Always fun to smell the naturals. As a chef (French bistro) I’m familiar with most spices and seasonings. In fact I work with florals, too. There is a strong connection between food aromatics and fragrances. Many of the same ingredients/notes that go well together in food are the same for perfume. I should start making fragrances, too lol

Pefect answer, i do the same, i purchase my fragrances after 4 to 5 months and finished the recent purchased bottle so i can enjoy new one.
I’ve always wondered what you do with all of them. Obviously you wear some but don’t they expire and lose their projection and longevity after a while?

It makes me so sad that I don’t like silky woods at all. I don’t pick up any other note than suede/leather. I’m a huge fan of vanilla, spice, etc. and truly am baffled that I don’t pick up any of it. Could it be part of a bad batch? I just don’t get it.

Did I see 4711 by Muelhens on the top shelf? My great grandmother used to wear it in Germany during the early 1900s. I bought my grandmother a bottle for Christmas a few years ago. Nice to see it!

That is an amazing collection, but most of these fragrances are way out of my budget. I miss the days when you would talk more about designer/affordable perfumes.
