@Ghost_tf143 This is why fans need to stay out of coaching decisions and hirings. Why would we want to keep Thomas Brown as ANYTHING when we haven't won a game since he's been coordinator?? We HAVE to dismantle the entire coaching staff especially offensively, and get a new head coach. Hiring from within is lazy and it never worked out for the Bears ever. I even read a comment talking about how Thomas Brown REMINDS them of Mike Tomlin meaning they look alike.. As if that's a sign that we could win a Superbowl with him as coach because of how he looks or who he looks like. Ridiculous!
I would love for the owners to sell. We as fans deserve an owner who will open the check book for talent and have the passion/drive to want to win a championship 🐻⬇️ oh and fire flus.
Nick, I have been a fan since I was 9 years old in 1963! I have been a subscriber to your show for at least 1 year. The best and most novel thing the McCaskey’s could do that would honor George Halas’s legacy is to SELL THE TEAM TO THE FANS! Green Bay is a model for this. How fitting this would be, right?!
From what it’s worth, the Packers did this due to poor funding and near bankruptcy on multiple occasions. They started splitting and selling shares just to keep the team alive. They are the smallest local market in the whole NFL and rely on fans from outside the area to keep them relevant which they and the NFL are good at doing for them
Charles , same for me , a fan since the early ‘60’s , I’ve seen it all , the Bears might have won multiple championships if George had of sold the team long ago , George only cares about the gate receipts , not a Football man , and I like the response from @ windycityflier23 , also ! John 🐻🏉
That style of ownership is actually outlawed by the NFL now but Green Bay was grandfathered in. Money wise, GB does pretty well. Now when they sell shares, its typically to pay for upgrades to Lambeau, such as each of its major expansions
@straycatxpress - Caleb Williams is looking a lot more confident with Thomas Brown as the OC. The Bears will probably wait until the off-season to make coaching changes.
George, let me please be your Ted Lasso. I may not know all the rules of football, but I can guarantee you and all our loyal football fans and team, I will bring a new and improved season to our team. I have been a Bears fan from the womb to the tomb. I have watched every game and I can promise you we can be a much better team. If I can be the head coach at half of what you’re paying now for a head coach, I will guarantee you we will be better. I may not be a professional coach, but I know I can do better than what’s been happening now. The question is are you willing to step out of the box and go for a new direction? The choice is yours, but we (fans) cannot endure more especially when we know we have the talent but not the coaching. Thank you, Abraham A. Arias
When you have a winner like CW, you have to do what's right !! I believe they will sell but I don't wish demise of no one. Get the right coach in here and all will work !!
Glad to hear McKaskey is listening, that gives me some hope. Hopefully with Kevin we nail the next coach. Love the Arlington Heights plan, makes no sense to pledge 2 Billion to the city when you already own this!
Bears need to build a stadium like SoFi in Arlington Heights. Make it an entertainment complex with restaurants/bars/music venue/hotels/plenty of parking/ tailgate park
@jimoconnor6382 nobody wants to travel to Soldier Field. What a pain to get in and out of. You can't utilize public transportation that well. Parking and tailgating sucks. Another crammed pain in the @ss stadium on the lake. Bears would miss out again. Bears need to build a SoFi Stadium complex in Arlington Heights. Restaurants, bars, a park, parking, etc.
Minimum I need a new HC and new staff with it hopefully being the OC in Detroit or any good OC out there, Caleb and the weapons we have make it enticing. Would LOVE to see new Ownership but I wont hold my breath.
I would like the Bears to get new owners soon. Hopefully someone that will be able and willing to compete with any other team financially. Bring back the Honey Bears too! Bear down!
Gotta give McCaskey credit for having balls. How many of us, if we owned a team, would go out and wander around tailgating parties when we know our fans are pissed off? Not many of us. I wouldn't just get too excited about the team being sold. It will be sold to the highest bidder, not necessarily the best ownership group. Could be a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire. (Yes, there are football teams that have worse ownership than the Bears). Be hopeful, but cautious. For the glare on those pictures behind you, you might want to look into some anti-glare plastic film. I believe that those are pretty cheap. I think the offense has looked so much better under TB i just think it’s the decision making by Matt Eberflus that makes us lose these close games. hoping we can pull out the win on Thursday. We’ve played very competitive football recently. Caleb has looked great
Firing Eberflus has got to be coming in at the end of this year. Greg Roman has to be a future meeting even though he seems happy in L.A. here's hoping.

