Salad is mostly comprised of Lettuce, which is why people say "theres no nutritional value" since lettuce is just basically water, but I mean you can add meat, tomatos, cheese, other vegetables, etc. A salad is not always just purely lettuce lol.

The carnivore diet is honestly one of the saddest trends that I have seen in recent years, especially since there have already been case reports of people developing cardiovascular problems from the insanely high amounts of saturated fats that they ingest. I can't criticise his lifestyle too much because I'm fat and diabetic and he looks like he's in much better shape than me. But he also seems to have youth on his side. I had a pretty poor lifestyle in my 20s and felt fine, but I was writing a lot of cheques; and those bills came due all at once when I hit 40. Lifestyle-related ill health isn't a slope that you roll down, it's a cliff you fall of. His bills are going to come due eventually too.

I was on a very strict keto diet for just shy of 2 years. I agree with this crazy dude this type of diet does work and you will feel great. Too bad I eventually became hypoglycemic due to my long term very strict keto diet. Let me tell you it did take over 18 months before I had this problem, but hypoglycemia sucks! Easy enough to fix but it forced me off the keto. I still feel 90% better but keto does work until it doesn't.
And one thing that these carnivores never address or even consider is that, at some point, the human body doesn't handle these nutrients well at all. Too much protein can kill your kidneys and cause heart disease. Too much of anything can be considered toxic to your body, no matter how "healthy" it is.
There is a very small, select group of people that the carnivore diet is good for. Its usually people who have systemic issues and/or allergies with a broad variety of foods. And, FOR THEM, its an ideal way to eat, and they find that a lot of their health problems disappear. Similarly, a zero animal protein diet is also ideal for a small, select group whose bodies have issues processing animal protein. The real reason carnivore diets have become popular is because a normal person with no dietary problems and no food-related health issues can go carnivore and lose weight really fast. Just like keto diets. My doctor had me start eating ketogenically 20 years ago, WAY before keto was popular. Why? Because i am hyper-sensitive to processed carbs. My high blood pressure and diabetes resolved, and i lost weight. It was NOT the ridiculous version you see now, but a mix of green veg, lean meat, and limited fruit. And it worked. But most people dont need that kind of dietary restriction. They're just looking for a quick weight loss diet that doesnt actually make them sacrifice anything they eat. We want the bodies of supermodels with the lifestyle of a 1,000 pound person.
Show me a TickTock carnivore over the age of 40 who's been on this diet for over 20 years. When we are twenty-nothing years old we can eat anything and still appear to be healthy. I worked for a meatpacking company. Any part of the meat that touched metal could be contaminated! No matter how good the sanitary standards are, you are risking your health on how good a hungover twenty something feels like cleaning.

I can't criticise his lifestyle too much because I'm fat and diabetic and he looks like he's in much better shape than me. But he also seems to have youth on his side. I had a pretty poor lifestyle in my 20s and felt fine, but I was writing a lot of cheques; and those bills came due all at once when I hit 40. Lifestyle-related ill health isn't a slope that you roll down, it's a cliff you fall of. His bills are going to come due eventually too.

Normally when someone says we should only have meat or only have vegetables I respond with "check your teeth"
I was on a very strict keto diet for just shy of 2 years. I agree with this crazy dude this type of diet does work and you will feel great. Too bad I eventually became hypoglycemic due to my long term very strict keto diet. Let me tell you it did take over 18 months before I had this problem, but hypoglycemia sucks! Easy enough to fix but it forced me off the keto. I still feel 90% better but keto does work until it doesn't.
And one thing that these carnivores never address or even consider is that, at some point, the human body doesn't handle these nutrients well at all. Too much protein can kill your kidneys and cause heart disease. Too much of anything can be considered toxic to your body, no matter how "healthy" it is.

There is a very small, select group of people that the carnivore diet is good for. Its usually people who have systemic issues and/or allergies with a broad variety of foods. And, FOR THEM, its an ideal way to eat, and they find that a lot of their health problems disappear. Similarly, a zero animal protein diet is also ideal for a small, select group whose bodies have issues processing animal protein. The real reason carnivore diets have become popular is because a normal person with no dietary problems and no food-related health issues can go carnivore and lose weight really fast. Just like keto diets. My doctor had me start eating ketogenically 20 years ago, WAY before keto was popular. Why? Because i am hyper-sensitive to processed carbs. My high blood pressure and diabetes resolved, and i lost weight. It was NOT the ridiculous version you see now, but a mix of green veg, lean meat, and limited fruit. And it worked. But most people dont need that kind of dietary restriction. They're just looking for a quick weight loss diet that doesnt actually make them sacrifice anything they eat. We want the bodies of supermodels with the lifestyle of a 1,000 pound person.
Show me a TickTock carnivore over the age of 40 who's been on this diet for over 20 years. When we are twenty-nothing years old we can eat anything and still appear to be healthy. A salad with grilled chicken on a bed of mixed greens with bacon, some blue cheese, tomatoes, candied pecans and dried cranberries is far more tastier and healthier then I testicle butter dog
