Did KandyLand really RIP OFF FNAF? Well its complicated.

- hello everyone I am very excited about the Kandy Land game but I think it's getting a little too much hate for it being a rip-off of Five Nights at Freddy's.
This video is not a highly researched subject and just "my opinion" on the subject so take everything as an opinion and not fact. Please let me know what you think of this and if you agree or disagree and if you disagree let me know why, I am very opened minded and would love to learn more about this issue!

Woah, I'm blew away on how underrated you are, being someone who has this much common sence and actually does background checks in the relevant topic instead of spreading rumors, combined with the ultra based opinions, I feel like you should be scraping the 100,000s in terms of subs. Scott doesn't own the formula that he used to make his games, he just owns the characters. I'm pretty sure he even acknowledged it (I could be wrong). While the designs in Kandyland are really cool, Suzy Snacktime looks like a more kid friendly version of Circus Baby, not to mention the creators made a brand new UA-cam channel centered around that character (and the episode with Suzy Snacktime is their most popular video).
Despite Kandyland's rough beginning (not to mention the NFT crap that's still going on), I'm willing to give the game a chance to see if its any good.
Is KandyLand a ripoff of FNAF? Not really
Is it similar to FNAF? Yes
Does it at least deserve a chance? Sure
Do I have high expectations? No
Overall, I am interested in seeing this upcoming game in action; however, I won't be too excited, because I wouldn't be surprised if this game turns out to be bad.
i really cant see why this is getting so much hate? if you consider Kandy land a rip off then what about FNAC, the joy of creation or even fnaf plus? This game looks like the DEFINITIVE VERSION of security breach! The animation is so smooth. and im going to say it they animated the faceplates better than the canon funtimes! I can get why its might come of as a rip of...but its taking inspiration from Fnaf characters and is constructing a fnaf inspired story.
NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are unique cryptographic tokens that exist on a blockchain and cannot be replicated. NFTs can represent digital or real-world items like artwork and real estate. But in this case its not ripping of another brand its trying to get its FAN brand a little more well known. They aren't forcing anyone to do this stuff they are just saying it is something they can do to support the creators. Heck poppy playtime did it as well!
I know there are some less than appropriate things on there sister channel but its safe to assume that they might be A LITTLE immature but through the animation of the game alone you can see this as a passion project. It has more thought and time and care put into than any of the hello neighbour games, it has more passion and ideas and creativity than modern Disney films. While i can understand your hate you have to admit there is still much worse out there. Anything that angers you about this brand isn't even because of the game! its from other things. You don't have to go to there discord server and buy there NFTS you can still enjoy the incredible game they can make!
we can all have our own opinions but in my opinion i feel like at least 40% of the hate is unwarranted.

FNAC and joy of creation are just free fan games. And Scott literally asked for FNAF plus to be made. Fan games are free, what people are angry about are that kandy land is selling their game.

so i think the reason everyone gets mad about it is because it doesnt credit anything about FNaF. if you look into it, FNaF has a thing called the "Fazbear Fanverse initiative". there are tons of fangames like, five nights at candys, popgoes evergreen, etc that were made with the fanverse initiative that helped kickstart some fnaf fangames that were approved by scott himself. now the reason every one is mad about kandyland is because it does not have to do anything with the Fazbear Fanverse initiative. anyways just wanted to say that

I don’t disagree with you but I more think it’s like an alternative universe thing instead of it being a direct link to in another if that makes sense
I like the kandyland series
A lot of people don't seem to grasp or understand that the idea of animatronic horror doesn't belong to a singular person and has been around even before Scott-especially in movies. Scott definitely took his own creative liberties of course, but also referenced different sources of media to help build his game and his characters- so it isn't fair that one can't express the same desire of making a horror animatronic game with in depth lore. People miss the point where they think that if it's an animatronic, they go bad, and try to kill kids or whatever- then it's five nights at freddy's. But in reality it has so many differences that unless it was trying to DIRECTLY copy scott, then there would be an issue. But since this creator has taken his own ideas and mixed them with inspiration, i really don't think we should be dogging on this creator. They spent the hours and time into those animations, trailers, and making the game and are equally deserving of support just as anyone else who has made an FNAF inspired game.

I totally agree with you on this and that’s why I made this video on the game, I’m really excited for this game and really was dumbfounded when I saw all the negative backlash on the game (excluding the nft’s). Since fnaf is slowing down and we don’t really know the future of the franchise I thought people would be super excited to see that another very promising looking game to come out to replace it, or at least fill the hole that it left when they said they may stop making main story games. There’s ripp-offs and there are fan games. I believe Kandyland is a fnaf fan game/series project considering the fact that goldenlane studios has made a fnaf series years ago. Also the robots give it away 😅😆

I don't see any evidence that this is being made into a game. It's obvious that someone is talented at creating video shorts using Unreal Engine 5, I admit the videos look great. But I can't find any video showing gameplay, just video clips which GoldenLane Studio claims are game trailers. Can you link to a video which shows actual gameplay or even just gameplay elements i.e. stats, maps, user interaction with anything, etc.?
really late response since I have been a way for a bit, the only evidence that we have is the fact that they said its going to be a game and also the steam store add for it. Unfortunately there are no game footage that I know of or any other game content that I can find.

I agree that Fnaf is in a completely different league, but my main comparison was that they were both animatronic horror and that kandyland took a lot of inspiration from the fnaf series.
