Good afternoon BubbleBeet....I have to say I like your solution better than my neighbors. He has built hoop shade cloths over all his rows. I don't want to have to plant the same crop in the exact same location every year so your solution is do able. 👍 hugs to that black beauty of yours🥳
Thanks for posting this. Good ol’ BT !!! I’m phobic about caterpillars- I got a millipede thrown on me as a kid and wormy things scare me. Yet I’m gonna try to cultivate a red wiggler worm farm to get some better soil. Please keep us posted about the decoy butterflies. Hugs to the cat. I saw a young deer on my road the other day; they eat all kinds of stuff out my yard. Semi rural life is great!
Your cabbage moth decoys look pretty in the garden....it just took some time to scare the real ones away. Nice surprise to see the deer appear. Squeak is ready for her thin summer coat.
I’m dealing with Japanese beetles on my berries. I try to go out morning & evening to deal with them. I’m actually growing those Marconi peppers this year because yours always look amazing!
It never hurts to have more than one approach to a problem. The decoys might not completely work by themselves, but in addition to the BT, it helps keep some moths away so that less of them even want to go near your plants to begin with.
Hello BubbleBeet, have you made a video for pruning tomato plants? Today I read on a site, Pruning suckers is less critical in her opinion, than pruning the bottom area. She prunes almost 18 inches up from the ground all the leaves. I have never heard of doing this. Just thought if you can show one of your healthy plants before and after prunning, it would help those who do not prune and give those who do prune a reminder to not forget! Thanks, & hugs to Squeak😘
I have something eating my grapevine, haven't the slightest idea as to what it may be since I'm new to gardening, I did put Neem oil on it last evening, praying it works. Thanks for this video.
hi, every year my grapevines leaves will get eaten by Japanese Beetles. they leave the grapes alone but chomp away on the leaves. I try to shake the plants every day and the beetles will go flying.
bubblebeet please there not moths there butterflys called cabbage whites lol iv been watching your vids for years and there great vids but it always vexes me when you call them moths lol keep the vids coming mate your veg looks amazing
Thank you. I’m in NC, same gardening zone as well and I’ve been having the same problem. I’ll use what you’ve showed. On another note, I’m early, but can you send the link where you list the dates for fall planting? Thank you
Do you not get the white flies that accrue under the leaves? They don’t eat the leaves, just very annoying. There are so many on my kale plants that it makes it a pain in the butt washing them off.
I saw someone inject a squash plant with a liquid using syringe. Not sure what the used or who they were but I'm curious as to what it would do to us when eating the squash. Any ideas.
hi, i spray with the caterpillars still on the plants. before i discover edthe BT spray i used to hand inspect and pick off the worms. it was a big pain and hurt my back. plus the moth eggs r so tiny when the caterpillars hatch they can be less then a millimeter and they start chomping away.
hi, neem oil is a good insecticide too. but really id prefer not spraying too much, the neem oil can clog the leaves pores and probably hinders growth to an extent.

Please do a short video introducing yourself. What do you do for a living? Are you Vegan or just a big veggie lover? Maybe some recipes??

The decoy idea is brilliant as well as funny 🤣🤣🤣.
I love your moth decoys great idea!! But BT works too lol!! I had broccoli leaves and Napa cabbage that they tore up! Loved your video

Thanks for the good tips 🐛

Xin chào bạn lời chào từ Vietnam,hôm nay vườn rau của bạn rất tuyệt, có những con sâu đã ăn lá rau bạn trồng
I wonder if you could do an experiment. Put both cabbage moth decoys in one bed, but not in the other. Then see if there's a noticeable difference.
I have something eating my grapevine, haven't the slightest idea as to what it may be since I'm new to gardening, I did put Neem oil on it last evening, praying it works. Thanks for this video.

