Soviet Russia / USSR after the war gave Poland billions, built factories, restored infrastructure, built from the ruins of Warsaw.

Soviet soldiers restored ten thousand kilometers of railway tracks, 63 stations, eight depots, 30 kilometers of bridges, Warsaw power plant, 16 thousand poisoned or blown wells, repaired roads, carried potatoes, sunflower oil, Inventory, tea, kerosene, matches. Doctors cured thousands of infectious diseases. Soviet engineers cleared two million mines and bombs.
When it was discovered in Moscow in 1956 that Poland had a debt of 2.3 billion rubles, it was written off in support and a new loan of 800 million rubles was issued.
Soviet specialists established 151 industrial enterprises in Poland, including a car factory in Warsaw, where Daewoo is now produced. It was equipped by a metallurgical plant in Novaya Guta. In 1959, the USSR transferred to Poland the production of An-2 aircraft, and in 1965 - the production of unique Mi-2 helicopters. Between 1944 and 1960, the USSR spent $600 billion on Poland.
In 1971, Brezhnev complained that they looked like shopkeepers and fought over every penny. In the 1980s, the USSR again gave Poles seven billion foreign exchange rubles and again "forgiven" the remaining 5.5 billion in the early 1990s. And that’s when Russia had its problems.
