I imagine her theme's name is in reference to Izanagi's descent into Yomi where he attempted to rescue his wife Izanami. She agreed to come out with him once he found her, but only if he agreed not to look back as she followed him out. He could not resist and looked back though, and saw that Izanami had taken a hideous form, with her becoming irate at him when he broke his promise. Indeed, In her wrath, Izanami sent 8 hags to chase Izanagi for his transgression. These hags being the Yomotsu-Shikome, or in another name, "Yomotsu-Hisame"
Shout out to Hisami who canonically has one-sided crush / adoration of Zanmu and literally said she WANTED to be scolded by Zanmu, and even asked her directly to scold her. Also, her design is great, and I've already seen so much fanart of her. The theme is quite calm which suits her elegant design (although I do see where the Kaguya comparisons are coming from). I especially like how the ZUNpets are used in the song, which make it sound even more fancy.

that e guitar after 1:42 is very chaotic, nice. ZUN normally doesnt do that as most of the time e guitars in touhou themes are backing rhythm or front melody, so its cool to see ZUN making backing guitars do riffs instead

The song is in 5/4 or 5/8 at the start, the beats are partitioned into a mostly 3 + 2 grouping (1 2 3 1 2), which is more characteristic of 5/8. The melody at 0:07 and 1:15 is reminiscent of that of UFO Stage 5. At 1:41, the time signature changes to either 4/4 or a slow 2/2, due to the way the beats are emphasized. Someone with more music knowledge can correct me.
This one definitely is my favorite of the new themes, it’s just really nostalgic for some reason, maybe because the melody is very reminiscent of old windows touhou or because piano is the main instrument and reminds me of reisen’s theme, also piano based with ZUNpets too. It feels like a joining of new instruments and old melodies, the best kind nowadays.
The crowning jewel of UDoALG for me. I'm blessed enough that it even belongs to my favorite character. Hisami is such a fun throwback to classic Touhou. I think a lot of people will have made that connection, but to me, she's definitely a throwback to Sakuya. This embodiment of allure and elegance, enough that she could herself be a main antagonist, and yet completely faithful to her Mistress, this time so much so that she becomes caricatural - not unlike fanon Sakuya was back in her hayday. And what a gorgeous design too.
Everyone says that 1:42 is the best part of the song, but if you'd ask me I personally say it's actually the... weakest part of the song? Because every part other than that I absolutely love! It's a beautiful 5/4 waltz for the theme of a graceful lady with a sinister power and it fits her to a T, the piano part at the beginning especially... 1:14 is so good too with the cymbals going along to the beat with that booming melody!!

I also noticed that she has a fruit theme (Grape in her case), Suika is the watermelon (although only her name) and if we count Yumemi (strawberries, although only because of the name of her song, Strawberry Crisis), she would be the third character with this feature.
I personally think she would be more like the fourth/fifth character to be represented by a fruit, the other two would be Orange/Orenji and Elly! (both from the PC98 era)
Also in the music room, ZUN said to think of this as a “stage 5 stage theme (LOL)”, so make what you will of that, cuz biten’s theme in this game also sounds more like a stage theme and 5 returning characters also got stage themes arranged, guess ZUN is trying to make up for Phantasmagoria games’ lack of stage themes so we have 7 stage themes, JUST LIKE IN ANY OTHER TOUHOU GAME WITH 7 STAGES, I KNEW IT

I think that's in part due to the nature of the game. The gameplay is somewhere in between the stage and boss segments of most Touhou games and winning is based on survival, so a lot of the music won't sound like your usual boss themes. I feel like this was true for PoFV too.
I just noticed, in a game where every other character has animal patterns or parts, even the humans, Hisami is the only character without any. Instead she's the only one with plant motifs.