Love the deer at the end
Great video! Can't wait to see you harvest loads of tomatoes and peppers again 😋🤩!
tomatoes are soon, theres a bunch of green ones growing, im anxious for them to ripen red, tomato soup!
That’s what I reach for BT I use a different Brand but it does the Job!
hehhe so cool😆😁 fake butterfly
well, insects are really destroyer😯but you really did a good idea👍👍👍..God bless you bubble beet😙💕
The BT works great, been using it for a few yrs now.
my brassicas all were eaten as seedlings! only one survived. do snails eat them?
You have such a leafy 🥬, beautiful. , healthy veggie garden 🪴! 😍👍🇺🇸🥬🥗🥬🥗
BubbleBeet, your collars greens look great what do you use to keep them disease free? Thank You
Excellent.. 😊💕 thank you!!!
Yeah one day I might grow Brassicas that won't get attacked by these buggers!! LOL!!
I live in Miami, Florida, and I would like to know how often I should water my collard greens . It's been a couple of weeks.
Perfect
thanks :)
Mesh insect netting = No damage. Easy. No need for spraying the food you eat.
bubblebeet please there not moths there butterflys called cabbage whites lol iv been watching your vids for years and there great vids but it always vexes me when you call them moths lol keep the vids coming mate your veg looks amazing
Thank you.
👋. Great video.
Hi, thanks :)
have you considered a cloth bug barrier? You can get netting type cloth and simply cover the plants...bugs cant eat what they cant get too.
I had to resort to insect fabric. It works great though.
Wouldn’t be as bad if they just ate one leaf at a time 😩
Thanks 😊
Thank you. I’m in NC, same gardening zone as well and I’ve been having the same problem. I’ll use what you’ve showed.
On another note, I’m early, but can you send the link where you list the dates for fall planting?
Thank you
hi, for fall garden i start lettuce seeds September 5th. thx
Remember ! YOUR EATING WHAT YOUR POSIONING
fake butterfly, my lemon tree need that, thank you very much
Do you not get the white flies that accrue under the leaves? They don’t eat the leaves, just very annoying. There are so many on my kale plants that it makes it a pain in the butt washing them off.
hi, yes i get the white flies too. ive seen a few flying around the kale in the past days. i use Neem Oil spray to keep them under control. thx
What month did you plant your collards?
I saw someone inject a squash plant with a liquid using syringe. Not sure what the used or who they were but I'm curious as to what it would do to us when eating the squash. Any ideas.
That would be BT as well
HI, I an not seem to find the Garden safe BT worm and caterpillar killer. I did a general search as well as amazon
hi, i got the last bottle from home depot
Same things eats on tomatoes and well as greens
😩the deer at the end😩you get rid of one problem now here comes another!
Hello just curious do you remove all worms then spray or can you spray the worms too😄!?
hi, i spray with the caterpillars still on the plants. before i discover edthe BT spray i used to hand inspect and pick off the worms. it was a big pain and hurt my back. plus the moth eggs r so tiny when the caterpillars hatch they can be less then a millimeter and they start chomping away.
Is neem oil good on plants too???
hi, neem oil is a good insecticide too. but really id prefer not spraying too much, the neem oil can clog the leaves pores and probably hinders growth to an extent.
Just a note...Avoid using neem oil during the middle of the day, as the combination of neem oil and direct sunlight can burn the plants.
What about the beetles
What is making holes in my colards
Where did you get the white plastic from to make the moth decoys?
hi, the plastic was cut from a 5 lb protein powder jug. but any scrap plastic should work.
Do you have any recommendations for aphids? I currently have a major aphid infestation on my plants.
hi, for aphids i'll use a Neem Oil spray. neem oil is natural and the spray basically gums up the insects, its good stuff.
👍👍👍🐱
Why don’t you plant your greens in containers under your screened frame? That way the moths can’t land on your plants to lay eggs.
hi, id have to build a pretty big screenframe to cover all the kale. The moths arent a huge enough nuisance
What do you use to control aphids?
hi, for aphids i use a Neem Oil spray.
@@BubbleBeet the same that you use for Kale and collard greens?
We have lantern flies. 😡
Just discovered this today.
They are eating my broccoli, my pole beans, and my weed plants…. Grrrrrr
hi, we have bugs called fireflies here in North Carolina, their torso flashes a light every few seconds at night as they fly around.
@@BubbleBeet No…. these are NOT fireflies!!!
Lantern Flys are another gift from chi Na. They are an extremely invasive bug. They are extremely bad in Pennsylvania.
These Lantern Flies wipe out Farmers entire crops 😡
That kills more than you can imagine BT is not a Organic product
BT is a natural organic bacteria.
The worst part about gardening...🐛🦗🦟🦠 Bad insects.....😒
