Came here after Sui-chan talked about the live drummer tweeted how he was tire from this song. After a close listen on the drum part, no wonder he got tired from playing this song lmao
I mean, this is drum machine breakbeat style stuff. It's an honestly really beautiful mix of analog and electronic instruments. I'm sure it's a style there's more of, but the chorus is amazing with the bass synth and breakbeat being overlaid with a solo violin, a trumpet, and Suisei herself. It feels like a triumphant demonstration of how well all these things can mesh together, feeling a bit like an affirmation of the whole concept of Suisei through composition choices. I do love the drummer for doing it, and for his kicks boldly letting me *finally* count along to the white screen parts. He might kick himself for having to do it, but I deeply appreciate it.
