"Tilting" made me think of the following overused meme:
"Keep Calm
and Carry"
I was JUST about to leave a message suggesting a video on how to play from behind, too! This is the #1 issue I have in ranked and we usually can't make a comeback.
Thank you so much for this vid and I look forward to more. :D
"There are two situations where you are going to be playing from behind." ~Jeremy 2014 #neverforget
that thresh was really good
Dat cait getting hook left and right, adc like that probably is frustrating to support with...
or just accept that the thresh is really good
***** No it's not the thresh, if she was a good adc she would time his hook in order to juke it(timing it after he used it the 1st time), if you watch closely she didn't even try to juke it and ran in a straight line making the hook way easier to land.
AE. Eida well we're the observers, can't really experience what the caitlyn is feeling at that time. probably on tilt, fear of ganks, fear of lacking cs, or as the video pointed out, wanting to make some sort of big play and kill both thresh and lucian to get back into the game.
***** I agree, it's a lot easier to say than actually do. Like if that was me instead of cait I'm at least 95% sure that hook would've hit me too. I guess that's the difference between a good adc and a great one.
Thanks Jeremy your videos made me look at league in a whole new way
Jeremy, will you ever livestream or show a full match of a ranked?
Great video. Thanks for the Curse voice key also :)!
that thresh has taeyeon as his/her nameee :)
My preffered tactic is to turtle it. But a lot of players don't do 1 thing when they turtle, they do not ward. When you turtle you must ward every objective and then some, especially your jungle it must be 24/7 warded. If you have enough vision you can actually see when the enemy overextends, and trust me they do. Today actually I had a match while I was in my qualifier for gold 2 where I played nocturne and our team was 14 kills behind, but we had malphite and yasuo (who was so bad he didn't build any crit until mid game came, and also had like 1/8), but then late game started and we managed to start owning. Which brings me to my next point, understand your teamcomp. You must know what your team is supposed to do, and act around that idea. Our enemies had a bad comp for teamfights but they still did them, which was stupid and in the end costed them the game. Another very important tip I can tell is focus around not getting killed more than getting kills while you are behind. You should do that the whole game actually but it's even more important when you are behind. Because it will help the guys who are ahead stay ahead even more. Because while you are dead they can push harder. I learned most of this last season as I climbed to platinum but now I got sent to gold, and I can see a difference. Players who are in a lower league have the tendency to go full ham most of the time, keep that in mind and exploit it. Also this isn't a general tip, it depends on what you are playing. While behind try to maximize your lane clear, and if you got any cc's on a low cooldown try to get them even lower with cooldown reduction. An example is Gragas, I had a match where we were 4v5, and we were really really behind, but they just couldn't push because my barrel's just obliterated minion waves, and because of cooldown reduction i could disengage all fights. In the end we still lost because you can't really win 4v5 if the enemy team is competent. And the last tip I have is never ever but never really don't ever do this: try to take baron or dragon while you are behind and you don't have enough vision. And by that I mean seeing from their middle turret trough their jungle. The baron is the throw magnet of the game use it to your advantage not to your disadvantage.
Do u have a video on what to do when getting zoned?
"While i talk, lets watch this Caitlyn get hooked and play badly over and over again". I do understand where the inspiration of this video came from xD
I know he may have answered this before, but what is the name of the song that plays in all his videos? It's so darn catchy xD
TLDR do nothing, wait for your opponent to fuck up, hope your team doesn't fall down the shitter with you.
arigatou jeremy-san~
I'm following you for your awesome guide, thank you !
I think you should put a little music behind your voice i think :)
Won a 4v5 the other day by doing exactly what this video suggests. We set up picks, stuck together, and played smarter than we would have as a full 5.
Great video. I think my #1 biggest problem with League is that I'm bad at dealing with being behind, but only on ADC. I refuse to play ADC in PvP for this very reason. I'm good at dealing with being behind as top, mid, and support (and a little bit with jungle), but not at all as ADC.
In any other position, I can usually still be useful by building tanky and buying tons of wards. But as ADC I can't do that and still need to CS, so I wind up getting zoned out and getting completely destroyed.
What I usually see happening is my team never leave laning phase when we're behind which results in us getting caught over and over again. Or trying to make a 5v5 happen when you should clearly not under any circumstance 5v5 :P
The keys were gone within 5 minutes of the video being posted. I couldn't claim one since I was on my phone when it came out :(
Oh well, there will be more with his tutorials in the future. So good luck to all that want one and keep up the great work Jeremy.
Its true people should just stay calm.. quite often I find people giving up immediately when they are failing. Like they dont even wanna try anymore. Keep calm, try to avoid getting caught again etc. And please, if someone ganks for you and the ganker gets the kill, dont nag him about ks. Getting that kill means an oppurtunity to push the lane and posibly down tower. Besides IT IS YOUR fault you were failing, and you get assist gold anyway.
nice man
Jeremy I highly suggest that you make the links at the end of the video open a link in a new tab LOL
No you cannot, not with annotation links (:
I'm your biggest phan
very nice :D
damn u fed hard that game
What to Do When You Are Behind:
1. Stalling/Passive play- just defend turrets especially when your team has great wave clear. stall the game, farm, and wait for the other team to make mistakes then capitalize on them. teams ahead often make mistakes in solo Q, even in challenger.
