I agree with the smell.....there is nothing like walking up the ramps, going around the corner in through the doors, the parrot squawking away, you get the smell, the nice cold air from the AC blowing down on you, then feeling the floor shake as the boats go up to the boarding area. You feel at home.

There's a shop on Etsy called AnthologyCandles and they have a Pirates of the Caribbean scented one! I haven't smelled it personally, but I did buy their Main Street candle and the scent is spot-on so I imagine this is a good one too.

The smell of the water on this and splash mountain is also unforgettable and whenever I smell something that smells even similar it always makes me happy!
This ride is one of those rides that you just can't skip out on when you're in Disney - it's got some of the best atmosphere in the entire park. The smell of the water, the music, the watery spray from both the downhills and the cannonfire... it's so good.

I hadn't been to Magic Kingdom in many many years, and when I took my kids for the first time, we walked up for rope drop and waited for the park opening ceremony at the depot and I looked at my family and said, "That smell! It still smells the same!" They had no idea what I was talking about. They pump something in the air. They know what they are doing.

Currently taking a literature class on pirates here at college. Every time I go to class, I always have Pirates of the Caribbean in mind and I always play this music whenever I have to do homework of the class.
I rode this ride 3 times in one day because of a randomly short wait time and a fastpass, and when going around the corner to see the little treasure room before the boat area, there was a pirate manakin or something there, and I literally said out loud to my friend "That's weird. I don't remember a guy being there before." And this shadowy Captain Jack Sparrow did that fake lunge from the alcove and jumpscared the HECK out of me while I walked past him in line, staring RIGHT AT HIM. I barely got a chance to look back because the line was moving. What makes it so memorable to me was that it wasn't just some rando jumpscare but Me actually looking around the queue and _looking right at him,_ thinking out loud *_"dur dur dur. Hey, There wasn't a pirate there the last time I went through the queue. What's going on? Did I miss him before?"_* like it was scripted. I seriously had NO idea what that was about because I hadn't heard about Jack Sparrows just lounging around the queue before.

The chemical Disney uses to clean the water on their rides gives off a very distinct smell, so when you enter any water ride (especially Splash Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean because they are indoors) you smell the cleaner for the entire ride.

Ahh I love that Pirates smell. When I was little I would always with I could take it home with me. I heard its a chemical called Bromine that they use in the water instead of chlorine that gives it that smell.
Years ago I downloaded a huge collection of Disney Parks music, probably from the Pirate Bay (appropriately). 😆 It's great to listen to for nostalgia and relaxation... Main Street, Pirates, Splash Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, Epcot... I love it all.
I remember my Geography teacher played the rides soundtrack and I felt really sad because it reminded me how much I misssed Disney Land . And the last time I went was the weekend prior to when he played the soundtrack 😂

That music sounds like the kind used in the opening credits for "The Jungle Book". No big surprise, considering that George Bruns did the music for that as well as for Pirates, and they both debuted in 1967!
My plan is going to see Disney World someday hopefully. I heard the Park is great and a lot bigger than Disneyland and many things to do there and see also too.

Ahh I love that Pirates smell. When I was little I would always with I could take it home with me. I heard its a chemical called Bromine that they use in the water instead of chlorine that gives it that smell.
Years ago I downloaded a huge collection of Disney Parks music, probably from the Pirate Bay (appropriately). 😆 It's great to listen to for nostalgia and relaxation... Main Street, Pirates, Splash Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, Epcot... I love it all.

I remember my Geography teacher played the rides soundtrack and I felt really sad because it reminded me how much I misssed Disney Land . And the last time I went was the weekend prior to when he played the soundtrack 😂

It is in FL at WDW (not sure if they made the same changed in CA).....at the beginning where you ride past the scene of the old pirate skeletons on the beach to your left, instead of the tune that resembles this one, it's now that "Jolly Sailor Bold" song from the 4th and most recent POTC movie.

That music sounds like the kind used in the opening credits for "The Jungle Book". No big surprise, considering that George Bruns did the music for that as well as for Pirates, and they both debuted in 1967!
My plan is going to see Disney World someday hopefully. I heard the Park is great and a lot bigger than Disneyland and many things to do there and see also too.
