Speak aloud to the air as if you don't know the words that you're saying.
This is where we've found a safety, a peace, beneath the shadows of walking giants.
Tell me, tell me. (How will you feel?)
How will you feel when you find out who you are?
Tell me, tell me. (How can you heal?)
How can you heal if you don't have any scars?
Test the waters again as if you don't know the dangers of your ways.
Face to face, the cold blooded war machines are all around us.
They're all around us.
Tell me, tell me. (How will you feel?)
How will you feel when you find out who you are?
Tell me, tell me. (How can you heal?)
How can you heal if you don't have any scars?
I fear reality has changed forever.
Take the shape of my demons.
The things I once knew are turning against me.
What next? What now? What will we find in the wasteland?
Tell me, tell me. (How will you feel?)
How will you feel when you find out who you are?
Tell me, tell me. (How can you heal?)
How can you heal if you don't have any scars?
Just in case people aren't reading the comments, The Amity Affliction unknowingly ripped off the music to this song. Their old guitarist Troy "wrote" the music, and when they were reading UA-cam comments to decide what songs to put on their touring setlist at one time someone had pointed it out that the music was all the same. They then, kicked Troy out of the band and retired the song. They no longer perform it live because they feel bad about it. If they would've known beforehand they never would've put it on the album or recordes it at all. Joel & Dan explained this all in a workshop I took with them yesterday because someone asked why the song was retired.
Can you explain their newest song "skeletons" and my ticket homes "in regret". The Amity affliction is my favorite band. I just wanna know whats going on
+Trisha January So you're saying Troy was kicked out of the band for that reason?
+Gilbert Gonzalez Give It All
+Trisha January Yeah nah Give It All is still better
Jesse Marlin I agree
it doesn't sound exactly like give it all but it deff resembles it slightly. dammit Troy that was Joel's fave song!
one of my fav songs is give it all. makes me really sad he did this.
They SERIOUSLY outdid themselves with this album. Sean's voice is godly.
Who's only here for the Amity comparison
Alice Bennett tragic :(
No comparison
Amity Affliction fans should take it back. Atlas y’all suck dick
Naw i knew who they were before amity...they toured in my home town when they were local lol i went to almost every show my small local venue had lol
Besides the intro similarities and chord progression, the rest of each song are so different.
It's a sad moment for your band when you realize all the comments on your song are in fact about that other band who plagiarized it.
Damn it to heck Troy, give it all is my favorite song. Now I don't get to hear it live :(
I feel ya man but I think give it all is the best version but the guitar in this version sounds a bit better
If you’re seeing them on this Let the ocean take me tour, they are in fact playing it. They’re playing the whole album (not the extended version)
@@ashlynp8713 yeah I missed out on GA tickets (sad) so I’m hoping they add another date here! This is not a tour I want to be seated for, I’d rather stand and cry
Hopefully you can find a resale. Look on vivid seats and access. It was a fantastic show. Went last night
I could listen to this song all day long. Love the clean vocals. I recommend this album to everyone.
This is my favorite song from my ticket home
I guess the riff is kinda similar to the chorus in Give it All but that hardly counts as stolen. People write similar riffs all the time
And the riff is not fully the same, Troy did tweak it a bit but still the are very similar
you guys were amazing last night... the speech was inspiring.. thankyou (:
This is one of my favorites.
I just got my cd in the mail today, needless to say this album is flawless, I love how they (at least in my opinion) blend together not only metalcore but also have a soft sound to some of the songs as well such as this and others, great cd, I give it a 8/10. great job guys.
for those arguing. yes the amity afflcition did. not the band as a whole but they kicked out troy because he claimed to have written it, and their harsh vocalist Joel admitted to it as well, and he regrets the fact because of the emotional toll the song has on him and how much the song meant to him. he great fully hates the fact that troy plagiarized, the band was not aware until after the fact when fans pointed it out.
uhh compare the fucking lyrics they didn't steal any lyrics from this song. It's not even close.
sykes sucks Not the lyrics. The chord progressions. No one said anything about lyrics.
the cleans are so perfect!
Hmm, but the screams are terrible
give it all sounds better
Way better
Love. It!
This song is amazing. Clean vocals
@novicesss It's Sean. He recorded cleans before he left the band. Derek does live stuff and will do cleans for everything else they do.
For rise records, this is a badass song!
they even said in an interview they were tired of mrtalcore..sucks it died about 2014...i didn't get into it until LATE 2010....SO here I am it starts dieing but it was going strong sinxe about 06......
HOLY CRAP MY NEW FAVORITE SONG!!!!!
clean vocal always nice
Easily my favorite song off the album...
the chorus: "Tell me, how will you feel when you find out who you are?
Tell me, how can you heal if you don't have any scars?" is so damn powerful & beautiful.
so great band! :B
you're totally right ;D
Everytime they went " Tell me, Tell Me" It reminded me of the old days with Van Atta High's Call Me Jersey lmfaoooo
AAHHH FINALLY YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They were good with the basic Metalcore blueprint, but it did sound like Caleb Shomo did screams. There new music doeeeee
Caleb shomo did recordings with them in studios. Thats why
+anthony adams He was saying that Nick Giumenti (uncleans in MTH) sounds like Caleb. I agree
This and Fear Complex are the best songs on the album IMO.
Itzzzzzzz dopeeeee
I miss these days
Actually even the chorus are the same. Just that MTH does clean! TAA screams!
ME TOOO. I met Sean Macowski when he first started filling in for Attack Attack and he showed me MTH, I about shit my pants when I listened to them! This was like, 2 years ago?
