But how does it make searching faster? I want to list all products that begin with BU how can this be faster than querying SQL Server with an index. I Still dont get this unless its building up aggregates or extra data on the sidelines just like an index that then references the documents that match?
Thanks for the feedback! 🙂 We already have some videos on Kafka, like this one: ibm.co/30WOwGS, and feel free to look around our videos and playlists for more info.
Thank you IBM for all this content. The biggest question i have is, how do you create the illusion of writing on our screen? Especially the actors writing coincide with the draw despite them being behind the drawing plane
it mighty be a misconception about Database correlaction with index on the elasticsearch side. If you check the documents they say DATABASE is related to CLUSTER.
Very helpful. Came looking for some information on Elasticsearch, understood that thanks to video and now I also have more things to look upto, Thank you for guiding me in a direction..

How on earth do they film these videos? The dude seems to be writing backwards, which is an impressive skill; and it seems like there's a piece of glass between him and the screen. Very weird but cool.
@@IBMTechnology Amazing, I found it, It's a pretty complex setup, although the idea is simple, isn't easy to have one at home haha. I was curious mostly because of the image flip. Thanks
Wth how ??? You have a data store (json based) that has a ui you can build and then you have an entry door to fill up your data store plus you have an agent that can be installed everywhere to communicate natively to the entry door.
Honestly the gimmick of writing on the glass panel is distracting from the content and is not necessary. You did not really present even one single example of how a query is build or executed so I still have no idea why I should pick elasticsearch over something else...you just listed component of the service but nothing that helps make a decision... unless that wasn t the purpose of this video
Comparing was obviously not the point of the video. The title of the video is what is elastic search, and he explained it very well. And the visuals help very much.
I would finally like to see an explanation that actually IS simple, not all these supposed "explanations" that seem to sound more like a sales pitch as they go on.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I just can't watch videos where people are doing this silly writing backwards.
Thanks, adding 10 years of experience with Elastic Search to my cv
In this job market everyone laid off actually has 10 yrs exp. Go for 20😂
lmao i have 2 years exp its hard out here smh
🤣😂
But it was created 8 yrs ago 😂
@@TamaraRitchieCyber then it would be correct to say one has even 15 years of experience with it. It would sound totally logical for recruiters.
Blows my mind how he can write backwards so effortlessly
I wondered the same, turns out they actually do a horizontal mirroring of the video! 😉
Yes, we do 👉 ibm.co/31FpRHA 😉
@@IBMTechnology Finally, I have the answer! It bugged me sooo much >
First Requirement in your Resume
Can u write backwords ?
Now we need a video on how to make this kind of video.
Good explanation, thanks for that. What is impressive is that the presenter can write from right to left!
The video is mirrored.
ua-cam.com/video/Uoz_osFtw68/v-deo.html&ab_channel=IBMTechnology
For those who wonder
You can write normally and then mirror video in post
Extremely helpful, especially the comparison with RDBMS

Can we all just acknowledge and appreciate his backwards writing.
I realized early on that Elastic Search was not what I was looking for but I stated because he is such a good presenter 😊😄
Set the video speed to 1.5. You‘re welcome
yeah its really slow and boring
So this is what Roy Jones Junior does when not doing boxing commentary! (great video, learnt a lot).
Very impressed in the left to right writing...
Excellent short and sweet (very sweet) intro to Elasticsearch
Thank you for the video, sir. I wish you could create a whole course on this topic.
Awesome. Very clear explanation. Thanks now go into the details of logstash, beats and kafka :)
Thanks for the feedback! 🙂 We already have some videos on Kafka, like this one: ibm.co/30WOwGS, and feel free to look around our videos and playlists for more info.
Excellent you simply explained the core of ES.
Thank you, very good explanation on ElasticSearch and ELK stack
I really like the effect in which you write in front of you
Thank you IBM for all this content. The biggest question i have is, how do you create the illusion of writing on our screen? Especially the actors writing coincide with the draw despite them being behind the drawing plane
Thank you. Logstash might be replaced by Fluented for cloud native scenario.
This was great, very simple and great presentation for a high level understanding.
Dude, thanks so much! Helped me a lot!
can logstash handle logging at runtime from an API or it just read log files?
Is Elasticsearch + Kibana + Logstash a good option for searching MS Office documents (hundreds of thousands)? Any pointers how this can be done?
You have my sympathies - having to write all that stuff backwards! Nice job explaining what's going on. Thanks!
I am working as a Data Analyst using ELK stack.
Love this kind of accent! the content also ofc
When do you not use Elasticsearch then? in terms of tradeoffs for system design interview
I have big data like 3 TB and I can't process data can you help me to fix it?
Thanks to you, i learned something new today.
We're so happy to hear that, Kashif! 🙂 Stay tuned for more!

I hope once I will learn to write backwards IBM will hire me
Very useful,
Can you please also make videos on "Hadoop, Spark, Ceph or High-Performance Computing Cluster"?
It will be very helpful

Thank you, Jamil.
Can we use Elasticsearch technology with AWS, google cloud and IBM cloud.
Short answer, yes! 🙂 For the long answer, on IBM Elasticsearch, check out the first two links in this video's description ⤴️
What about the retro encabulator?
Thanks for the explanation. Not rushed and well explained. Thanks
cant i just use mongoGB instead of ES? just put indexes and log the thing i need?
Very good explanation/overview - thanks.
How does he writes from right to left with 2 both hands?
Great job and great handwriting! :)
Why nothing was said about the shards?
Most in-correct/mis-leading statement is right at the beginning of this video i.e. Elastic is a Database ua-cam.com/video/gWXkAhnYFYw/v-deo.html
very useful vid thanks
Thank you very much. It's very clear on the high level.
Thanks for teaching this
So, IBM technology is not beginners.
Is he writing mirrored letters from right to left from his perspective?
Thank you, very clear explanation
Thanks you! Very informative video for beginners!
automagically?
Elasticsearch is a product that was built by several open-source developers and then immorally price walled.
Can anyone tell me whether the B in the illustration means "bits"?
🎉🎉🎉😢😢😮😅😅😊😊
Thank you for the good content
Excellent Job. so useful and very simple presentation. Thank you
Thanks. wonder that are you have another video or a video series about ELK Stack?
thanks for you basis videos😛
Excellent explanation thanks 🙏.
why isn't the text reversed since he's writing on the other side of the mirror?
Because he can write in a mirror reflection.
They probably flipped the whole video.
Thanks for the video sir, anyway your voice so similar like Drake's
greate job! Thank you. And can I ask what sofeware are you using to record this kind of vedio?
It's filmed through a glass pane and the image reversed in post-production.
How on earth do they film these videos? The dude seems to be writing backwards, which is an impressive skill; and it seems like there's a piece of glass between him and the screen. Very weird but cool.
as a junior dev I can't get what relations ES and MongoDB can have on the project and how it works
how do you guys do this type of video?
Search on "lightboard videos".

See ibm.biz/write-backwards

Really informative! Although I am curious, what tool did you use to edit a video like this?
Did you ever figure out what technology was used to create this video?

That's kind of slang-y, i.e., "automation that happens magically".