Changes have happened with Poles fleecing the Panthers and firing Waldron. I would love it if the McCaskey's sold but I have some optimism that they can find a great HC after firing Flus
If the owners refuse to fire the head coach that's all we need to know. Flus in Detroit last year 31 to 26 loss was one of the most horrific coaching meltdowns that few will ever see in their lifetime. Can he beat that on Thanksgiving Day? We shall see.
@JAYChi_Bears You know, George and Ted in the old days were alot different than now. Why is everyone letting poles off the hook? He's the architect of this sh*t show were watching. To be picking in the to 10 again after 3 seasons is just criminal and is a fireable offense
I mean, it's really his second season. He had gutted the team of old money and bad contracts his first year, took on a ton of dead cap to reset the books and didn't have a 1st round pick. So in 2 real seasons, we've got a secondary that is young and locked up, a good receiving core that's locked up and we have a QB thats looked as good as any Bears QB I can remember, even as a rookie. Poles needs to do what he did for Mahomes in his last season there and bring in 4 new starters on the Oline. We're gonna have damn near 80mil in cap space and 3 picks in the top 40. Every last bit of it should be dedicated to the trenches. He said this wouldn't be a quick turnaround when he was hired. I do think the turnaround is as simple as getting players in the trenches and getting a competent head coach with an offensive philosophy. I said they were a 7 win team going into the season, idk why folks are surprised. The rookie looked like a rookie for a while, week 11 to 12 is traditionally where the QBs who are going to figure it out do so and hit their stride. Folks expecting to be in the playoffs were out of their mind, and even more butt hurt after being teased with the 4-2 start against a bum schedule. This team was far to weak in the trenches to ever really compete this year. I think Poles should get his 2nd coaching hire like most GMs do and continue to build. In the mean time, can't wait to get embarrassed by the Lions on national TV.
You cannot let Brown be the interim HC. He's doing well with his current position at OC. If he's promoted to HC, would he take a demotion when we actually search for a HC? If you want him retained by our new HC, keep Brown at OC and promote Hightower to HC. Brown has not done anywhere near enough to warrant crowning him our HC. I'd like to see him retained but with a different HC, preferably Benny or Vrabel.
This is good knowledgeable stuff. I don't know what to start so I will make it quick and sweet, McCaskey family will sell the team sooner or later, It's time for a new leadership voice in winning. Coach Flus play calling days are over. Send in Thomas Brown for interim HC and finally, Ben Johnson is next in line as your next Bears HC. Bear 🐻 Down.
Bears owners are very good people so I hate to compare to cowboys situation. I think Bears owners need to look at themselves as part of this equation. Go Packers...sorry we need stronger Bears for Packers to become better and take down Lions and Vickings...
Every single year about halfway through the season I just give up any hope I had. There’s no championship in sight for years. Even if they hired a good coach, I don’t see them winning enough against their division to make any splash. It would take a literal miracle
@ you’d think Eberflus was the *only* coach capable of losing those games. Maybe anybody else is an upgrade. But I’m sick of them hiring some unproven coordinator. It hasn’t worked in 15 years, and there is no reason to gamble on it. I’m not convinced Ben Johnson is the supposed to be the savior
I'm optimistic about this news, but I'm not holding my breath on them selling the team. I'll believe it when I see it. But I do believe McCaskey is implying that Flus will be gone. Hopefully that means after the Detroit game. And based on those tweets from SearsTower, that seems possible
Like this video if you want the McCaskey’s to sell the team, along with your reaction IF they do sell the Bears

Bears owners are very good people so I hate to compare to cowboys situation. I think Bears owners need to look at themselves as part of this equation. Go Packers...sorry we need stronger Bears for Packers to become better and take down Lions and Vickings...
Agreed, change is needed
Every single year about halfway through the season I just give up any hope I had. There’s no championship in sight for years. Even if they hired a good coach, I don’t see them winning enough against their division to make any splash. It would take a literal miracle
With any other coach, or even a road cone on the sidelines they would be 2-0 in the division right now.
Sad
I'm optimistic about this news, but I'm not holding my breath on them selling the team. I'll believe it when I see it. But I do believe McCaskey is implying that Flus will be gone. Hopefully that means after the Detroit game. And based on those tweets from SearsTower, that seems possible

PLEASE SELL!!! AND BUILD THE STADIUM !!! BEARDOWN ✌️ 💯 💪 👊!!!
I agree! There needs to be change!
I have mixed feeling on the McCaskey's Selling up for Papa Bear , the Bears do need better management to succeed

They need to get her ass in the Hall of Fame I mean come on they got Jerry Jones in there why in the hell can't she get in
The change is head coach and stadium
I agree! There needs to be change!
Bezos has expressed a serious interest in acquiring the team..
The NFL owners would never allow him to come into their exclusive little club. They all get a vote.
@@planreview Guess again... Billionaires love Billionaires. They ALL benefit if Bezos buys in.
Really?
Either the QB's get traded or the coaches get fired. That's the Chicago Bears way.
I agree! There needs to be change!