2. Split push- old but still reliable tactic, great when your team is so behind in level and items against the enemy team. at least get other objectives in response. great when having champions that can split push fast and has escapes.
3. Risk play- contest objectives, risky but great rewards. ward the vicinity and try to pick of any stragglers, best done with the whole or majority of your team.
4. Item builds- get an item build that your team currently needs. teamwork wins games, even just in itemization.
5. Team Communication - duh. :)
Thanks for the CV Beta Key! Also, was I really the only one to try the first key?
no i got one to lol his video was just released
that cait though....
Jeremy, I hardly hope to get your reply at least in text version
Maybe it was another in another video, then I would be glad to receive link.
If I`m behind in game and I don`t refuse that I`m making mistakes but whole team starts flaming, gets demotivated because of result 0/3 and refuse to communicate, is there any way to win this game or shall I just accept the lose?
Jeremy what do I do, or better. how can I deal with smurf players
thresh made a death paragraph of that cait
How to survive when u got dive by tf, panth, ryze, shen ??
I was in my promos and lost the first game. I was playing Leona with a jinx bot and they jinx was really bad at positioning at one point it was 1 to 25 kills. We were about to surrender but than our kayle said to try and teamfight and see if we could win them and we did every teamfight and the fiora carried the game for us.
The most tilting thing can be your team.
Realizing you're behind, you play it safe, and being called a passive bitch, then they try to go in and get slaughtered and spam report bot.
then the jungler come and dives you because you let him build a wave and feeds jungler to
What do i do if i'm lagging too much and my team refuses to help in any way? :l
Your picture scares me. Lux scares me.
Thanks for the Curse Voice key:)
but how about building offensive like you would normally go when you are behind ? i remember Crumbzz said that "in solo queue when you are behind don't just go for tank build go offensive and take your chance if you go tank then you will just end of being behind whole game" he is challenger jungle in Team Dignitas still think building defensive is better ? i'm not sure myself
Билгүүн Гантөмөр Well, in Solo Queue the main problem is that you can't rely on your team mates. Building defensively after you are behind makes sure you stop feeding and eventually get back into the game, if you play safe. Your team needs to be doing fairly well themselves and even has to help you get back into the game. Now that ofcourse works if you have a good team and you are well coordinated, but if that is not the case, then you will probably have to carry the game yourself. Now that's where the issue lies. If you build defensively, you are relying on your team to perform well and help you out. You can't carry anyone like that. In Solo Queue a good player would rather build damage and take some more risk, try to outplay their opponents to get the lead back, instead of giving up on themselves and relying on their team.
So basically if you build damage, you have to play agressively and outplay your opponents who are ahead, which is usually going to result in further feeding, or you build defensively, play passive until you catch up and then build your damage items.
On my last promo game to gold we were very behind. They managed to get all drakes a baron and all outer turrets i think 7 kills too. But in the last tf at 30 we Just won the teamfight and the game. How? Like Wtf the throw
I remember a game where our entire team was behind. . .but because of our team comp we were able to win teamfights. . . so we kept FORCING the teamfights by just pushing 5 down on each tower.
I do have a question. . .I had tried to do this
I was adc. me and my support got stomped cause of a great gank by the enemy and we just couldnt recover. So i tried following your advice and built tankier but then the team (and enemy team) started calling me a troll for it. I tried to point out that i was beaten badly and i admit it was my fault and i was building HP to be useful later saying I'd "Cover our APC and assassin who had both gotten fed"
i couldn't convince them i wasnt trolling. . .Is. ..building tanky on the ADC if stomped into the ground. . .a bad idea? should i have kept building damage to hope to recover late game?
That IS a bad idea haha :S no matter what when adc, keep building damage. Thats why they are categoriesed as Carries. I have seen Adc's go 0/3/0 make comebacks. Keep farming up, push lanes when safe and slowly build up damage again.
You still have to learn to be flexible in building though. Theres no point on sticking to rush a BF sword when you can barely farm 100g because the enemy is beating you up. Be situational, if you are getting caught and cant escape, get boots. If you cant afford a BF, get something you can afford first (even just a dorans helps). Or you could even build attack speed to farm up a little faster. Look for opputunities like dragon when its safe or some of the jungle (dont take all, you might piss the jgler off. Go to like golems when hes ganking so by the time he gets back it wouldve spawned already) All This is a little hard to get used to for first timers but youll get there :) Glhf
KoOkiEzRoCkz I must point out if your opponent is competent then they leave very few "safe" opportunities. I do understand the Keep building damage. but not all games allow you to just "Keep building damage" if you're getting stomped too badly then the game can end up over much faster if you don't get helped (which isn't always possible) I mean you going 0/3 usually meant their carry is 3/0 and if they roam this can get out of had fast. If the enemy support returns to lane while the cary roams they can further confuse the enemy into thinking "Ok their adc is shopping/on the way back to lane" Which can result it a missed MIA
I do see the point of "Weakening the ADC doesn't help" but at the same time if you were stomped early game at no build it's safe to assume the enemy is a better player than you and will prolly stomp you again at full build
I HATE blaming anyone other than myself when my lane falls. but when the enemy jungle has ganked us 4+ times by 10 mins and were getting 3 person dove under tower and killed no amount of wards will help at those points i have to say jungle needs to help.
