have prostatitis which is an infection of the prostrate. I asked for a biopsy but he was against the idea as the biopsy needle has nothing to target as no cancer is showing in Scan. Im currently living on Malta and every Urologist have their own ways of dealing with this problem. My Urologist in the UK told me once the psa level reaches 8 its definitely a biopsy. Like you My Dad and Grandad both passed away with prostrate cancer. Im 65yrs of age. I had another psa blood test 2 days ago 2 months after my last test which was 12.4. So im praying its come down, if not I'm flying back to the UK to sort it. Even thought about paying privately to have the prostrate removed to end the anxiety. In your case what ever part of the world your living I'd get another 2nd opinion from a different Urologist.
Have you had a biopsy yet? That PSA score is concerning. Get a 2nd opinion from a different urologist. Doctors sometimes make mistakes. Don't be lulled into complacency.
@@Actaeon2nd Hi I recently taken another psa blood test and it's lowered to 9.3 and had another MRI scan 3wks ago showing no nasties no tumors. My Urologist told me to repeat my psa blood test in 2 months time hopefully it's lowered again. When you have enlarged Prostrate and inflammation of the prostrate psa levels will rise. Fingers crossed 🤞🏿 in my case..
@@lbrooks9226 A zinc deficiency in men over 50 is typically highly correlated with an enlarged prostate. Anyways, research has shown that taking 25 mg of zinc daily for 3 months straight can decrease an enlarged prostate back to normal. Zinc is cheap and easy to get at any supermarket. As well, 2 to 3 large pieces of raw minced garlic will also quickly shrink and enlarged prostate (within 8 to 12 hours). My PSA is around 11.2 and still I feel perfectly fine. I just take zinc 50 mg of zinc daily along with one medium sized piece of minced garlic and have been doing fine ever since! All that is currently known is that a healthy prostate contains about 744 mcg of zinc, whereas those with an enlarged prostate have around 486 mcg, and those with prostate cancer have roughly 273 mcg of zinc in their prostate. See link below > ua-cam.com/video/72j8NXuJ1oY/v-deo.html Too much is still not known about PSAs and what PSAs do exactly in the body b/c people who have high PSAs over 20 are just as likely to have prostate cancer as those with PSA levels under 4. PSA tests and what PSAs do in the body are still highly speculative at best. The only advice I would strongly suggest for the time being is to try to eat healthier and exercise daily if possible. I cannot be 100% certain if there is a correction between high PSA levels and low zinc levels in the prostate but there does seem to be a positive correlation between those with low zinc levels an enlarged prostate / prostate cancer..... However, consuming raw minced garlic does work very very well for shrinking and enlarged prostate. Just for what it worth, I take 50 mg of zinc citrate daily and eat one clove of raw minced garlic in the morning and one clove of raw minced garlic in the evening just before going to bed......
Urologists are always going to suggest prostatectomy -- surgical removal. That is their bread and butter, how they make money. That is the most invasive option even if done laparascopically. There are other, better treatment options. Don't rush into RP surgery.
I went from 0.4 to 11.5. In a couple months. Just got my biopsy back. Cancer G9, bone scan next week. Hopefully it stayed in prostate. Be proactive in your situation.
Have you had the DRE exam? Don't mess around. See a urologist if you haven't already. You might need a biopsy. It isn't the end of the world if it is prostate cancer. With any cancer it is better to find it early and start treatment. I was diagnosed in 2016. Almost 8 years later, and after a surgical treatment (not removal) I am doing fine.
i have 59 instead of 4 to say afte radical surgery surgery done before 8 years.why doctors say that surgery is a permanant relief and will not raise again for encouraging operation i do not know.

Nothing. That number 4 nanograms is an arbitrary number put up by a doctor (Catalano maybe) it means nothing. Other than it brings in lots of money to the medical field after one gets a positive reading and the treatments are prescribed $$$$$. Are they beneficial? It's a roll of the dice no difference what I have read.
Your urinary symptoms suggest BPH - benign prostatic hyperplasia -- enlarged prostate. If that is the case TURP surgery is a good remedy, not to be feared. You are pretty young to be encountering that situation. I was 55 when I got TURP surgery.
My dad has a PSA total of 16.57* After 12 days tested and come down to psa (total) 10.700 ng/ml and psa (free) 1.900 ng/ml Free PSA : 18% MRI reveals PIRADS-2 nodules in the transitional zone bilaterally as described. My dad is 73 years old. Does he need a biopsy?
Quackery. Another Urologist says that sticking needles into the prostate are as likely to hit a cancer cell as any person sticking a needle into a watermelon and hitting a pit. Another Urologist clams the man who devised the PSA test for prostate cancer is now lecturing against PSA as a cancer indicator of the prostate. Yet another Urologist claims a number of non-related factors can and do raise the PSA levels in the blood so that an elevated PSA test of the blood is a throw of the Quackery dice as a cancer indicator of the prostate. Quack, Quack. these ducks just want the big money for cutting into a man... who screens Urologists for Quackery and prosecutes them for unnecessary and very faulty procedures at the expense of old men??? Quack, Quack.
And why is no one weighing in on the Prostate Screening EpiSwitch (PSE) Blood test? Because it would decimate MRI, biopsy, and surgery revenues? "94% accuracy in detecting prostate cancer"

No
it was 29 last three months back but all of a sudden raised to 59 gives worry to soul

PSA 352… what is the guidance
Get a biopsy. That is far above normal level.
