The key of this video isn't just the dunk it's who they're dunking on. The biggest baddest shot blockers in the league.
Yeah it adds a lot when you know that some of the dunks are guards going over 7-foot centers (or in Shawn Bradley's case, 7'6"), and little details like Jordan's finger wag after a dunk on Dikembe Mutombo was because Mutombo famously wagged his finger in a "no no no" gesture at shooters after he blocked their shot.
thanks captain obvious!!!!!!! i couldn’t live without your intelligence!!!!!!!!!!
@@mikehunt368 Chill out goober. He explained it because the guys reacting don't seem to have much contextual knowledge about these plays. So while they can obviously appreciate the athleticism, they'd also benefit from knowing more about the individuals involved. I thought THAT was obvious, but apparently you needed it broken down for you.
@@you_can_call_me_T assuming they don’t know anything lol typical
@@mikehunt368 I didn't assume they know nothing. I observed that they missed certain context. I'll give you $100 right now if you can say something halfway intelligent.
12:48 A Technical Foul is very much like a yellow card in soccer/football. 2 techs and you are gone for the game. Each technical gives the other team 1 free throw and the ball back. Flagrant fouls are for egregious contact and can result in player DQ after just one depending on severity. Love the vids
well thats the difference of it not bein an exact yellow card, u get penolized right away with the 1 free throw n ball back
The ball shall be awarded to the team which had possession at the time the technical foul was assessed, whether the free throw attempt is successful or not. Play shall be resumed by a throw-in nearest the spot where play was interrupted.
Technical Fouls also cost the player money if I'm not mistaken. I forget how much though. $2000 for a tech?
@@insaneshadow85 2000 for the first five. 3000 for up to ten, 4000 up to 15 (with a warning letter mailed to them on 12), and number 16 is 5k and a game suspended. I wonder what happens after that, though.
how DeAndre Jordan's dunk over Brandon Knight NOT make it into this comp is straight criminal.
I swear. That was easily a top 10 dunk all time. I thought he killed bk for a minute
@@rjgraddy11 top 3 imo
That was like the very first “viral” dunk to happen in the NBA it seemed like on social media
@@PHXNKVHXLIC I think it was Josh Smith on Ibaka, or Carmelo on Paul Milsap
2:55 That's Spike Lee who Pippen is pointing at. Spike has always been a massive New York Knicks fan and the Bulls used to routinely destroy the Knicks even as Spike was screaming at them from his courtside seat. A little added irony is that Spike also directed Michael Jordan's most famous Nike ads.
I'm not a fan of the Knicks. I hate Knickers.
The Scottie Pippen on Patrick Ewing dunk requires a bit of context. It was a playoff series and the Ewing and the Knicks had been hacking him for games leading up to this one, and this was due payback. Met Scottie in a Chicago club once & he was very cool down to earth guy
Is his voice IRL as deep as in the videos? It sounds amazingly deep :D
And to add to it 2:55 you can he's pointing at movie producer and Knicks fan, Spike Lee. All of which ads to that unbelievable moment. I totally remember that.
I think it would be super interesting for you guys to see a compilation of major blocks in the NBA. So many of these dunk videos can make it seem like there is nothing a defensive player can do when someone is going full tilt on a dunk but there are actually plenty of blocks that are actually more impressive to see than the dunk would've been. Just something you might want to look into :)
They have. Go to their channel. It’s a bit far back. Or just type in their name and nba or blocks or something.
they've seen it. it's just hard for them with no basketball knowledge or context (that just comes naturally from being a fan and watching the games often) to truly appreciate it. especially with compilations, it makes very cool stuff look commonplace.
You should react to the NBA's Most Violent Dunker Ever! His dunks sound like a shot gun going off: ua-cam.com/video/pxGs6uBLxp4/v-deo.html
I can't believe they left off the DeRozan dunk on Rudy Gobert, When he was a Raptor vs the Jazz. That was a proper man dunk.
Loved this! As a long time Chicago Bull's fan, thanks for the memories! My dad used to say that back in his day (born in 1920, WWII Vet), at 5'11" he was considered tall; now that's nothin'
7:08 the 2022 dunk contest has to be the worse one ever. If you wanna see a good one, check out the 2016 one
they already did pretty much all of them in the "all 50 dunks in history" lmao man they really put on a show on that one
You should react to the NBA's Most Violent Dunker Ever! His dunks sound like a shot gun going off: ua-cam.com/video/pxGs6uBLxp4/v-deo.html
Dude throwing the ball at Shaq will forever be funny to me lmaoooo
The first guy, Shawn Kemp owns a very successful cannabis business in Seattle that I may or may not have gone to and may or may not have purchased some and may or may not have consumed some on my trip to Seattle last summer.
The history between LeBron and Jason Terry is what makes that dunk at 11:55 so sweet
Nobody can mistake these "players" for humans....
