HiFiiEntertainment Yeah Naughty By Nature does have their fair share of hits but whenever people list their favorite emcee's, Treach never comes up. Which makes him underrated as he is clearly one of the best rappers in flow, lyrics, and style and overall finesse.
At its core this song is about hopelessness. Black, white, brown, red, yellow. If your life is a hopeless shitshow, you feel and relate to Treach’s lyrics
I can’t wait till I can say the same! I had surgery for thyroid cancer 7 months ago. Then radiation, they were able to get all the cancer out. I have an ultrasound next month. Looking forward to good news! 😀
@@erictolbert4769 You ever noticed how some of the street's most thorough dudes can actually be rather great fathers that sometimes have rather well mannered children?
I know right I heard treach is currently in a tv show called Carl Weber’s the family business He plays the main antagonist in season 2 brother X part of the Muslim organization called the brotherhood
Believe it or not, this is one of the best songs to work out to. Even if you can't directly relate to Treach's circumstances growing up, if you've had demons in your head to overcome and experienced doubt from others, this will still HIT. Forever one of my fav classic albums to bump
“If you ain’t never been to the ghetto, don’t ever come to the ghetto. Cause you wouldn’t understand the ghetto. So stay the FUCK outta ghetto.” Words so real that Treach didn’t even try to rap them, just spoke real shit at the end of a song filled with real shit rhymes
This is my GO-TO... You can never tell me music isn't a healer. This is what I go to, when I am in a bad place. I wish one day, I can meet some of my Hip Hop idols and tell them how they have impacted my life.
This song takes me back to my childhood. I was listening to this song when it first came out. I was 8 years old living in the projects in N.Y. Never met my dad at that time. Had this on cassette.
Eminem mentioned Treach in a Grammy acceptance speech along with some other emcees. I was happy to hear him mention Treach because the first time I heard Eminem I thought of Treach. I said, this guy's been listening to Naughty by Nature. Treach's speed, enunciation and subject matter are all things Eminem has followed.
This is the first rap song I remember hearing. I was 6 years old and was instantly hooked. I remember my dad telling me he didn't want me listening to it and that rap was a fad that would be gone in a couple years 🤣 Boy was he wrong.
I met treach in ny city in 2007. He was cool as cool gets. This group was so talented . I grew up getting through my shitty childhood listening to this song. Thanks naughty by nature, thanks for all the help.
That entire album is solid. Treach is probably the most naturally gifted rapper combined with a strong intellect. He's probably my #1 all time favorite when I want to hear someone just spit knowledge. Tupac is probably the most influential with a similar intellect, but he can't touch Treach nor could Biggie as far as my personal preference.
The first cassette i ever bought was Rnu DMC- Raising Hell. Instantly hooked on rap. I was in first grade. Years later I got a CD player for Christmas. Naughty by Nature was my cd. I started with 2 of the finest.
I was a 13 year old queens NYC kid reading comic books, doing graffiti, skateboarding, breaking into cars with my buddies, causing mayhem for no reason and listening to the best rap in those years. If you was alive during that golden era then you was lucky.
No need 2cry,we built 4this SHIT,I'm ADOS 😠FROM 1of the original 13 colonies, Harriet Tubman ran thru my back yard,Nat Turner is family!!! We hard 2 kill!!
Naughty got labeled as Old School by a lot of fans that really didn’t know by the time Gangster or Street Rap change in Hip Hop that really took off after Dre released the Chronic . NBN really where ahead of their time having some tracks that could be considered on the harder side definitely had a more complex style of rapping with lyricisms. More professional sounding beat and vocal recordings that helped overall quality of sound.
Matthew Ukdow If you're just getting into the group, go listen to "Craziest, Feel me Flow, OPP, and The Only Ones" These guys made some great albums for sure.
It was alotta crazy groups back then, EPMD,public enemy, run DMC, ghetto boys,2live Crew, BDP, NWA, Compton most wanted,2nd2 none,I could keep naming them because shit was lit back then 4real!!!! Treach honestly has to be the most underrated emcee nobody ever paid attention to. Dude was insane!
AGREED!!!
MassiveGat too many hit songs too be considered under rated...

WORD 100% TRUTH

I love you and respect your whole listening talents ❤️💯💪👆🙏

I always talk about them when I get a chance
No doubt. Treach is so underrated. Should be considered top 20 all time. Such a dank and unique flow
All good cause I still know how good they are.

This new generation will never know what it's all about!
Psalm 68:5 ❤❤❤
We do have a father, just have to trust he has a bigger plan for you!
43 years old and still probably strongest and most felt lyrics I've ever heard.
This song is 30 years old.
41 here. We grew up on this. These young bucks got nothing on these lyrics
Aye
Same here, man. I hear ya. 45 years old here.
Take care peace. ✌🏻
This definitely was a banger in my teens.
This is perhaps the greatest series of bar set to a beat by one of the greatest MCs to grace this planet.
Treach is so ill. You, sir, have great taste
My favorite line, "If you didn't live it, you can't feel it. So kill it, skillet." Words to live by...
Just popped in my head after damn near 30 years. Had the cd as a young shithead in the 90s. Good music never fades
Treach underrated

One of my favorite rap songs...ever!
I got 10 long 90s playlists naughty is on all of them
Treach 1 of the most underrated lyricist in the game.
A song that never dies. It's so real. Anytime you play it, ever new.
This album came out when I was in elementary school and it’s still pretty damn heavy almost 30 years later.
Job 36:5

Truth. Today's music is not half as good. Old school for ever!!
Older than the 90's

Now this is real rap... and I'll bet my life there ain't no rapper today who can churn out such stuff... Gold Standard!
Back when rap was good.
Everyone says that about music from their time! You just have to expect that music evolves!

Untouchable lyrics!
Real lyrics SHOUT OUT TO TREACH!
The contrast between the hook and lyrics. First time really listening to this, the lyrics are so raw, hook is so cheerful, ironic and heartbreaking.
I met treach in ny city in 2007. He was cool as cool gets. This group was so talented . I grew up getting through my shitty childhood listening to this song. Thanks naughty by nature, thanks for all the help.

It’s actually a sample of Boney M’s cover version of that song.
