As has become the tradition for these videos, here's a place I can put my thoughts on the current state of GMs and difficulty in the game. That being said, my thoughts from last season haven't really changed too much this season: ua-cam.com/video/Dm6Iof0Ro_w/v-deo.html If anything, this season has further reinforced the idea that I don't know what place in the game GMs are meant to occupy. If they're intended to remain at their current difficulty, that's fine (as I've also explained in detail before). But there's no noticeable difference between master and grandmaster, so it makes them feel quite redundant as a result. More often than not, master nightfalls can be more challenging due to the modifiers, and the 5 power level difference changes almost nothing. There's also been no innovation to grandmasters since their release 11 seasons ago, and repeating what are mostly the same set of nightfalls each season doesn't feel great. While I'd also like to commend the additions of battlegrounds and revamps of old strikes, I don't think battlegrounds fit very well as nightfalls at all. The revamps have potential, although the Lake of Shadows one was done extremely poorly. The Arms Dealer was actually enjoyable thinking back on it, outside of the tedious threshers. I feel like going forward, one of two things need to happen so that GMs have their own unique place. Either innovation, through new ideas or increased difficulty. Or the other option, that legend and master difficulties are changed, ideally with their forced handicaps being removed entirely. Their efforts to "bring challenge back to Destiny" in theory I agreed with, but as I already said before; when increasing the lower difficulty levels and leaving the highest difficulties alone, nobody wins. It only frustrates the more casual player, while doing nothing to appease the more hardcore player. So I feel like something has to give. All of that being said, outside of the nightfall landscape, I do feel like Deep Dives were an excellent addition to the game. If their rewards were matching for the effort involved, I feel like they're a great start for how content and escalating challenge could be. A little more fleshed out, and even higher tiers of rewards and difficulty (that are actually rewarding and worth the effort), they'd be brilliant. Maybe outside of the awkward difficulty in random groups and activating Pressure Trials. The exotic mission I personally felt was great from a challenge perspective to solo, while also being manageable for groups (especially now that strategies are evolving). I think if not for Deep Dives and the exotic mission, I'd be left feeling quite apathetic towards the game and difficulty as a whole. But it was a nice surprise, and leaves me a little more hopeful going forward. Lastly, the GM selector node should not be on a knockout system. I understand they did it so people would stop farming their favourite GM when the week aligned, but it would be nice to be able to do any GM you want, at any time.
It's hard catering to all players, remember not everybody no-life's this game, but I think the biggest reason GM's feel easier has to do with exotic primary buffs(which were needed) but the biggest change is infinite primary ammo. Remember the days doing a gm with limited primary, that was a challenge, might be nice to be able to add custom modifiers like that with imcreased rewards which increases difficulty.
For the exotic node if u don't accept the marker on the conqueror for the specific nightfall u can still keep repeating it over and over just that u can't gild the title like that or u can keep doing that and just gild the title at the end of the season
Idk what a 3.0 variations of what enemies would like, but we need more challenging dynamic enemies because with the 3.0 subclasses and darkness subclasses. We kinda nasty
Good writeup. I agree with the deep dives; they’re probably the best little piece of innovation I’ve seen from Bungie in a while. It’s always nice to hear your perspective on stuff, since you’ve been one of the most consistent pieces of the Destiny landscape for so long. Datto recently did a state of the channel / final shape / plans video. Could we get something similar from you? I’m curious what your thoughts are on destiny burnout, whether you’ll continue with the game post-final shape, stuff like that.
Generally i don't like to do dedicated videos to the state of the game / my thoughts, as they suit more commentary focused content, and I try to keep opinions on the game away from most content. Usually it'll just be as part of compilation videos like there, where I can give a text-based update on my own thoughts. Datto's video was interesting though, and I could see myself relating heavily to what he was saying. In regards to quitting/burnout, I will be continuing with the game post-final shape and have no plans to quit. I do end up feeling quite burned out a lot more frequently, which I mentioned a lot on the Solo Root of Nightmares raid video, but not unmanageable-y so. I'll be taking a bit more time to play other games this season and next season, but still keep the content regular. Unless the game completely dies, I'll be continuing on and covering it
I gotta ask Eso. I see a lot of people playing Final Fantasy 16. Are you not a fan of games like that?? Only asking because if you do vids on it we’d definitely watch. Either way, keep up the grind man you’re a legend 🙏🏽
I sense that in the future GM is shifting towards battleground style: infinite ads and more challenging enemies like tormentors and light bearers. Bungie could also remove the negative NF modifiers such as attrition (super slow health regen) from master/legend NF and add it to GMs. Hope y'all like that :D In the current state, master NF is completely obselete, bacause it feels basically like gm but gives much worse loots. This could be a strategy that Bungie takes to promote GMs.
hello as a new player im stuck between warlock and titan how should i choose i mean iknow that i can play every class but as a main i want to master at one class first which one would be better thanks
yeah its rly gm 1815 max so stupid from bungie like the recommended power is that pointless it could be 9999 too. If remember a past comment with always 20 light below in gm like 1835 as max (legend would be 1825 cause of the 1830) . It would just set the things in relation to make sense. Bungie bungie :P

Truly sad to see the game in such a state do you also have some Bugs going on in the New dungeon and deep dive sunbracers bugged sad 😢 man truly sad

I meant GM node sorry
You’re the Steph Curry of hucking grenades dude. How do you manage to always drop it at a champions feet no matter how far they are?
honestly after playing the game for so long you just kinda get used to knowing how far to throw
And many times without fastball, i would not be able to hit those without fastball
Idk what a 3.0 variations of what enemies would like, but we need more challenging dynamic enemies because with the 3.0 subclasses and darkness subclasses. We kinda nasty
Great work👍👍

@@Esoterickk good to hear. Keep up the excellent work 👍
1:11:09 never heard her make that much noise before lmao
Lol and he lost the engran
I do agree with u with deep dive, very fun activities but good damn the reward super lame, ascendant alloy would be nice
Yeah I think if the rewards were matching the general sentiment towards it would be much more poisitive
Huge titan fashion W
There were parts in the fallen walker area where you weren't getting any points for a kill. Hmm seems like a w bungie moment.

Never got into the FF games personally, but there's a few other games coming over the next few months that I'll be uploading (Remnant 2, Lies of P)
Hey Eso, what exactly is the thought behind playing geomags or crown of tempest instead of just playing fallen sunstar?
Thanks
geomags good for aerial cover and quick champ melt when available. crown super is meta for crowd clear bc it last forever.

Try to do video with all GMs in the game
🤔
There was one part he threw back to back grenades and I have no idea how?
me and my friend both did devils lair together. not an easy one to do even in duos unless you known what yur doing
destiny god
Day 2 of asking you to get a mic so we can hear you talk
yeah you have fun with that one buddy
he plays solo, who is he talking to?
He talks in his day 1 clears. At least, for Vow he did
@@KoreanMungBeanSproutSalad he’s talking in every day one raid
You can hear him talking if you watcb his worls first races
hello as a new player im stuck between warlock and titan how should i choose i mean iknow that i can play every class but as a main i want to master at one class first which one would be better thanks
Every class has it's upsides and downsides depending on the content you want to play, personally I recommend trying all 3
Both have their strengths and weaknesses, so right now the best choice would be to stick with the one that you enjoy the most and build from there
@@Esoterickk thank you i went for warlock

How are you playing different Gms???
After completing the conqueror seal, you get the selector node unlocked that allows you to pick the others to gild the title