The Blokes' voices are so relaxing lol. It's like listening to NPR radio.
Do best blocks and best handles! Cant get enough of you guys and the NBA.
The worst I’ve ever seen is Vince Carter jumping over the 7 footer at the Olympics.
Vince Carter over Frederic Weiss is the greatest, in-game dunk, of all-time.
A tech is like a yellow... The opposing team gets free throws, and the ball.. Two techs is an ejection, so very parallel.
love the content fellas
A tech gives the opposing team one free throw and possession of the ball. If that player gets another tech in the game, it’s the same but he’s also disqualified. A flagrant 1 is similar but is for a foul that has unessesary contact which is usually anything on the neck or above, but can also be a hard unnecessary foul. The opposing team gets one FT and possession. A flagrant 2 is a foul that is unnecessary and excessive. The opposing team gets two free throws and that player is disqualified. The league can also review flagrants and reduce them to a common foul or just a flagrant one. They can also rescind technical fouls because if a play gets more than 16 techs in the regular session they are suspended for a game and one for each one after. It resets in the playoffs.
Almost, techs are if the players act like lil shits, flagrants are for unsportsmanlike fouls, and fouls that clearly went mainly for the body instead of the ball.
Love your reactions to the basketball stuff. Y'all should react to Kobe Bryant's best 100 plays if you want to see some incredible plays! You won't regret it!
Kobe has the most missed shots in NBA history. They should watch all those, I’ll send them the link.
Not a bad list here but to be fair every year between 98 and 08 Should have been Vince Carter every single year.
Doing American sports reaction without Daz is not the same. 🙁
I still don't get why dunks are disrespectful. Dunks are part of the game, the celebrations and taunting afterwards are the disrespectful part.
Obviously they'd mostly be on big dudes and great shotblockers, because the ones making the highlight reel are the ones that didn't bounce away or get blocked :P
The NBA used to be more physical and the rules allowed more contact. One of the biggest reasons why the rules changed in the NBA was due to the 'Malice in the Palace' riot in 2004. The NBA has changed for the better. However, it's become more difficult for defenders due to the rules reducing physical contact.
I'm annoyed that JR Smiths dunk (when he was with the nuggets) doesn't get any appreciation. Also DeAndre Jordan's dunk on Brandon Knight was better than either of those Blake Griffin dunks
I thought they both were gonna be in there
There were a few I woulda bet my life were gonna be in there and most were, but the DeAndre Jordan shoulda been depending on if they were going by Season (way better than Blake) or calendar year (hard to argue against LeBron over Terry but it would be #1 most other years). I had forgotten about JR too, that was sooo nasty
@@jayhop so many people forget about how athletic JR was.
I agree, the DeAndre Jordan on Brandon Knight is the best in game dunk I've ever seen.
There has to be some video to react to the rules of basketball and how offense and defense works so you'd understand the game more. How plays are run etc so you'd have a better understanding. Anyways great video👍🏾
2016 NBA Dunk Contest please, I'm sure a lot of people agree👍
You should react to Derrick Rose, youngest NBA MVP
We have this kind of basketball because it’s popular with the fans. In the seventies, enough of these guys would land on their heads that few would take the chance on going that high to dunk!
looks like grandpa and grandson trying to have a moment here.
Honorable mention: The numerous dunks on Brandon Knight
Technical foul is essentially a yellow card. Two techs and you’re off for an early bath.
You guys should watch the kobe and lebron puppet episodes. They're hilarious.
2022 is definitely Ja Morants dunk against the Spurs
It is considered extremely disrespectful to walk over a basketball player.
9:10 that’s when you Lebron was best. Got chicken wing by Garnett mid air. Was so strong he stayed on feet still. Now just gets breathed on and falls over in pain for 2 minutes rather than power through.
Y’all should see the NFL combines recently. Even the big linemen are getting fast. There was one recently who was 6’7 and 324 pounds and ran a 4.8 40 yard dash 😅😅 that man is way too big to be moving that fast haha
2022 dunk of the year is also Anthony Edwards Dunk on Vincent. Event though ref called that offensive foul.
Funny how the dunks get less and less disrespectful over the years
Is the perfect time to get into basketball reactions more March madness starts in a week or so
A technical feout is equivalent to a yellow card and soccer and two technical fouls is the equivalent of a red card.
Early days NBA you could taunt a little bit. Today you probably get a tech foul.
11:00 geez Louise lol.
This is NBA only, because 2000/All time is VC during the Sydney Olympics!
You guys should react to the guy at 8:18 the best of Vince Carter or Vince Carter top dunks
My brother school played anthony edwards team his senior yr of hs and they threw an oop off the tip off💀
In terms of Dave’s comment about the foresight to know where to be, you should check out Dennis Rodman, Scotty Pippin, Hakeem Olajuwon or some of the other great defenders.
Being where the ball will be is a real skill.
