The meaning of Pannucoffee

Helsinki-based coffee roastery Kaffa Roastery and leather goods and lifestyle brand Kasperi are launching a traditional Finnish pannucoffee (pot coffee) roast, specifically created for the outdoors lifestyle and to bring the age-old Nordic tradition back to vogue. At the same time, a website dedicated to collecting folklore and wisdom surrounding this historical brewing method is opened. www.pannucoffee.com will act as a hub and a platform for spreading word of this tradition. Finnish people consume more coffee per person (10kg/year) than any other country in the world, and the
traditional brewing method of pannucoffee was used to make coffee until the 1970’s.
