On my first time listening to this tape I had visions of a sandy desert, its climate shifting from the sweltering heat of midday- a symbolic sun lingering at its highest point in the sky- to the bitter coldness of night. To anyone who loves the desert and loves horror stories, please read Clark Ashton Smith’s short story ‘The Abominations of Yondo’. The purity of its surreal horror is mesmeric.