@5:58, Shaq wasn't being disrespectful, Dudley grabbed his a$$ on the way down. Shaq had every right to push him away!
2:01 The Lister Blister is still one of my favorite moments ever with an incredible announcer call. Shawn Kemp to me is still the best in game dunker of all time. POWER SLAM TOMAHAWK JAM, YEAH BABY!!! #BringBackOurSonics
bring em baaaack
Hell YES. I remember that dunk. God I miss our Sonics. Do the right thing, Silver!
the scottie pippen dunk over ewing is my favorite of all time
Vince Carter is cousins with Tracy McGrady. Both are from Florida.
As bad as my Timberwolves have been over the years, we got some good representation in this one!
should def react to steph curry no look 3s
A "Technical foul" is basically like a yellow card. You get two "Technical fouls" and you get kicked out of the game just like two yellow cards. Taunting being a technical foul is a newer thing or at least the strict enforcement. They used to let lots of things go. The game used to be much more physical. Now they don't tolerate the contact, the "checking" of other people. Now you can't point at people, can't even really stand over a guy and star like you did before.
13:00 technical fouls are a lot like yellow cards except that the other team gets to shoot a single free throw, and they get possession of the ball. If a player gets 2 technicals in the same game they're ejected from the game.
The best dunk I ever saw was Kevin Johnson of the Suns over Houston's Hakeem Olajuwon.
There wasn’t any Allen Iverson dunks in this compilation, smh
Been waiting for more sports reactions and you finally do some, two in a day even, and Daz isn't here for it. Nothing can ever just be good.
Fun fact: Tracy Mcgrady and Vince Carter are cousins.
Crazy part is there are arguably 5 dunks each season that are better than these lol
can't do this anymore.. can't hurt others feelings😥
I'm surprised that we didn't see Ben Wallace or Mason on there
Can y'all plz react to Best of Sidetalk NYC? If you liked that first video, you'll love this one
One pound fifty
Don’t forget their’s a lot of trash talking going between players.......Dunking on someone,sent a message I’ve got you👍🏼🏀🏀🏀🏀......
If this is the sort of thing you like you should react to some 'Slamball'!
Please react to NBA mean tweets. It's hilarious 🤣🤣
Kyrie Irving Mixtape please!!
NFl Recommendation here if you could do “The Buffalo Bills wild return to the playoffs (Week 17) NFL turning point) it’s really good
Quality over quantity.
Keep doing NBA vids please :) react to KingSwish! He makes great compilations
2 technical fouls and ur kicked out the game u gotta go back to the locker room
Surprised they have DeAndre Jordan over Brandon Knight in the compilation
Where is the Dunk of Griffin on Kendrick Perkins?
Deandre Jordan dunk on Brandon knight is 1 of the most disrespectful dunks ever...the fact that it's not on here tells this list is mediocre at best ‼️..great reaction from you fellas as always tho 👌🏿
BBALL love from across the pond ♤♡◇♧
How is the Deandre Jordan dunk not in this video
If it's not Mike Breen or Kevin Harlan I do not want to hear it lol
DeAndre Jordan vs Brandon Knight still the best imo.
Brandon Knight the 6 foot PG? Dayum :P
Please react to LeBron top 35 plays from the NBA
More NBA
They didn't put DeAndre Jordan murdering Brandon Knight ?!
Starks dunked on 3 Bulls players. Obvious a Bulls fan made this
Where's "The Death of Brandon Knight"?
This will always be my favorite dunk of all time. Circumstances certainly play a part. But still an incredible dunk regardless. ua-cam.com/video/63nv211wX4E/v-deo.html
Lebron is a proper monster
React to A little piece of heaven by Avegend sevenfold
OK, getting ready to start the video. But I will be highly disappointed if Shawn Kemp isn’t in it.
Edit:
He’s the first one!!!

Aww man daz missed a great video, make sure he watches it off camera
Ummm….KJ on Hakeem Olajuwon ????
You should react to the NBA's Most Violent Dunker Ever! His dunks sound like a shot gun going off: ua-cam.com/video/pxGs6uBLxp4/v-deo.html
maybe the best dunk of all time wasn't even on there!!! Vince Carter the Olympics .
8:30 Vince Carter is generally considered to be the greatest dunker ever. He was a solid/good player overall. But wow could he dunk!
It's not the dunk itself. You usually only see a dunk when someone gets behind the defense and no one's there but someone's there and they go for a dunk like the defender isn't there. Just disregard a man's existence. You your just going to dunk anyway? That's disrespectful.
I mean, not really, it's part of the game, if one is bigger or jumps higher than the other, a dunk is a natural occurrence.
I'm sorry but I just saw the same thing repeat itself over and over. What's so cool about that? I'm not a basketball fan but aren't there suppose to be different types of dunks?
:)
Now react to the WNBA one... oh wait...
NVM....
