When I bought this summer (coincidentally not far from 54 and Little…yikes! Didn’t know about that big hole) I did know it was a thing in the area. Asked my insurer if they have sinkhole coverage. Said technically no but that I’m covered for catastrophic ground loss. Sounds the same to me but maybe it isn’t?? Only ground loss I’ve noticed so far is from my dog digging unwanted holes.

Be sure the house has gutters and that the downspouts direct roof water away from the foundation.
