-Glory to God in the highest, and on the earth peace, good will amongst men. We praise Thee, we bless Thee, we bow to Thee, we glorify Thee, we give thanks to Thee for Thy great glory.
-Lord, heavenly King, God the Father Almighty, Lord the Only-Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
-Take away the sins of the world, recieve our prayer. Thou that sittest at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For Thou art holy, Thou art the Only Lord, Jesus Christ, to the Glory of the Father, amen.
-Every day I will bless Thee and praise Thy name forever. Vouchsafe, Lord, to keep us this day without sin.
-Blessed art Thou, Lord God of our fathers, and praised and glorified is Thy name forever, amen. Let, Lord, Thy mercy be on us as we have hoped in Thee.
-Blessed art Thou, Lord, teach me Thy statutes (thrice)
Lord! Thou hast been our refuge in generation and generation.
-I said: Lord! have mercy on me. heal my soul, for I have sinned against Thee. Lord! To Thee have I fled for refuge, teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God.
For in Thee is the fountain of life, in Thy light shall we see light. Continue Thy mercy onto them that know Thee.
-Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us! (Thrice)
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, and now and forever, amen.
-Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. Holy God, Holy Strong, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us!
Orthodox chants are so amazingly beautiful, so pure, so angelic. They make one feel closer to Heaven
Anyone else agree that 8:50 through 10:30 is pure gold ?
Absolutely. It is :
HOLY GOD, HOLY ALMIGHTY, HOLY IMMORTAL, HAVE MERCY ON US.
I've long loved this beautiful work, and I just read who the soloist is - Dmitri Hvorostovsky. You couldn't get a much better combination of beauty with this wonderful choir and arguably the best baritone there ever was. RIP Dimitri.
This comes from deep inside the heart of a master, who wrote modern music during the day and prayed with music in the still of the night while listening to his heart.
I am speechless; it is as though I stand naked before God. That is how this music makes me feel.
Divine..
The Lord be magnified ad praised now and forever
I can't stop listening to this beautiful music.
The composer is a Bulgarian - Apostol Nikolaev - Strumski God bless these Russian singers who have chosen to sing the music of this Bulgarian author.
+Ivan Yanakiev how low is that from 3:13 to 3:28 ??
+James Rhodes They are singing in g minor. The note you're hearing is G1.
It is Pasjukov, and I heard him before sing G1,but I thought I heard lower note. Thanks
+James Rhodes It is D form great octave (2 octaves below middle c. The piece is transposed a whole tone higher.
+Ivan Yanakiev i'm amateur in terms of knowledge, but i enjoy to listen. So is this G1 or F1, if they goes whole tone higher??
Lydia Sutschkow

Our dear Christ became man that in HIm we might become God. So the Orthodox Church through her humility and gratitude employs the acapella technique in her celebration of the incomprehensible gift of our prophesied deification in Him alone.
Cry every time so beautiful
I absolutely love 3:13 to 3:28. The oktavist makes my skin tingle :)
I think this just might be my favourite out of all the Russian Orthodox liturgical work I have listened to.
Its pasjukov
Breathtaking!!! Instant favorite!

thank you for this beautiful music
thank you again to share this wonderful russian music
Sim!!!Linda
Great music!
красиво
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WOW WOW WOW. THIS IS UA-cam ALGORITHM WORKING AS INTENDED. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FUCKING PIECE ABOUT THE TRAGEDY AND ANGUISH OF LIFE AND FINDING GOD. This will be on repeat for a while for me. It resonates that deeply with my soul.
Bless God in all his Glory for this.
You need to repent dude, for using the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ in such foul language. Jesus loves you but you are not to take the Name of the Lord God in vain. Please don`t do that again. Thank you.
Excellent dynamics in keeping with the reverence of this prayer.
low F. THAT guy...
After 3:18? Yes--it is the wonderful oktavist Vladimir Pasyukov. This performance is actually up a step from the score, so it's a G--but yes, amazing!
Russians... Perfect.
Katarina Savić In this case Bulgarian but yeah. Chances are you came here through Russian music like I did.
Bulgarian composer, but Russian preformers.
Gyonyoru
