I agree with what you’ve said. I love my M2 and it is very very capable and is really fun, but it’s not very raw and ‘exciting’. I think I will change it for an e46 for track use, but the M2 is seriously quick!
Interesting to see that share the same opinion even from the owner’s point of view. I think it is much more complicated to have an objective opinion on this , when you have invested money into something but It feels right knowing that I am not completely off track here with the comment I made. Again I have serious respect for the car , I don’t want to be misunderstood but I think the wow factor is missing. The E46 on the other hand.... ❤️
Yeh, it’s my only car so as a road car that’s capable on track there isn’t much that competes. It’s a shame that you can’t get away from it being modern/heavy/refined! Great video by the way and useful to see a well driven lap.
@@jazz0230 Nicely said and glad you liked the content! This car surely deserves a better lap than the one showed. It’s just a matter of time to get a nice day and drive it properly. Does your car have any modifications ?
@@kzannos yeah getting a nice clear lap is very hard. My car has coilovers, top mounts, brake and cooling upgrades and cup2 tyres. I think I could manage a laptime close to this video, but think I’d have more fun using heel and toe in a e46, so i think next year I’ll buy one of those and see!
@@jazz0230 If the bits are good then the mods sound like all you need for track! But I think I have to agree that the platform of the e46, is a bit more involving than that of the M2. Faster? Maybe not. But who cares! Laptimes is not what makes you smile in the end of those laps.