@kategetsit, I miss the Ironworks soo much,
Plagiarise is a very strong word
@YupItzJojo they do still have keyboard parts, its just toned down. they dont have techno breakdowns anymore either, but you can still hear the parts in many of the chorus'
Another band from Ohio! Awesome shit. Keep pumping them out MI and OH
@hypnotizedpro u made me clean my tears :P
Rise Records fest in New Orleans? PLEASE!?
@PeetM789 It's not Sean Mackowski. It's Derek Blevins.
Why is the very end of the last song at the very beginning of this one?
MTH uses transitions in their EP to. Woe, Is Me used them all the way through Number[s]
Can someone please tell me who does the clean vocals on this and the album...? This is just insane!!! I can die now, and I will be happy! I never had a song so much on repeat! :)
Sean Mackowski
Definitely same intro riffs, but sounded more like a Saosin song to me.
This song makes me sad...
It's definitely the same riff between TAA and MTH. But riffs get recycled between bands. It happens. Listen to the 'shut the fuck up' ending breakdown to Jumanji by Attila and then listen to the intro breakdown to Sometimes You're the Hammer... by A Day To Remember. Exact same chug pattern, ADTR just sped it up. Honestly I think both Attila's and ADTR's take on it are heavy, and MTH and TAA may have the same riff but imitation is flattery in some cases.
It's not just the riff though, the drums in some parts are exactly the same too.
+Alex deBruin (Vajoot) I totally agree, haha but at the same time, I think both songs kick ass.
Why compare? And also, Attack Attack! has improved a LOT as well as My Ticket Home, mostly on their last album, you should check.
8 years ago, fuck me, I'm getting old
Lyrics please :)
@hypnotizedpro 'Course there's one hipster on here that has to tell us he listened to them before everyone else. Congratulations bro, seriously.
@YupItzJojo u mean this band sounds like attack attack since caleb produced it
The first time I heard these guys I thought it was Attack Attack. They sound really similar.
@alexprice93 no it is sean
@Kreachuur PLEASE!!!!???
I GIVE IT ALL AND WHEN I FALLL.... oh wait..tbf i prefer I Give It All by TAA but this is sick
I don't really understand give it all by Amity affliction sounds nothing like this
+Jocelyn Norris Listen to the chord progression starting at 0:15 and hum the chorus to Give It All. It's definitely there.
It's also on a different tuning
Kitty Zuniqua only a haft step.
Also check out "Skeletons" AA vs "In Regret" MTH, once was a rip-off, twice is blatant assholeness (Troy, not AA)
Lol. the old lead guitarist sean plays with them, And also. caleb shomo, From AA. helped produce this. dur
Just why did Troy do that? I don't understand it, he was a great writer...
AttackAttack! is not a reference. not since a while ...
It’s literally just the rhythm guitar that sounds the same, the only difference is the tuning, the riffs in Drop B here and on Amity’s it’s in Drop A#.
Good, but don't compare to the awesome sound of Strangers only.
Nah, Attack Attack's 2nd album is a shitty version of this. They have been with their own sound for years, check out their first EP "above the city", it's awesome!
they sound like my ticket home
Maybe they sound similar to Attack Attack because this album was produced by Caleb. Maybe Caleb knows what sounds good and what doesn't. I think My Ticket Home sounds amazing, and Attack Attack respectively. Just listen to the music and stop comparing bands.
Still prefer give it all by Amity Affliction
Well this was first; without it, it wouldn't exist. 🤷♂️
@@SuperWyattguyDon’t matter Amity’s is still better lol
@@raydog_97 After four years, my point still stands.
My Fucking Ticket Home
@tedjones1948 you're*
does it really matters bro?
its a better version of the new attack attack.... the old attack attack was great, specialy when they had austin carlile...
this sounds familiar. wonder why
amity affliction - give it all
imo give it all and this sound nothing alike
All you had to expect was a similar guitar riff.
I came here because they are touring with Architects, I am extremely disappointed.
Check out their new album "Strangers Only" its so different to this
There are some great songs on this album, and Strangers Only. I'd love to see them live!
HaremofScorpions strangers only is their best album to date. it has a lot of nirvana and grunge influences.
It's hard not to be disappointed with anything you listen to after listening to Architects.
im atleast half your views.
your welcome.
Give it all dosnt not sound remotely close to this
Well then your ears don't serve you well because the chord progression in the chorus to Give It All was a plagiarization made by ex guitarist Troy Brady, and this one of the reasons why he was out of the band back in 2014.
Love this song!666
yeah but attack attack! has my ticket homes first clean singer. he was why i started getting into them with their first EP but now their not near as good.
honestly, i was disappointed with the first 2 songs released because of the the way they made their songs. the tempo was just too fast. but this song, is great :)
@JordonAlonzo More like Attack Attack! is a lame version of My Ticket Home.
esta banda no tiene comparacion con amity
David Fernando Acosta Romero The Amity es mejor :v
concuerdo, Amity es mejor.
So, The Amity Affliction totally ripped this intro off... Listen to their new song "Give it all"
lol they sound nothing alike, yeah similar bass drum patterns & a generic guitar riff. sounds like every other band.
As a musician, I can tell if someone has copied something...and THEY TOTALLY FUCKING DID. OMG LOL
lol yes, because you being a musician makes so much of a difference in your argument. ok
You might want to listen to give it all again it's got the same tone but not the same notes and pattern the fact you're a musician doesn't make a difference don't pull that card but no this isn't exactly the same it's similar and you know what same genre doesn't seem like they aren't much different
Isaac Diamond MTH doesn't play this song in drop B anymore. They use A#, and Amitty uses A#, in that tuning its the same notes, look up a live version of this song with MTH as a 4 piece. You'll hear it dude.
Pretty much a better version of AttackAttack, lol.
The singer is alright but the screamer is terrible. Also, the instrumental is cool.
Terrible audio mixing
