MX-5 cup is great racing. I would love to see them at Martinsville. Aren't they part of IMSA though? I watch the MX-5 cup on the IMSA UA-cam channel. They race the same races as the IMSA class series. That's always going to be all road courses. Now I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why MX-5 would test there.
20:57 Was the start of when the concept of Tandem Drafting was going to come into existence. to defend the outside you need to squeeze the car on the inside to the bottom. leave them exactly a car width and it’s makes it super hard to get on throttle because your limiting them
Have the secret to great oval racing is the assumption of everyone in the race is experienced enough driving ovals that close racing is assured, but not guaranteed to stop a crash since bumps, flats and aero can sneak in. You all did pretty good considering how little you all race ovals together. Swapping paint and riding bumper to bumper is a prerequisite in NASCAR
Just don't have a race that requires a pit stop at Indy or Homestead, unless you want absolute carnage when exiting because they didn't do the pit out lanes correctly.
Weird how the chase cam zooms out when you close in on 200mph.... and then zooms back in snappy when you hit the brakes. Kind of distracting. Wonder if there is a setting to turn that off.
Yeah, I don't think that was in any other Forza game, and it looks *really* bad lol. That kind of effect can work well if the camera zooms out slightly as you go faster, but the effect is usually designed to be not all that noticable in games like Need For Speed and Burnout.
You would be a much better driver if you change your POV. You would feel the car moving instead of reacting to what the car is doing. You're a good driver. Really enjoy watching your racing.
Not sure if you could do it, and make it work, but They use to do a Iroc series in the mid to late 80's to early 90's with the Gen 3 Camaro. Just another idea.
I got to drive one of Kyle Busch's old M&Ms cars around California Speedway before they started tearing it down. Most fun I've ever had with my clothes on.
To say "the physics engine is all different" is a pretty big stretch of the truth. As someone who has been messing around in the back end of the game, the physics changes have been as lazy as the car models, sound engine, car mods etc. More time was spent on this game making the trackside look pretty more than anything else.
If they just let off the gas instead of tapping the brakes the lap times would improve but I have.t played the new forza motorsport yet so idk, I'll have to text the game with my tatics to see if I could be a massive threat or not
How do you join a multi player game on the oval track. I want to race my stock car. I have a tide paint scheme I painted and a target store paint scheme
Kudos to that Tide paint scheme and the loud/exciting Donuts paint scheme Brazen was rocking.
Forza needs more ovals. Daytona, Bristol, Darlington, Michigan and Pocono.
Bristol AND Bristol Dirt
we had daytona in FM6 and 7...... and then it got removed in FM2023.
Oval racing is boring and only popular in America..
Poconos an oval?

MX-5 cup tested at Martinsville this past August. I hope they do add it to their schedule in the upcoming years.

I'm impressed Alex, your oval driving has significantly improved since your first videos on Nascar years and years ago.
Gliscor in the Tide Ride...AND it's #17....ol' Jaws needs to see this.

I love oval racing :)
Someone's been drinking his Ovaltine
That was so entertaining!!! We need oval cars (NASCAR) in the game asap
The issue maybe licensing because nascar had a exclusive deal with Motorsport games which Indy car did as well so it may be a issue with that.
@@colegrigsby9401 it was never an issue in the past
Now there will be!
@@colegrigsby9401nope. The gen 7 cars are being added to game now!
As an American, watching a bunch of mx5s or Miatas go around a oval speedway is pretty funny.
Grumples MVP for their car livery in the second race 😅
that was thrilling!! I was on the edge of my seat throughout!! Also, NASCAR is returning to the Indy Oval next summer! Can't wait
I know the second race was a lot faster, but the MX5 race was brilliant!!
I’d love to see some oval iracing content from you Alex!
Just don't have a race that requires a pit stop at Indy or Homestead, unless you want absolute carnage when exiting because they didn't do the pit out lanes correctly.
I've noticed the pit road across roads blocked on both these tracks. Does the game really dump you off just off turn 1 at Indy? That's a yikes.
The amount of avoidable contact warnings shows just how much forza doesn't like bump drafting.
Clearly Forza doesn't understand that rubbing is racing
Oh that Tide paint scheme is beautiful! Love those classic nascar liveries
You have to have a way of air pressure change from left to right in real oval racing that is a big thing stagger from right to left.
That'd be a cool feature to be added for a future Forza game.
21:45 a real "Through goes Hamilton" moment.
I love oval racing on Forza Motorsport. Next time I get a Saturday off I'm doing 500 laps somewhere
Probably don't want to do 500 laps at Indy (1250 miles, 2.5 miles per lap) or Homestead (750 miles, 1.5 miles per lap). That'll be a very long race.
Even at a 100 laps, i kinda got bored or tired when I did Indy 500. Lol

MX-5 Cup Cars on a oval track? Definitely meets the "the sillier the vehicle the better the racing" rule of FailRace
Not necessarily that silly, they tested mx-5 cup at Martinsville
phenomenal racing, had me on the edge of my seat the whole time ^.^

You're one of the few foreigners I trust with judging the quality of American oval racing in games.
Roadsters in Project Csrs 2 round indy are bloody good fun still and the ai is wacky 10% of the time. The other 90 really good.
Enjoyed this one even if I didn't have any luck
Big fan of the rolling start.
Loved your narration! Great racing too😁
I loved watching these two races 🏁
Love seeing all the custom liveries, especially Oli's, Brazen's and Shadow's. 👍
(though I'm confused why Joe's name is on Brazen's bumper 😂)

It continued into the early 2000s but with the firebird
MORE!!! Enjoyed this.
I really hope the Mazda Mx-5 Cup races at Martinsville in the future after the testing they did there
Now nascar gen 7 cars are coming to forza Motorsport!
Yes! nothing better than 8 hours of turning left! ;)
Did you not see how many lead changes there was
I got to drive one of Kyle Busch's old M&Ms cars around California Speedway before they started tearing it down. Most fun I've ever had with my clothes on.
They should also add goodwood even though it’s not an oval
Turn 10 did something really funny today
Your videos are always entertaining, makes me wish I had a group of people to do some themed races like this lol
That was fantastically Entertaining