KoOkiEzRoCkz BUT i do see your point
i hate playing with people that either flame or the constant complaining, i want to have fun while playing ranked and if i do bad, i don't usually care i try to be better and improve, but when my team is constantly complaining, there is no way i could ever improve! - EU WEST
if only more people would see this, lol might be a better game (in term of this)! :D
AT 0:55 shoulda use ur w on lucian to stop his ult lol
he is bad. deal with it :)
4:20 blaze it
4:19 dont blaze it
nooooo :( i was 4:20 i swear :'(
Why are supports taking ignite now instead of exhaust?
For some aggressive supports like thresh, who go all in when they fight it, can be very good, but never with a passive support, like soraka.
Oh ok, thanks!
There was this one game when My ping spiked up to 4000, and I still won. LOL
beep boop
sigh jeremy if u see this plez make a video about stacking i see even people in plat who stacks tenacity and i just face palm not to mention bronze and silver jesus people are so clueless
i guess youre mentioning ancient golem+mercury treads right?well some ppl want the 24 mgic resist instead of something else in the boot department, but it depends on the enemy team rly
If all else fails build rod of ages
dont max q on lulu TT
my friend watch this and he build tanky as ashe
So you said I should "build tanky". I have never ever seen tanky items (except the last one) on an ADC, and today I have seen a video where a pro commentates a bronze game and he laughs at the midlaner, shauting at him and calling him useless because he has tank items. By the way, to what extend do you mean "build tanky"?
dasten123 Some champions like AD carries simply can't build defensive. But let's say you're a jungler like Lee Sin, if you're ahead you can build some more damage like a Tiamat or Last Whisper, but if you fall behind early, you should build tanky items like Randuin's Omen, Banshee's Veil etc...
dasten123 A very good defensive item for ADCs is Bloodthirster, Mercurial Scimitar or Maw of Malmortius even. They are ofcourse situational, but usually you don't go more defensive than that. You could also build Banshee's or Guardian Angel after your Infinity Edge and one AS item, instead of maybe a Last Wisper or one of the items mentioned above, if you feel like you are extremely behind. However it is probably the rest of you team that will/should go more defensive and protect you, as you are supposed to be purely a damage dealer.
What to do when behind: Buy Warmogs, Buy omen, Buy solari, Buy Merc treads (no particular order)
But when it comes to a point where cant stabilize because you cant even get a pick then you know you're screwed.
you dont inmediatly get to that point, and tahts why the first part of the video is for, realize when u are starting tog et behind
So you need to realize that you're behind as soon as you can or shit's gonna get real, is that it?
Naedox pretty much yeah
Rule no 1 If you happen to have a weedwick stall the game until 40 min and win it after :D
PRO TIP: go to a lane, farm alone.
GG you reach the lvl of others
I think people who searched for this video to get advice on "What to Do When You're Behind" probably realises that they're behind.....
if you are behind on soloq surrender, and start a new game 1 loss + 1 win is better than 1 loss
also you shouldnt have maxed q as you lose your lane and you should support your adc... as a lulu player you should max your E for adcs safety.. same concept with sona---->max w instead of q
man, that caitlyn in gameplay you used was SO BAD ;D
its his duo adc who he plays with in almost all his vids....
The Truth: After the comeback we proceeded to win the game.
The REAL Truth: We lost because EUW servers are shit and everybody god disconnected in our team.
The video length ... Kappa
at 3:30 after chasing them, why didn't u just E wu and use Q?
He did. Still wasn't far enough, since it's kinda slow moving and they were running away.
Josh Boone no he didn't... he replaced it on caitlyn and then q'd
CLG XORTA OH, at 3:30 exactly. I thought you meant at like 3:34.
His E was on CD :)
William Foss still, one Q would have slowed him
these keys vaporize as the video is being uploaded. Wow what delusion :(
Sorry! You are ineligible to claim a Beta Key.
Why can't i claim a curse voice key?
i've lost 3 games in a row.........i dont understand. i had excellent games b4 this. :c
I don't care what people thinks of me! Even the show off ones.
Bot lane sucks.
wtf
there was one game all my teammate and i lose lane but won game its because the enemy got caught and we won tf :D btw wach my lol vine video its so cool
actually its not. It rather sucks, its not even 7sec long ...
Well At least I'm Diamond 5 :b and tell me how it suck ( hope its not because ur league lower than me and you are jealous)
Bon Prasert d5 here too, its not a big deal dude, step up into real life
its big deal since took me 23 wins :)
this season i suppose, its pretty much imposible to get anywhere near diamond if you just started, this season it took me about the same wins to get back to diamond
naw sorry i cant respect my enemies cuz they are always trying to be cocky even when they know how much better im then they are they just try to be cocky so i always abuse them and say gg ez noobs at every game
